Well, I guess reviews vary. I can see why on the 3 stars here. My stay here was exactly as I expected. A star bump for two reasons: an unexpected charge for daily parking and lack of bananas for late arrivers at breakfast. The parking is $8/Day, fyi. The other meh for me was my dishes in the room (when I arrived), didn't all look clean (there's a dishwasher so not major). I've come to enjoy Home 2 Suites for their open room layout (HATE dark hotel rooms). This one has a really good fitness area, nice outdoor pool area with lounge tables, open area for breakfast and decent cleaning services. They were hitting my room almost daily with refreshening. They were also a little better equipped on the rooms when it came to cooking utensils. It's a convenient location to where I was working and also close to a local YMCA and dining options. Certainly going to be a decent option if you are in the area. No issues while I was there. read more

This staff made our group feel like they were at a 5 star stay! We worked with Adriana with group sales for a room block for our large group event, and they were incredibly responsive and super helpful to our group! For work, I stayed at this hotel for 26 nights so hang tight for lots of insights, tips, feedback, and general comments about your possible stay here as Yelp is a community to help provide insight on local businesses. The most common question I have when staying anywhere is if breakfast is included with your stay. Breakfast is included at this location, but pretty limited in comparison to other hotels. I found myself longing for scrambled eggs and fresh cut fruit with cottage cheese. Additionally, they will run out of items and not always replace. I recommend coming early if you want items. Hard-boiled eggs are not always available, so grab when you see as tomorrow is never guaranteed to have. Various photos added to see selection of items available. What about laundry services? They have what is called Spin2Cycle. Bring quarters and plan there are only 2 washers and dryers. $1.50 for washer and $1 for dryer. I recommend coming at 6am as there was a weekend a soccer tournament was there, which made laundry difficult. One weekend, a coworker had a stranger move their laundry to the dryer so I would definitely hover over it. Though it was a nice gesture to move and pay for the dryer, I wouldn't want a stranger touching my stuff! Did you know? The Hilton mobile app you are able to unlock your room from your phone for convenience, and you can even check out through there. This made it easy to move through the hotel to do laundry, grab breakfast, or even coffee which is available in the lobby all day. As for what's most important - the room suite! I do enjoy that there is a refrigerator with a freezer, microwave, small sink, and dishwasher with dishware. This made staying 26 nights more like home as I could bring leftovers, get groceries, etc. Though, you will need to ask the lobby for dishwashing powder as that didn't get restocked during my stay. I uploaded lots of photos of the King Bed suite. Though I prefer a doubletree Hilton, I will say it was nice having the kitchen since this was an extended work trip. I may not stay here or a local one to me as I don't tend to cook or prepare food when staying for leisure. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay so thank you to the staff. Loved that there was a welcome sign for the company as it was a nice touch as over the course of 7 weeks, 30+ individuals from my company will be staying here. Excellent stay. Very friendly staff including those coming into their shift. All greeted each guest they encountered like it was their own business. Or as if they were already on the clock. Employees seemed to take pride in their jobs. Quite impressive. Jose was cleaning the seating areas/fire pit outside and again, he did his job as if he owned the place. Definitely qualities you don't always see. Management should be commended for their hiring capabilities. (My stay was 1/28/25 & 1/29/25, for reference to staff who would have been working. Shout out to all!) Bed was very comfortable. Room was extremely clean. DirectTV so TV choices are meh, but not a big deal. A/C had an "always on" blower feature which was nice...keeps you from hearing the a/c kick on and off through the night, which is very nice. All hotels should have this! Shower is perfect, especially for tall people. Much appreciated. Location is convenient to the highway and downtown Jacksonville. Perfect for business travel. Traveling alone for work, I felt safe at this location. Zero complaints. read more

First time at this property or any Home2Suites. It was very comfortable, clean and very convenient to St Johns Town Center. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The breakfast selection was quite good. The room was larger than expected and I loved that you could curtain off the pull-out couch area for our teen granddaughter. She loved that too. Beds were clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a full-size fridge and dining supplies. We were quite pleased and plan to definitely make this our go-to place to stay on our frequent trips from Miami to South Carolina. I found the room rate to be reasonable as well. read more

