Update: A couple months after writing my original review, I was contacted by a hotel manager/owner. He wrote me a very thoughtful and professional message via Yelp and asked if I would be willing to speak with him over the phone to discuss my experience. We did just that, and he was still just as kind and courteous over the phone as he was in his message. He apologized for my negative experience and expressed that the lack of cleanliness during my stay was definitely not their standard or norm. He did not ask me to update or revise my review but because he went out of his way to contact me and make things right, I felt it should be shared because I really do appreciate the extra effort. His acknowledgement and genuine apology really set a different tone for me when viewing this hotel and my previous experience definitely deserves an extra star. read more

Last stay in the area was at the Hilton Garden on the Montebello Golf course . Thought that since this hotel was newer and was under construction when we last visited it would be much nicer. The room was larger and had a couch and a decent kitchen area with a full sized refrigerator. The couch was not in good shape. It was worn from use and the seat pillows were torn on all sides. The room was quiet on the 5th floor. It appeared to be clean and acceptable except for the aforementioned couch. The breakfast the first day was jammed. One table for 8 was taken by about 10 children, the oldest around 6. The parents from what appeared to be from several families ate at their own table, ignoring the children who were not staying seated and running aroun the room. The waffle line was too long so we looked for other offerings. This was limited to terrible egg and ham muffins. One bite was enough. All the pastries were gone, so we found a couple of bagels that were left. The next morning we tried the waffle station. The woman who ran the waffle machine did not give them enough time to be firm. She had to fold them over to put them on our plates. They were limp. My wife went down to the desk the next day to ask for room coffee since there isn't daily room service and no repentishment of coffee or towels. The desk clerk said they ran out of coffee, but could supply tea. Pass! There are signs that masks are required, but this is ignored. I think that next time we will go back to the Hilton Garden Inn. read more

We had a wonderful stay at this location thanks to David M. He was efficient, courteous, and professional during our check in, and provided impeccable service throughout our time there. The hotel itself was nice also. The construction at the golf course didn't bother us, and we took advantage of the breakfast, indoor pool and hot tub. If there is one downside to this hotel, the sound proving is not the best as you can hear doors auto-closing on your floor. It didn't bother me when I was sleeping but you can hear them when you are awake. read more

Fantastico!!! I can't say enough good things about this hotel & it's staff... The staff at the front desk were well trained and knowledgeable. The gentleman that checked us in was very understanding to my situation (remodeling the bathrooms at home and had to live here for 2 weeks with my wife and 5 kids). Raul, Genius, Juliet and others were always so helpful with all our needs- and believe me- we had more than a few. The complimentary breakfast was a big hit every morning and Elvie, Alex O. and others were always looking for ways to help us and the kids. My wife and kids really enjoyed the indoor pool and we frequently took advantage of the barbecues at the outdoor patio. We even made some new friends. This truly was our "Home 2" for two weeks... especially with the large spacious rooms and kitchen. Come on! I don't know why there are so many fake good reviews for this hotel. We have paid over $200 a room per day and getting like $50 a motel room experience... If I can list 100 things I will. #1 the hotel is not at a super good location and the facing side of the hotel is under a huge constructions which means the view photos are lying; #2 the lights within the room is shutting off every 15-30 mins if you are working at the room you are basically doom and there's no way turn this function off- this is so stupid and super unuser-friendly; #3 the bathroom just smells bad and the door within the bathroom cannot be fully closed; #4 the bedsheet and cover is sooooo damn uncomfortable and cheap and it moves around soo easily; #5 the dishwasher does not support a quick wash and it is super loud; #6 the lobby is so compact with so many tables and chairs for what???; #7 The rooms and the doors are not soundproof, you can hear very loud door close noises and everything from the hallway. Super terrible. I would never recommend this hotel and will never come back to this collection of Home2 Suites by Hilton. It is totally a 1 out of 5, 1 for they still provide us a place to sleep. Just a quick "way to go" for the front desk. My company only has corporate meetings at Hilton and Hilton family facilities, so I've been to most Hilton's in the Los Angeles and Orange County Area. Not enough parking for handycap and security kicks you out when only one of 15 electrical parking being used

