The store feels like stepping right into Santa's workshop, filled with sparkling ornaments, cozy throws, beautiful wreaths, and unique gift ideas for everyone on our list. The aisles are so well organized and the staff were friendly and patient even with the long lines. I especially love how HomeGoods always manages to have new items every week -- I never know what treasures I'll find! This year we picked up colorful Christmas colorful decorations for a candy cane theme. If you love decorating or just want to soak in the Christmas spirit, definitely stop by your local HomeGoods. I've been shopping at this HomeGoods for a long time and have made many purchases here, but my last experience left a very unpleasant impression. One of the items I was buying was a set of kitchen napkins. There were only 4 napkins, even though these sets normally come with 8. There was no price tag on them, so I politely asked the cashier, Linda, if she could compare them to similar items sold in the store. Linda told me the price would be $15. I asked why, since most similar napkin sets there are usually priced around $12-15 for a full set. She replied that this brand costs twice as much. I then asked what brand it was, and she could not answer me. Instead, she simply said, "Are you taking them or not?" After that, a manager came over and adjusted the price to $7.50. I still bought them, although I was disappointed they were incomplete and only had 4 napkins instead of 8. When I got home, I realized these were clearly returned items. The tags and brand labels had been cut off, which means they had likely already been used, washed, and returned by someone else. So Linda completely misled me about there being some "expensive brand," when in reality there was no visible brand at all. The entire interaction left a very bad feeling. Every time I use the things I bought that day, I will remember this unpleasant shopping experience. I honestly do not think I will return to this HomeGoods again because I do not want to deal with this kind of treatment or dishonesty from an employee. I understand mistakes happen, but being dismissive and misleading toward customers is extremely unprofessional and unfair. I left the store genuinely upset. read more

This place is in a shopping center but there is plenty of parking. My family loves this place you can definitely find something for ever in the family and the decor is pieces are amazing. My husband and I walked in to the store to get a rug which by the way it looks gorgeous in my living room but our eyes caught this table that we have been admiring for months but price was a bit steep. In Northern California, where I live, we don't have a Home Goods. Whenever I get to visit one it is SUCH a treat! This location is gigantic and well organized. I couldn't believe some of the deals we found. Beautiful glassware, holiday decor, dozens of art designs on canvas, and the list goes on! This is the absolute perfect spot to put together a gift basket or care package, as it is teeming with candies, gourmet foods, candles, and more. I was looking to find items to decorate a new office space with, and Home Goods did not disappoint. I found a beautiful desk calendar, faux greenery, art, and a beautiful pink velvet letter board. I was probably most impressed by the Le Creuset ceramic cookers. There were high end items peppered throughout the store and many off-brand goods that could pass for high end. I do love this store. This location though is always too packed with stuff which overflows to the floors and it's never clean. The aisles are basically so packed they are one cart at a time, it can be frustrating. They do have a nice variety of items and they are priced well. The staff is hit and miss, some friendly, some will ignore you. Easy location to get to right off Hwy 4 on Sand Creek. read more

I love home goods! They always have different and unique items. Some stuff I do feel is overpriced but you can usually find some good deals. A lot of my home decor comes from here! Today when I went in though it was extremely cluttered and messy, way more than usual! And a lot of items I was interested in were cracked or broken! I'm not going to lower my review off this visit but hopefully next time it will be a better experience. Customer service is not good here. The staff does not know anything and where to find things. I bought a mirror that does not have the price tag on but charged $20 dollars more because the mirror is similar to the other brand. i came back 2 days later, found the mirror has a price tag of $59.95 but homegoods charged me $79.95 plus tax. Don't buy anything does not have price tag, you will be overcharged. read more