Extremely polite staff. Impressive how much they seem to value their jobs and treat the facility as their own. I witnessed the staff cleaning up after breakfast and cleaning the front outdoor seating area. Staff member Jose was cleaning the fire pit and outdoor tables and took great care to do a good job. Impressive! Staff members coming into work in the morning were even cordial before they technically even started work. Again, impressive. Room was very clean and comfortable. Shower height is perfect , especially for tall people. Room A/C has a "fan on" option so you can choose to have the blower noise constantly vs. the a/c kicking on and off throughout the night. I unfortunately got charged multiple times for my 4 night stay. I attempted to have them compensate me by adding the dates but they claimed they were fully booked which was not true. The manager was very rude and threatened to call the cops. I told her I would call them for her because they stole from me. It's now 4 days later and I have seen no money refunded and my bank tells me nothing is in the process. I got $599 stolen so buyer beware. read more

At first, I was apprehensive about staying here when I read some negative reviews but I don't understand why. It was perfect! Excellent location right off the interstate near Saint Johns Pass with so many options of shopping, dining and more! We were welcomed by the manager, and treated very well with all of the staff we encountered, including housekeeping. The suites are spacious and feel just like home With a living room, kitchen and awesome toiletries like Neutrogena. The breakfast has everything and more and I was addicted to the egg bacon and Gouda Panini! Love the strawberry waffles and fresh fruit toppings. The only thing missing was the whip cream but I was told they weren't allowed to have it. Probably some Florida regulation. All in all it was a great stay and I would definitely come back. read more

I booked this hotel thinking that since it was built recently in 2019, it would be newer and as a Hilton Honors member, I've been trying to find a good Hilton in Jax. I was wrong, it felt old and a little too lived in. It was minimalist to a fault, felt a empty. The appliances were worn and the bed was super squeaky (sounded like I was climbing into a metal cage). The sheets were also stained. I know it's more on the budget side of hotels, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay for more than a short time here. The stars are for the staff, they were so kind (especially Miss Kim who I checked in with). I'd give them 5+ stars for how welcoming they were. The location is also good, close to Town Center but out of the actual center depending if you want or don't want that. And I gotta mention the breakfast, nice touch. Overall, average hotel in my book. I'm guessing my own higher expectations led to some disappointment. read more

After staying at this hotel, I experienced an issue where they had charged me for 3 rooms instead of two. I called and spoke with Kim who was disgustingly rude. Told me it was "not her problem" and she "didn't care". I emailed the general manager Trent as well as Zac and never received any communication back. I called the customer service line and although they apologized, the damage was done. I don't want to take away from the fact that the gentleman who checked us in was extremely nice and helpful. But to have a representative of the brand tell you they don't care and it's not their problem, then you reach out and No one responds speaks volumes as to the guest relations here. I normally stay at the Hampton inn on Southside Blvd. For years I've been there and have never had one bad experience. Since it was thanksgiving we figured we would go where there was an ability to cook. Biggest mistake ever!! I'm not going to tell you not to frequent the hotel. The stay was not bad. But, if you need any help AFTER the stay, God help you. My bank was credited back the money today. Still no phone call, no email response, no nothing to acknowledge the mishap or that the employee was out of line and disrespectful. I'm in Florida often, but I'll never be back at this hotel. read more

Finally a bed that won't break my back! We checked in at the front desk & the hotel lobby and halls smell amazing. There is free coffee & tea in the lobby. Everyone who worked here was very nice & helpful. The room was very clean, spacious & comfortable. We had a queen size bed and pullout couch, a microwave, large fridge, plates, cups, utensils. It was right by town center, conveniently located to everything. The breakfast was amazing coffee, Belgium waffles, eggs, bagels, fruit and so much more! We had a great little get away. read more

Decided to stay at the new Home2 by the St. Johns TC. As I've mentioned in previous reviews, Home2 tends to be an amazing value for the money whether it is a short term or extended stay. This property is clean, nice, and new. My overall experience was on about 3* but I bump them up a star because of the amazing and friendly service we received before and during our stay. Talked to the front desk staff to let them know that we were going to be a late check-in, and even called again to let the night crew know that we wouldn't be there until 4 a.m. The check-in was a breeze, but the only issue was that it was the wrong type of room. I had reserved the two queen bed room because we were traveling with our son, but instead got 1 queen (would have thought it would've at least been a king) and the pullout couch. So my son slept in bed with mama, and I did the pullout. Pullout experience: So this is one of the few times that I get to review this seldom-used feature in most hotels. The mattress in this pullout is amazing. Soft, yet supportive...but at the end of the day, it is the same pull out foundation. And while the sheets on the bed were clean, the pillows/spread in the bag looked and smelled dingy, so didn't use them at all. I don't know if they were from another property, or just been bagged so long... but yeah, that was a hit. Other than that, the rooms are nice and large. The power blinds was a good touch, but that might just be because for whatever reason, we got an accessible room. Even such, this is the first time I've ever seen that. Check out is at 11 and breakfast ends at 10. On the service alone and the value of the property, I would stay here again. read more