This is a newer hotel in a great location. There is an outdoor parking lot as well as underground parking, but neither are secured. Customer service was great. Due to COVID, breakfast is served by staff and can be a little slow - so allow plenty of time, especially on the weekends. The rooms were very clean, except for the desk chair that had some very dark and deep stains that are beyond anything housekeeping should handle. The walls are unfortunately paper thin. I could hear everything in the rooms on all sides and in the hallways. Last, the fire alarm went off at 1:30 am and continued for 10 minutes. After going downstairs, there was no organization or message from hotel staff about the situation and whether it was a false alarm or not. A gentleman walking out said it was due to folks smoking in the building. I would potentially stay here again, but bring my earplugs. read more

Nice, brand new hotel with huge rooms. If you are looking for a place that's close to either airport, this wouldn't be it. I had to attend an event near LAX and it took over an hour to get there when leaving at 4 pm. The staff was very friendly and the hotel itself was spotless and spacious. I missed breakfast so I can't comment on that. Would stay here again if I didn't need to be near the airport right away. I loved having the kitchenette with all of the cutlery and plates. I was able to buy food and refrigerate it as well as reheat it. I love the convenience of that and if I would have stayed multiple nights this would have been even better. read more

My first interaction with the property was over the phone, Raul, who answered my call was short and not very helpful. It was as though I was "bugging him" with my question about a possible upgrade. (He also happened to answer my call when we checked out and again he was short and not very friendly.) Once we arrived to the hotel, we were pleased to see how beautiful the facilities were. After having checked in, we decided to take our kids swimming only to find out the pool was closed for the day. (They could have told us this upon check in) This was really inconvenient as we were there to celebrate my son's birthday. Nonetheless, our room was clean and spacious, the breakfast area was nice as well, it had a few selections, we enjoyed it. Had such a lovely weekend here at this location. I had arrived early and Sydney informed me that no rooms were available at that hour. She invited us to relax by the pool and would try to accommodate our request. She was very kind and made sure we would be satisfied customers. Sydney went above and beyond and needs to be recognized for her efforts and her pleasant personality. These situations can become awkward and she turned the situation all around for us. I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel. My husband and I had flown into Burbank on an early flight, so all we wanted to do is rest. Check is usually not available until 3pm. I ended up calling ahead to see if they had any early check in options, and luckily they had a room available for us to check in the 11am. The hotel is located right near a country club golf course where they hold weddings and such. Upon arrival, I thought their parking lot was pretty small, but we actually had not issues with finding parking. The check in process was very easy, and we went up to our room. We reserved the King bedroom and WOW! I was so happy with everything. A little kitchenette with a fridge, real dishes, sink, microwave, dishwasher. An full sized couch, writing desk,l large tv. Everything about the room was so perfect and clean. I was really impressed with how comfortable their beds were. The sheets were actually soft, and didn't feel like paper. They had a thin duvet, that was surprisingly warm. They have a great window treatment system where you can diffuse the sun into the room, or close another shade for a dark room. I honestly have no complaints about this place, and would gladly stay hr again. The only bummer was that their coffee machine downstairs was broken, but they had an mini Keurig available in the room. read more

Opened September 2018 and brand new construction not a remodel. Hotel is located within a country club so there is a golf course around it. Rooms are spacious. I stayed in a "premium studio" which is a single room but lots of space. Free parking including an underground garage, and they are building electric car charging spots. A short walk to the entrance of the country club you will find a coffee shop Ground Up Coffee with homemade baked goods and tasty coffee. Note it closes at 2pm. Would definitely return. read more

