I don't know when yelp became the place for personal attacks... I thought that was for Facebook. I have actually been to this place, and met the instructors, took a few classes... and it is great. Everyone here made me feel welcomed and I didn't fee like I was being judged for my lack of yoga knowledge. Real, down to earth people. Scott also introduced me to his children... which I think was awesome... not sure how that is taken as a fault in character. Anyway, this place is priced right, comfy, and now my new yoga studio. It is run by a bunch of women who are knowledgeable in yoga and wonderful people. Check them out! Even my kids love it here!! read more

Scott, instructor at Home Yoga was an excellent & patient leader in the practice. He was aware & interested in each person in the class and their varied abilities. There was plenty of room and not too crowded. It was my first class in a long time, so he took it slow for those of us who needed it. This is now my choice for ongoing practice. The instructors at Home give you the best workout not only for your body but restoration for your mind. Thanks to the packaging and Scott, my husband was able to try out yoga and it didn't take long for him to become a regular! Linda has become a regular part of our Tuesdays and Thursdays. I admit I was sceptical at first. I have been taking yoga classes off and on for 30 years but have never found a place I have truly loved. The best I can say about any studio is that I tolerated it and got through the class. Just going through the motions while my mind wanders and clicks, click, clicks away, making mental lists of things I have to do today, tomorrow, next week, next year. Not so with Home Yoga. I'm not sure what it is about this little slice of serenity in the midst of crazy urbanism but I felt completely at peace the minute I walked in the door. The classes I have taken are relatively small. A plus for someone who does not like to battle for space for my yoga mat. Each class I have attended has always been different. You don't get used to the same sequence, so you can't just show up and just go through the motions. Possibly one reason my mind stayed focused on the class. Scott, the owner, is extremely easy to talk to because he is genuinely interested in each student as an individual. I don't look at these classes as "ugh, I have to go to yoga". I actually look forward to the peace my mind and body will get, as well as the actual physical benefit. This studio is A+ and a wonderful addition to the Westside. Just had my first session at this studio and it won't be my last. After having gone to a chiropractor who told me I should really try yoga I hopped on Groupon and found a deal for Home Yoga studio. It is off the beaten bath and a total gem. Most studios are intimidating to me, but this studio has a great community vibe and is very welcoming. I appreciate that there aren't any mirrors which accommodates more focus in your individual practice and the energy of the room. I highly recommend and am excited to make this a regular stop in my routine. read more

So I've been a yogi for almost 8 years now, a few years back after some life set backs I lost touch with my practice. I've been searching for a place that allowed me to re-learn and grow in a friendly and welcoming environment. A lot of other yoga studios have this "elitist," soul-less vibe to them, which makes it hard to feel welcomed and sometimes uncomfortable. They also seem to only want to touch on the "workout" aspect of the practice rather than the practice as a whole (Body, mind AND soul). I feel like Yoga Home Oc is breaking that elitist view of yoga and really taking it back to the basics of what a Yoga practice really is, getting in touch with whats inside. I gave Yoga Home 4 stars because when I went (for a free class) they were still under construction and putting things together, which is understandable since they don't fully open untill 3/2. Also, the studio was a bit cold, they could definitely use a few space heaters. overall I had a great experience. I'll definitely be back to Yoga Home Oc, Scott made me feel welcomed and unashamed of the lack of flexibility my body had gotten to. I cant wait to start my next self-improvement journey here at Home Yoga. read more
