We've had a terrible time with Homebridge doing the refi on our home. It's been over six month even though Homebridge said it would take "about 60" days. They literally keep coming to us every month or so claiming they need more documents or updated docs because it's been more than 60 days.... this is total BS. We have substantial income and assets, including lots of equity in the home. Even with the changes because of COVID it's not hard to do a refi for us! Whatever you do, don't use Homebridge. After 6 months of waiting, including almost 2 months of Homebridge saying "it'll be done this week or next for sure" we are going to a new lender and refused to deal with Homebridge even if all we need to do know (according to Homebridge) is sign. read more

On two seperate occasions they sent my money to the wrong person. I have been done with the job for weeks and still nobody can tell me where my money is. I've had home loans from a credit union and several large banks in the past and the experience with Homebridge was over the top phenomenal. I Have to update my review. I previously used Homebridge Financial to buy and refi my house. The only reason I was repeatedly using HomeBridge financial was because of a previous positive experience that I​ had. This company has become a ​bunch​ of incompetent​ office workers. Because of my previous experience, I came back to try to refinance my house with Homebridge again. Brian, who​ never​ returns his calls, assigned​ me to​ a loan officer named Ismail. Ismail started me on the process of getting my refi loan started and then he disappeared​. Two weeks after I called Ismail and left three messages, he​ finally​ decided​ to call me back. Ismail​ called back explaining​ that he was out of town with a ​condescending​ tone of voice. This conversation was nothing like the first conversation we had. Ismail was so rude to me compared from our first conversation that he had done a 180 and went from being polite to absolutely​ rude, condescending​ and incredibly unhelpful. It almost felt as though I had been talking to a different person. As soon as I heard his tone of voice, I canceled​ my refinance process. Please stay away​ from him. Don't​ get trapped by his fake personality. This company doesn't​​ really care about their customers. First​ of all,​ there should be a system​ that when a​ loan​ officer is out​ of town: 1) They temporarily​ ​designate​ a reliable person​ that can cover​ a loan officer and 2) Inform their clients in advance​ that​ they will not be available​​ from that time so the clients will not have an impression​ of being​ ignored. I'm a real estate agent. The buyer I was helping was using a loan broker they found. That loan broker did not foresee several challenges that kept delaying the loan's approval. On day 40 of the escrow, the listing agent recommended John Wade and Ali Straky at Prospect Mtg. Within 10 days John and Ali completed the file and had loan docs in escrow. Super sad that I have to write this review. We used Homebridge when we bought our house two years ago in April 2020. Steve Minkow was wonderful and helped us throughout the entire process. It went smooth and in a timely manner. We decided to try to refinance in September and of course decided Homebridge was the best choice. We officially started our paperwork in October, after speaking with Steve multiple times and feeling it was a good move. We even went so far as to paying for a rush fee to get our home appraised before we went out of town so they had everything they need paperwork wise. Flash forward to January and we were still asked for paperwork. So we quickly got them whatever they needed within the hour of them asking. Not to mention my principal was asked multiple times to submit job verification for me and was not happy either. (Even used the word incompetent a few times. I was upset because we loved Steve and I would never speak bad on him.) So now its February and we are asked to sign disclosure forms which stated loan should close 2/26 and fund 3/3 (my birthday so I remembered clearly). Here comes first week in march and they ask us permission to run our credit scores again because the previous are expired. So they run the scores, my score had dropped a few points and bam were out on a refinance rate and now don't qualify. So 6 months after we start the paperwork, we are basically told we are screwed, its our fault and nothing can be done. Also they weren't even professional enough to say this. I had to reach out asking what was happening, when I received a response saying "nothing can be done at this time." SOOOOOOO mad that we wasted money with an appraisal that means nothing now, countless time sending paperwork and following up whenever they needed us to and missed out on a lower rate, debt being paid off with equity and a lower house payment. They dropped the ball big time and I will never recommend them. Sad to say that too, but I guess we weren't a priority. read more