I am super picky when it comes to where I'm going to be staying at and luckily we came across this place! It's suppperr nice and modern -- which I love! I really like the amenities! Small kitchen and a sitting area with a tv and bed. They even have complimentary breakfast from 6-10am and the gym is open 24/7 but the pool closes at 11. Overall, it's in a nice area with a golf course across the street and plenty of parking! I will definitely come back here for my next stay! read more

One star for cleanliness, room amenities and free parking. I might have just picked the worst night ever to stay with my family. The main reason we decided to stay at a hotel was because it was nearly 100 degrees out and my kids wanted to spend the day swimming. It was all bad from the moment we stepped into the pool area. There were a group of women there with at least 10 kids that belonged to them. They were playing their music loudly and had just about over taken the patio area. Their kids were wild, screaming and jumping into the pool with no regard or consideration for anyone else and of course their mothers were to busy conversing with one another to pay attention to their own kids. It only got worse. The women continued to let others in through the gate that leads from the parking lot directly to the pool. Eventually they left the door propped open to allow more guests to enter. Their party grew to at least 30 people and they took over the entire area as if it were their back yard. My kids were so disappointed that we retreated to our room early. The pool is only supposed to be for hotel guests but no one enforced it. That wasn't all, later that night I come to find out that those same people from the pool were in the rooms across the hall from me and next door. They came up to their rooms at about 1am. This was the worse night I've ever spent at a hotel. Theses guests made so much noise and kept on waking me from my sleep until at least 3am. I've spent nights a hotels in Las Vegas and several nights at Great Wolf Lodge and even then where you'd expect to hear lots of noise at night I slept well and uninterrupted. We didn't even bother going back to the pool. We checked out the next morning and checked into another Hotel in Westwood just to make up for our horrible experience. This might have just been my bad luck but the guests that I encountered here were trash. My husband even encountered another guest in the elevator that complained about that large party. He asked my husband if he was with the large group, my husband told him that he wasn't with them and then apologized on behalf of all Latinos who know how to behave accordingly. I hope that their usual clientele is not as ghetto as the people we encountered. I feel so ripped off, we spent $200 to play in the pool for no more than an hour. read more

This was our first stay at a Home2 and we loved it! Clean and fresh, the decor is 100% my modern taste (that is if I could afford to completely renovate my house). Bed linen was ultra soft. Towels were plush and beautifully detailed. (If I could steal them to update my house, I would.) Love the full kitchen appliances. You can keep a quart of ice-cream in the full size freezer and it would actually freeze! It even has a full size dishwasher! Great variety of hot and cold breakfast. Free charge ports for your plug-in vehicles. Definitely going to make this my new preferred brand. read more

Great staff, clean rooms. This would be a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the horrible construction quality. The walls/doors/windows are paper thin and you can literally hear the TV from across the hall and the kids on the floor below. I think they value engineered out sound insulation. read more

This hotel is SUPER chill. No snobby, stuck up, lames that complain about everything. It's not a motel 6, but it ain't a 5 star either. It's just right. (Why do I sound like Goldi Locks?) My family and I came here to take advantage of the pool and to get out of the house during this Pandemic. We swam for hours. We brought our speaker and blasted our music without any complaints. My kids had a blast. They even have a big grill outside in the patio area for barbecuing. During the week the pool area closed at 11pm, not sure about the weekends but I will definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to get away and have a good time. read more

This is a brand new hotel just opened and we get to be one of the 1st ones to stay in their brand new contemporary rooms. The rooms are very specious modern, small kitchen with sink good size Refregirator Dishwasher and more. Staff are very friendly, Jason and Genesis at the front desk were great, Alex at the breakfast lounge is very friendly and hospitality. Definitely well stay here again. The price wasn't bad either. I am a frequent guest at this hotel. It is first class. Sits on a beautiful property that features an 18 hole golf course. The rooms are great, comfortable and clean. The two best features of this hotel are the staff and the breakfast. They serve a great assortment of breakfast items. The staff that works breakfast is amazing. Home2 Suites in Montebello was excellent. We were there for one week and our stay was perfect. The hotel is clean and the staff is helpful. Genesis at the front desk helped us when we were trying to figure out our sightseeing for the week. She gave excellent suggestions for a certain theme park that is nearby. Lupe was also very helpful in the mornings during breakfast. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. There was plenty of food for breakfast in the mornings and delicious hot coffee. Our room was exceptionally clean and our kids loved the pool and hot tub. The surrounding street is quiet and is set on a golf course. Would easily stay there again when in the area! read more

