The hotel was conveniently located to Citadel within walking distance. The hotel itself has a huge parking lot, but guest parking pass for overnight parking is required. The court yard is clean and chill. The amenities such as the spa and tool were all present and in working conditions. The room was clean. Beds were comfy. No issue at all. Towels were a bit too dry and harsh on the skin. Not the best but it was good for what you are paying for. The front desk and store are located in the front lobby. Came here for a retirement party and The Maple room was very nice and held so many people. The party was very nice and I was impressed on how the room was spacious and could have many decorations. It was very clean inside and easy to find! However the food was not quite exceptional. The breaded chicken with mashed potatoes was just 3/5. It could have had more flavor for sure! The salad was just ok as well. The servers wasn't that great either. A lil confused on Whan you asked them things but Owell. Stayed at the doubletree in commerce during a recent trip up for a USC football game. Location was perfect for being close enough to uber to the coliseum. Located right on the grounds of of a nice outlet mall, super easy to find and plenty of parking (for a fee). Check-in was a breeze and rooms were clean. A bit outdated but perfect for a quick overnight. PROS: -I was shocked by the quality of gym on site. Great sized fitness center. Equipped with a lockerroom, sauna and showers. -Restauraunt on site w/ HH specials -Quick access to outlet mall -Great water pressure CONS -$18 overnight parking. Free ramp located just beyond the parking lot. -Expensive buffet. $27 for a breakfast seems a bit excessive. Would stay again if able to find a good deal. Review regarding Room 303- king bed, 2 room suite. This is honestly one of the most disappointing visits/stays at DoubleTree as a whole!! And that says about lot because DT is typically my go-to whenever we travel. Our family of 3 [2 adults, 1 toddler] stayed here for 4 days and opted for a 2 room suite, allowing for more space to roam for our antsy kid. The room itself was good in size, non-smoking, and I liked how the shampoo/conditioner is provided via large bottles mounted in the bathtub/shower- none of those dinky little bottles that do absolutely nothing for you. So why the 2 stars?? The room was filthy and when I say "room", I'm talking about the entire carpeting. My toddler would take a few steps and her foot would easily become gray... let her walk around long enough and it would turn black. I eventually purchased her some slippers from the neighboring outlet and carried her around the room for quick trips to the restroom. Ontop of that, one of the two elevators were out of order. Which was the same case when we had visited months and months before. Upkeeping and maintenance here at the hotel doesn't seem to be a priority. Can't say I'm too much of a fan. Shout out to the hotel for providing/delivering daily snacks to the room as a "happy anniversary" treat, too bad a good amount of the snacks were expired and ended up in the trash.... read more

This is my go to when I'm going to an event in DTLA. It's close, and convenient. Not sure what all of the people are talking about when they are claiming their rooms were dirty, because every time I stay here, my rooms are clean, and so is the property itself. I would NEVER stay at a dirty hotel. The staff is always nice, polite, and accommodating as well. Also, my room did have a fridge, and it always does when I stay here. The only thing I do not like is the $18 parking charge, when their parking used to be free, and at one time they had started charging only $10. I think it's ridiculous to charge customers a parking fee when they are already staying there. At any rate, this isn't a luxury hotel by any means, but it's clean, comfortable, and embodies the Hilton brand. read more

