The pork chop was divine - it had this crust on it that was crazy good. But then...THEN...we had the waffle and ice cream dessert. Holy...cow...it was the most ridiculously good dessert I've had in, well, as long as I can remember. I will dream of that dessert. The owner and the chef stopped by our table and spoke with us. The flavors were exciting and perfectly cooked - gooey on the inside and flavorful and crisp on the outside, and paired nicely with one of the many craft beers on tap. It's worth noting that like many restaurants in West County, there is a rather limited and traditional set of offerings for those seeking vegetarian options, although I'd love to see that change. The updates to the inside were nice and refreshed from the previous establishment, most noteably to the bar and bathrooms, although you can't miss the adorable dog murals in the main dining area (a big perk for this dog lover). We're looking forward to seeing how the outdoor area emerges once the weather breaks, as we understand there will be yard games, outdoor seating, and a refined and engaging pay-to-play dog park on-site. In the meantime, I recommend this place as a casual place to grab a snack and drink or get dinner out with family and friends. Service is friendly and fast, the owners seem very nice and invested in making the entire experience fantastic for everyone and I wish them success!

With every visit over the last decade or so, my experience continues to decline as the food and service has suffered with time. What once was a staple meal has become a poor iteration of what once was. Bread is obnoxiously thick. The flavors on the ingredients feel off. It's disappointing. On this particular visit, they were a bit skimpy on the au jus sauce (it's normally got a healthy laddle of pan sauce on the bowl) but that's okay. I did splurge for my birthday and get a slice of the peanut butter pie. It was super rich and exactly what peanut butter lovers want in a peanut butter pie.