My complaints yesterday already resulted in the manager contacting me. Seems the outsource people in the Philippines never cancelled my reservations. I've been staying here the last six weeks and I have many more to go as I am working out of town. I've been in several different types of rooms. All are very roomy. I have found every room to be clean except one time we found a bunch of hair in one of the drawers and dirt along the inside of the slider door in the bathroom. I still give them 5 stars because the majority of the rooms have been clean. The rooms are quiet. Big TV I get the king bed and its comfortable. Very roomy showers. There are dishes in the dishwasher that are precleaned. I dont like the brown towel they leave in the kitchen it looks dirty. But The fridge is a good sizeThe employees are pretty accommodating. Can't believe the reviews are so good, they must be fake because this place is horrible! Check in was an hour late, because room service "was busy." Literally what the manager said to us. After an hour he offers us another room. I assume it will be if equal or more value, but instead they put us in a smaller room. Didn't even mention anything or offer to refund the difference. When we got to the room it smelled like onions/garlic, so gross. The bar/lounge is joke. No menus and an inexperienced and untrained girl who can barely open a beer and microwave that disgusting mush they call flatbread. That is literally all they serve to eat. Last, the pool and jacuzzi are also disgustingly dirty. Smells like it was never cleaned, they just kept adding chlorine. The smell will stick to your skin and swimsuit until you scrub that nasty stuff off. We noticed other people having trouble checking in/out so this was not a one time thing. The people running this hotel have no idea what they're are doing. So many other local hotels that are much better, don't waste your money! read more

I can easily say that this hotel provides astounding service in every way, shape and form to provide and excellent experience for their guests. Starting the experience with our checkin, Cindy was gracious enough to provide answers and helpful suggestions for our temporary stay as our home was being painted. Things including complimentary bbq grill and indoor pool provided excellent stress relief and needed family time. Another amazing feature was that they are pet friendly, eliminating the need to find a dog sitter for our precious Toby. read more

The morning breakfast crew was really amazing. Guest can become ANIMALS at a breakfast buffet. Coworker was getting married at Quiet Cannon so I figured I'd just stay next door and give a place for ppl to sober up in case they were trying to drive drunk. The hotel itself is really nice, completely smoke free rooms and decent views of the golf course. It's about 1/2 a mile from the wedding venue and they have go kart shuttle service that they take you up with. I did have to wait about 10 minutes after the front desk called them twice. The room was immaculate with a sink and dishware, mini fridge/freezer, Keurig etc. Everything was great except for the shuttle wait time =( read more

I arrived in town at 6 am on a business trip. My check in was at 3 pm. I was always able to check into other hotels earlier. I called a week in advance and was told that I might be able to get in early. This hotel didn't let me in until 2:30 pm. The bed was not comfortable for me. I stayed In Hilton many times and I was surprised that this hotel is by Hilton. But the worst is the bedding. It's all microfiber!!!!No cotton. I get it, it's cheap but it's also not breathing and as a result you sweat. I use only cotton in my house. I can't believe that Hilton wouldn't spend $ on cotton bedding. The mattress is too soft and your back would not rest. Another thing that's annoying is that there is always a water running through the pipes inside the walls and it's VERY LOUD. I couldn't sleep because of it too. It feels like someone is taking shower in your room all the time. Idk why? This is a brand new building. It's clean but it's also new. Most of the employees are very nice and polite but I also meta few that were on the "dry"side. Breakfast is ok and employees there are super nice and welcoming No more Home2 for me read more