Doubletree Commerce is mid af. Near the fairly dated citadel mall, at least the room was clean, free parking, and you get a free cookie on check-in. But the suite was missing key amenities like fridges and microwaves which is surprising given the size of the rooms and I did have to mark it down for that. I'm used to using points for Hiltons a lot and it came in handy booking for a sold out event in LA. The location was only 17 min from Ktown (no traffic), 20 min from banc of California (also assuming no traffic), and it was cheaper than the downtown option (with free parking). I do have to say this place looks freaking old and the elevators are slow as hell. Breakfast spot was nothing special, and this is definitely a one of Hilton's less worthy locations tbh. Bed bugs!? I'm a Hilton member and i came in and checked the room. Not the best Hilton but it seemed clean enough. Was exhausted so I took a shower went down to my car to pick up water. Came back was about to get into bed and noticed two black specs on a pillow that weren't there earlier. Took a picture of it just so I could see closer and sure enough it had to be two little bugs. So I freak out. I'm exhausted I did not want to drive so I check online and it says to check the mattress. I'll check the mattress and find more. One nationality working every thing . It would actually have been just as inexpensive to go to another country that is close. I am so sure the service would have been better. This is the first doubletree hotel that has charged me $150 deposit at check in! Also it has No laundry room and No microwave in the rooms as well! Rooms are tiny compared to other double trees have been to! Also No complimentary cookies offered at check in! Finally, I felt like I was being rushed out of the room because somebody was knocking my room door at 9am and then running and hiding when I open the door! Not happy. My family checked in and was told they could help themselves to treats on their room, no charge. I checked in and asked if thunder dance applied to me and I was told I booked the room as a Hilton honors guest and they booked directly. My Hilton app shows I booked directly. Seems like the snacks or any extra benefits should be extended to a Hilton Honors member vs. someone who books directly. As I stated, I'm a Hilton Honors member AND I booked directly. Right off the 5 freeway near the Citadel outlet mall, this hit has ample parking. The hotel lobby is nice and clean and hosts are courteous. Went to this hotel for a Wound Care conference, but no overnight stay so this is based in the conference rooms and servers. All the servers had a smile and were very efficient. The conference room was well ventilated, stable temperature and spacious. The lunch served had a variety of foods....salads, pasta, chicken and delicious desserts. Had a wonderful time here. Work put us at this hotel for training down the road. We ate twice at the restaurant and had so much fun enjoying wine in the courtyard. The gym was absolutely insane and no one was there so I had it to myself. The staff was very professional and we had a great time conversing with them and were very well taken care of. Would recommend. Definately the nicest place in the neighborhood. Right near the LA meat packing district. Would stay again and give a 10/10. Love the hospitality! Stayed recently for a quick trip I took to LA and while booking I thought I'd never stayed here before, but as soon as I pulled up I remember I had. I remember the last time I stayed I left thinking the hotel was cool, but I wouldn't stay again because I just like a tad bit more "uppity" ( I guess) in a hotel; however post the COVID shut down a lot of places took advantage of the slow time and renovated. So I checked in curious if changes had been made. I love that all the rooms have a sanitation sticker on the door AND remote, so it felt good walking in and switching on the TV and not having to think about whether it was cleaned due to COVID. Some of the furniture was updated, but it still reeked an older hotel. I promise I'm going to start looking at when hotels were built or last renovated when booking. My biggest issue were the stains in the carpet and that oh so favorite tub/shower combo in the bathroom.... that's yellowish/beige! The carpet looked like a red wine and other stuff was spilled and it immediately made me regret leaving my socks at home (ewww), and the bathroom needs gutted. Do away with shower/tub combos, old sinks, outdated decor, etc and change out those baseboards because some areas were black. The air conditioner was extra loud and annoying when attempting to sleep. I was on the 4th floor and the halls reeked of smoke, crazy enough my room didn't though. Just not appeasing to one traveling for business. The hotel is within an outlet mall and the staff was nice, but until they upgrade , I won't be back. read more

Came here for a week vaca . We were placed right next to the pool . From 6am to 10pm there's kids screaming like there about to die the whole time . I called front desk and asked if they could tell them to lower the music & ask the kids to quit down alittle . She told me "quiet time" is at 10 . I said we're here on vacation as well , so you can't even tell them to quite down . Her response was "yes exactly , quiet time is after 10" absolutely ridiculous. I asked to change rooms & they said there fully booked . Absolute worst place to book if your anywhere near the pool . So my recommendation ask to be far far away from the pool . Never AGAIN. Thanks for the accommodation doubletree. Update: spoke to front desk again & the supervisor on duty was so rude with her tone & she didnt seem to give a crap about my complaint . Finally at 8 pm after hearing the kids scream all day , she offers a room change "since it's so unbearable " was her words . Probably the worse and most dangerous hotel I've ever stay at. Booked a staycation for a toddler bday just for the night to swim and to shop. This hotel does not care for the safety of their visitors because at about 1am, the electrical panel in the 7th floor caused a fire, and none of their fire alarm system or sprinkle system turned on to alert sleeping guest. Only reason why I woke up was because of screaming and smell of burning plastic in the 5th floor. Staff did not care to try to evacuate any resident. When we did make it down the stairs with a toddler, I repeatedly told the fire department coming up and staff no alarm is going off. I even tried pulling the fire alarm in the hallway but none of it initiated sounds or sprinkle. We witnessed families still coming down the building 20-30 minutes once we evacuated. Staff was slow to provide relief and could not ensure us what happened, only hearing other people's stories of the panel fire. Resident was the one who called 911 , regardless of reporting to staff. Fire department worked till around 3am to put out the fire, but we could not sleep there due to smoke and having a child with asthma. We returned the next morning early at 8am to retrieve our belongings and the staff was not accommodating/apologetic of the events hours before. Once we retrieve our belongings, I spoke to front desk, and mentioned we did not sleep the night there due to the fire and I would like a refund. THE WORSE PART IS I WAS NOT OFFERED A REFUND DUE to 3rd party booking with Expedia. They did not initiate and noted of the fire and the unsafe environment to Expedia so I am having a hard time getting a refund. The attitude of management and staff is where this place needs 101 training. They are obviously at fault, yet unable to accommodate or t least refund. My wife and I have stayed here in the past. The Citadel shopping outlets are conveniently next door so we decided to spend the night at the Doubletree after a long afternoon of holiday shopping since we knew that we were going to be too tired to drive back to San Diego. This place has a nice comfortable feeling to it from the moment you walk in. There is a nice bar close to the front door as well as a small restaurant. Outside, there is a nice patio with chairs that you can sit on and play a full size game of Jenga with your friends. As a convenience feature, you can utilize your mobile phone as your room key which came in handy. And, if you happen to forget something like a toothbrush or toothpaste, you can head to the front desk and they will give you those items at no charge. In the event that you get a case of the munchies in the middle of the night, there is a small snack bar where you can get snacks as well as drinks. The hotel was packed and having a broken elevator made for some long wait times. And, why would you close a restaurant early - especially when the hotel is packed? Thank goodness that there are places to eat at the Citadel next door. I look forward to staying there again and hopefully, the elevator will be fixed by then! read more