If I'm making special trips out to Brentwood just to come to Homegoods, then you know I need to upgrade to 5 stars. This trip was for another mirror less vanity for my bathroom. They have the coolest bathroom stuff. I already have one vanity that fits my mini bathroom perfectly. I just needed another one for above the toilet. With this baby coming I need all the storage space I can fit into this little house of mine. I also checked out the furniture for a rocking chair that might work in my house but the few they had were not the best for baby type rocking. Plus they were really expensive. If you need a gift idea do not waste your time else where. You will find it here. Also, I highly recommend coming in at least a month and a half before a particular holiday in order to get dibs on the best holiday decor. Yes, I make special trips here at least once a month. I have been on the hunt for a particular item and keep being told by employees in store to call ahead and ask if they have received said item. Every single time I call, whoever answers is extremely rude. I was told shipment was coming Friday so I tried to ask and clarify... does that mean it's on the floor Friday, or would I have better luck Saturday? She rudely snaps back "LIKE I SAID, SHIPMENT FRIDAY." She tells me to call back Friday around 9 am before opening, so I do and end up reaching another delightful (I'm being sarcastic) woman. So I ask about the item and she exclaims "I don't know we don't even open until 10!" I explained that an employee instructed me to call at this time so that's what I'm doing. She just goes on about not being open yet and transfers me off to someone else. I'm doing what I was told to do!! When you're in store 90% of the cashiers are rude too. You have to ask to have something fragile wrapped up and when you do they act like it's the end of the world. If you're looking for customer service - forget it. If you're just going in to shop it's not terrible. I live right by this location, but make the drive all the way to pleasant hill just to get a better experience. read more

I was shopping at this location Friday, October 16th. When I returned my cart to the shopping cart return in the parking lot, a young, female, Home Goods employee was gathering the carts up. As I approached her, she was simultaneously talking on her cell phone and taking the garbage left in the carts out and throwing the garbage on the ground!!! I walked away, as I was hoping she would pick it all up ... but as I drove away and turned around, there was a heap of garbage sitting right where she left it. read more

Just wondering why Home Goods employees are so rude to their coworkers in front of a line of costumers. Saw one of the workers be super rude to one of her coworkers. Maybe teach your employees how to be respectful to each other instead of jumping down each other throats in front of the whole store. read more

Very rude and horrible customer service by the Manager Laura. I had tried to make a return with the tags and receipt for a chair and proceeded to tell me that it wasn't a match. Then told me that she will look at the camera with LP. I said to go ahead because I am confident that is the actual item I purchased. She then proceeded to tell me that she cannot take me back there to look at it. Sooooo I'm suppose to just take her word for it. She smirked with no apology. I bought 2 fabulous lamps and a picture for my master bedroom for $116 today. The lamps look like the kind I've found in boutique hotels I've stayed at. I think they easily look like they cost $200+ a piece. There was only one register open today so the line was getting pretty long and the employees looked depressed. read more

The workers are hella rude, one to two people working the registers with a line wrapped around the store. But don't even worry, there's always one worker at the front door making sure you have your mask on while the others struggle to keep the hour long line moving. The store is always a mess and if you ask anyone for help you'll get a huffing noise from them. read more

I love HomeGoods because of the excellent cooking essentials. I was looking for a Cast Iron Pan and I found a Lodge brand one for $26.99. I rethought the the purchase and realized I probably didn't need it. I happened to see the same pan, same maker for $12.99. I immediately bought it have made skillet cornbread and a standing rib roast. I was also in the market for a Dutch oven and I found a beautiful red one for $59.99. My only complaint was the lack of staff on the floor to assist me. read more

I'm into the bargain hunt, so I like Home Goods. It's a great place to find stuff to update or inspire a room re-do on a slim budget. In comparison to the Moraga store, this one is heavier on art and mirrors, lighter on furniture and dishes. Their stuff also tends a little more towards the funky than the traditional, which is often a good thing in my view. On my most recent visit I saw some non-traditionally shaped love seats, a huge pink "snakeskin' trunk, red pleather chest of drawers, great groovy orange lamps, etc. After looking lots of other places, including the Moraga store, I came home with a framed mirror that finished off the bathroom "re-do" perfectly for $40. It turned out the cardboard corners were stuck to the mirror and a bit of the finish came off with them, but a sharpie fixed that up so you'd never notice. That is the thing about HG right? Items often aren't in perfect condition. You have to decide if it's something you can fix or live with. In this case, I'm pleased with the results. Sometimes a little goes a long way. read more

