The installation failed inspection twice because they insisted on installing other devices instead of the required expansion tank. Flow Pro later returned to correct the issue, and the installation passed final inspection on the third attempt. The job was ultimately completed, but I had to repeatedly follow up with Flow Pro to get the permit and inspection issues resolved. What should have taken 7 to 10 days took 9 weeks.

Kaleb, professional and friendly, took the time to educate me about the issue at hand and provided me with a recommendation. That recommendation led to a visit a couple of days later with Cole and Gus who arrived at my house ready to tackle the issues (root intrusion, aging cast iron pipe, etc.). Cole's investigation was meticulous. Again, as with Kaleb, I received a thorough rundown of the issues and at each step of the pipe exploration he made sure I understood. Cole and Gus dug several feet of dirt to access the outside pipe, hopped up on the roof to tackle it from that angle, successfully jetted the pipe, and recorded everything, again walking me through the steps they were taking. Following this effort, we discussed options to solve the aging cast iron pipe. Cole provided me with a comprehensive proposal and quote for lining the pipe. I was very impressed with Cole's knowledge, presentation of the facts, and honesty. Ultimately, I went with Richard's Plumbing because I was so impressed with their people, their price, which was fair and reasonable, and just as important I felt instinctively, positive vibes. Before the visit, we were told the gas line would be tested (including bubble testing). When the technician arrived, the visit lasted under 10 minutes and consisted mainly of conversation. No bubble test, pressure test, or diagnostic equipment was used during that visit. We were billed $99, and the invoice stated the "gas line is fine," despite no testing being performed at that time. After we raised concerns, follow-up communication acknowledged that: * The odor appeared to be coming from the rear vents of the oven * Ricco's Plumbing does not work on appliances * We should contact TECO for further evaluation Given the seriousness of potential gas or carbon monoxide issues, we expected a more thorough diagnostic approach during the initial visit. We ultimately requested a refund because services beyond a brief discussion were not rendered.