Very outdated Facility not with the price of 180.00 a night. The lights in the room didn't work but the lamps did so that helped. They don't say they will hold 150.00 per day deposit till your there. It's not clean in comparison to other doubletree hotels we have stayed in. And they Had no Parking available it was full so just because your a guest it doesn't guarantee parking. Not sure I will stay here again. Oh and when they say house keeping is not coming in daily, they mean they don't come in during your whole stay. Not even to pull the garbage out. read more

We stayed here for a quick weekend getaway, the area leading into the hotel, just off I-5 might come across as a little sketchy, but push through. This Doubletree is located within the Citadel Outlets which was beautiful! We checked in later so some of the entrances to the outlets were closed, we found our way in and got to the front desk. We were checked in promptly, given our cookies, and tried to head off to the room. Unfortunately, we weren't give, or didn't hear that we had to either walk around the courtyard inside, or had to cut through the courtyard to get to the elevators, but we figured it out. The room (207) was clean, no problems at all to report, the pillows and fan we requested were all in the room, so we appreciate them being able to accommodate that. The bed was a little on the stiffer side, but not the worst we've had. I was disappointed to see they still haven't figured out how to accommodate room service in these covid times, but there was a restaurant with grab and go bags or sit down meals. One word to the wise, if you're returning late, the Outlet's security team may stop you on the way in the lot and ask for a room key, I wish we were told that at check-in just so we knew to be ready. As an HHonors Diamond Member, I would have to say that this property falls way short of meetings Hilton standards. I was never recognized or thanked for being a loyal Diamond member. When I asked about if an upgrade to my room was available I received a blank stare. The room I have is dated, but clean. Be aware that they are still offering the premium room at booking online, but are not offering the snacks and drinks in the room. I was offered to reduce the rate, but since I am traveling on business this is of minimal value to me. A better alternative would be to have offered picking up snack items from the pantry. Disappointing. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating. Since therenis no fridg or microwave in my room, I asked for a fridge which was brought to my room. Only 1 of the 2 elevators are functional. As a result the wait time can be many minutes. More annoyance... As a result, I cannot recommend staying at this property. I strongly suggest investigating another Hilton property. read more

I'm a diamond member and this location was not the typical Doubletree that I'm use to. The cleanliness of the hotel is good, however the rooms are small and gives me motel vibes and they are outdated. There's no microwave or fridge in the rooms unless you upgrade and this location gives you cold cookies and I didn't even have a microwave to warm it. Lol. The hospitality isn't there, they have stipulations for everything. I asked for a plate to warm my food in the community microwave and they told me they couldn't give me one. I asked for late check out, they could only offer me an hr. I think the only good interaction I had with staff at this locations were with the housekeepers and I'm assuming the manager who closed our stay out. read more

Breakfast needs to get better. Sausages were like plastic, couldn't even cut them with the knife. Potatoes all soggy and the orange juice not fresh. Not even McDonald's quality level Cereal needs also chocopuffs something for kids. Uriel, our server, saved the breakfast by suggesting to get omelettes.