I love HomeGoods, but particular not this location. Of course everything is hit or miss in a store like this since everything is cramped and some aisles are very hard to pass through. What really irked me was when I was there a couple days ago was when I witnessed a family stealing a cart full of items. They just pushed the cart out of the store without hesitation and paying. What really bothered me was that they had their young kids participate in this kind of behavior. I also mentioned something to the cashier and did not even blink an eye as if it was nothing. The workers or management are oblivious or they just do not want to deal with people like this. In any case I'm sure this particular store is losing thousands of dollars in merchandise due to theft since it seems so easy to just walk out with a full cart of merchandise without paying and getting away with it. Its stores like these, that make me wish I had a 10,000 sqft home in order to hold all the wonderful items I would buy...Oh Home Goods.. My master bedroom is italian countryside... they have italian countryside artwork. My master bath is seaside (sand, ocean, seashells, lighthouses, etc)... they have seaside artwork. My downstairs is all wine art related... they have wine artwork. You name it... they've got it. I have purchased more artwork from Homegoods than I have walls for. No joke. It's a sickness. Homegoods has more than art. They also have; furniture (indoor and outdoor), accent pieces, lamps, all things kitchen and dining, etc. A new homeowner's dream come true. Or... in my case, a newly divorced (though, not-so single... sorry fellas), out on her own girl's dream come true. This store has a terrific location on Balfour across from the Streets of Brentwood. The interior of the store is sometimes cluttered but always full of interesting finds. The floors and shelves are clean and well stocked. Sometimes they're overflowing with product to the point of being a bit hard to sort through. Because the merchandise is always changing, if you find something that you like you should buy it right away because the next time you come in it could be gone. The prices are great for nearly everything in the store. I took stars off for two reasons. The first reason is the service being inconsistent. I've had a single stellar interaction with the manager, a single really annoying interaction with a cashier and then tons of mediocre, run of the mill cashier interactions. The second reason is because of product quality. Most of the products found here are high quality and well made. The exception is the expensively priced arm chairs. We purchased one of the more expensive chairs because it was perfect for the space in which I wanted it. When I got it home, I found that the legs were cheaply made and not put together very well. I returned the chair and have since been unable to find another one that I've liked due to issues with quality. read more

Usually I find that when I go here just to shop around is when I end up dropping some cash. When I go here on a mission to buy something in particular I find nothing. The prices are good...really good. I have bought many a picture, dishes, and other items around my house from here. Shhhhhhhhhh it's a secret. That painting on my wall was not actually purchased in downtown Carmel. Oh wait...how about those Italian style tiles I just bought today for my kitchen. The cashier "Victoria" which is a older WW has to be the rudest person I've met in a very long while. Simple questions like Can you see if there was a sensor left on my purchase, seemed to tick her off tonight!! I over heard her say she was losing steam but it seemed like steam was coming out of her nose while she spoke with me!! I'm at dinner now with a glass of wine trying to block out how I was treated... it's not working so I'll be reporting her to the HomeGoods corporate office and since I taped our conversation, maybe they can use it to show her and others how to speak kinder to their customers!!! read more

Purchased a rug, they set it by the counter until I was done shopping. It was rolled up, it wasn't until I got it home and hauled it up the stairs to the intended room before I discovered no one at the store removed the 2 piece security tag before it left the store. It takes a device to remove it. So I guess I'm taking it back to the store so they can fix their mistake. What a complete and total waste of my time, all because employees behind the counter don't follow a checklist of how to get bigger items ready to leave the store. After this is fixed I won't be shopping here again. read more

I've shopped at this store since it opened and I've loved it. The majority of what's in my house is from here. The staff is always wonderful, store packed with great stuff but I found I just rush in and out without browsing as fast as possible because I literally cannot stand listening to the country music playing!! I'd probably spend twice as much if I could actually browse for awhile. I'm dying to see what else is in the store. I just can't take it though. This Homegoods is small and crowded, but I always find good stuff here. Too many breakage accidents happen because the place is difficult to navigate with a cart (and even without a cart). All in all, a good place to shop with good inventory. Just be careful! read more

Found a 8 gallon stainless steel garbage can with foot pedal. These have been over 100$ at most locations and I got it for 50$ . This was 99$ at BB and Beyond the other day. No damage and it works great. You always have to check items at this store because some will have dings scratches and this was AOk! read more