Check in was ok desk clerk was nice polite, got in room room was clean and not run down. Walking to st John's town center and back was locked out of room for electronics lock on door after 30-45 minute deal clerk got way into room for the next 3 hours this constant knocking noise from lock got worse as it was late and was told I had to change room in middle of night to a smaller bed room this hotel experience is crap and not even over sorry Hilton do better we pay good money not to stay in crap hotels read more

So I stayed here on a two night stay for my birthday weekend. Let's just say that despite the three stars I've given the hotel, this will be my go to hotel when I come to Jacksonville. First off, the hotel is in a convenient location(Deerwood Park I believe). It's also not too far from the St. John town center shopping area. There are gas stations right by the hotel, just in case you're from out of town and need gas before hopping back on the road. The room was very nice, roomy, bathroom was nice(see pictures), bed was comfortable. I was pleased! There's a fridge, sink, microwave in the room. It would've been a four star if they would've added a stove! Lol! Where the three stars come from is it being a pet friendly hotel, so of course when I walked into the hotel I instantly smelled dog! Not sure if they are used to the smell, but it is not pleasant when you first walk in. This was my first time staying at a pet friendly hotel that actually smelled like the pets when I walk in. It's noticeable, but it isn't unbearable! Another reason I gave the three stars is because of the breakfast selection, or lack thereof! When I was told there was breakfast each morning, I expected something a bit better than what they were offering. They had the typical yogurt, a few fruits, bagels, pastries, toast. But for hot foods, you have a microwave oven thing and some sandwiches you had to heat up. I was asked by one of the lovely ladies if I wanted biscuits and gravy, I instantly perked up and replied yes. I was given a roll looking thing inside a plastic bag that you had to open(like a hot pocket). It was "biscuits n gravy" that you had to heat up. The "sausage gravy" was inside. Let's just say I went out for breakfast. Other than that, this hotel was a pleasure to stay in. The front desk attendants were very nice, and all my questions were answered before I could ask. We always look for this particular brand of hotel as we like the amenities and the properties are well located and maintained. Stayed here two nights. The hotel is hospital clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. COVID measures being followed closely and the complimentary breakfast is a nice touch. Pool and gym facilities as will as a small business center. Ideal for business travelers or vacationers equally. Rooms are generous in size and in accommodations such as stocked kitchen. While I was impressed the hotel for providing free masks upon entry and Lysol wipes in the hotel room, my room was not clean. Hair was left behind in the shower and on the bathroom floor. There was also broken toilet paper holder, mold in the shower, the shower faucet head was dripping as the water would not fully shut off, and unfilled bathroom soap/body wash. In addition, there was trash left outside another hotel rooms door for several days and never picked up. Cleanliness is the most important factor while staying at a hotel, especially during the pandemic, and I will sadly disappointed after entering my room. read more

This place allows dogs in all rooms very disappointed because that of dogs they have fleas all over the place I will never ever stay here again. When checked in for 2 rooms for e of the rooms was never cleaned up. Very disappointed I thought if it's by Hilton that it would be some what ok but this is disastrous. read more

I stayed here for a while. They don't use chemicals all the time to clean only water if they do clean your room. They don't clean your room if you have pets at this pet friendly hotel. Unless you get lucky with the one who will. The pool is usually dirty so you may have to clean it yourself by getting the bugs, hair, trash out of the pool before you decide if you want to get in. The fire pit is nice at night however there's constantly people smoking weed out back, drinking and being belligerently drunk and having arguments. The breakfast was nice and so was the gym. They do have 2 washers and 2 dryers but one of the washers is constantly broken. If you hear screaming in the mornings it's the manager, Trent yelling at the employees to the point that you'll also hear the staff crying. The staff is constantly smoking cigarettes in the back throughout the morning and afternoons. Also if you get sexually assaulted in their pool they will kick you out for standing up for yourself yet keep the one who sexually assaulted you there at the hotel because they felt uncomfortable with how we reacted. One of the "managers", Jason that works at the front desk makes women feel uncomfortable as he said "women have ruined all his friends lives once they get married" and his ex drained his bank account so he has to work two jobs now. Allows pets for a fee of $75 per stay with an additional $30 daily rate. A day later the daily rate increased to $50. So your pet for one night costs $125! Then add your rate to stay! Pets should get their own room at that rate! I would look elsewhere! read more

Hotel smelled like dogs in the hallway. Bathroom had hairs in it. To compensate the attendant gave us a $5 discount. They only clean rooms on Monday Wednesday and Friday. Never staying there again. read more
