Can't believe what my daughter and I just experienced. Its our first time shopping here we were early for our reservations at Benihana walked in was doing our shopping when both of us noticed we were being watched by a manager ( I asked who she was from an employee) she was walking and watching us shop.....yes I have tattoos (arm sleeve)is that the reason I look like i am going to steal ....I have never ever felt so uncomfortable we purchased our items and she still came to the end of the check out stand and eyed me down what in the world was that all about I will never step foot into this store again also have a large social media following and will also post. read more

I like coming to this Home Goods. They have a huge inventory selection compared to other Home Good stores. I am still beating myself up for not buying the carved wood night tables I saw. The staff is accommodating and helpful. However, when it comes to checkout. The lines are pretty long. Although, they have multiple cashiers open the check out is not quick. Parking is available because its in a shopping mall. You can buy big piece furniture and place it on hold and they will hold for you for 24 hours. read more

i'm sad to post this because i absolutely LOVE homegoods and shop in store at least once a week but.. i attempted to return a pillow without the receipt (since their policy states that store credit will be given with no receipt) and they would not accept my return because the item that was pulling up once they scanned the tag "did not match" the item i was returning. and so how is it my fault that an employee put the incorrect tag and now i am unable to return it because of an employee error? so i went home and found the receipt (ah-ha moment!) and when i went back the 2nd time they still gave me a hard time as if was up to something trying to get more money out of the deal? i just wanted a stinking store credit! so i go home only to realize that they credited me for the pillow (on the receipt it said cash) but never actually gave me the cash, put it back on my debit card NOR did they apply it to my newest transaction. so here i am 9 months pregnant making my 3rd trip in 2 days. horrible customer service / management. read more

I just want to say, don't tell me you can't hold a brand and then hold it for your staff. That's pretty unfair. I called a couple weeks ago for some plates to be held for not even an hour and HG refused. But then I go in today and see items from that same brand being held up front by the registers. Rude. And on top of that, your staff is extremely unhelpful. I can't ask a question without some eye rolling? Really? If your employees are that unhappy, maybe they should be there. read more

Unfortunately my last experience here caused me to leave a bad review due to the manager at this location his name is josh. I went in to return a item w out receipt however I called and verified policy online I am able to do so for store credit w a government id. When I came to the store I ran in first to use the restroom I happened to ask josh where it was I then left after to my car to grab my returning items came back into the store straight to the line. Josh had them check cameras cause he said I didn't have the items when I asked him where the restrooms where. I was fine w that I knew I walked in w these items he then said I did not walk in with the items and took my items to his side of the counter I then was mad and embarrassed at this point I said we can call the local police and have them review the footage and give me my items back he then put my items back on the counter and said "if you say they are yours you can walk out with them" as if he was accusing me of stealing I was so humiliated I then took my items an left and went to another home goods who returned my items easy no problems. I also called corporate office and made a official complaint on this HomeGoods and manager I have never been so embarrassed to return a item in my life. Horrible customer service. read more

I was in your Home Goods today. I am from San Francisco and had to fly to Downey to see a specialist at the hospital. I had several hours to kill before my appt so I stopped by Home Goods. I can not let this day pass without commenting about the exceptional customer service I received from your associate, Sephora. She was so friendly and so helpful! I had a lot of worries on my mind but she went out of her way to explain to me where the hospital was located. This brief but friendly exchange was a bright spot in my day. This one-star review is for the disastrous level of customer service we experienced here. Let me start with Maribel, the poorest excuse for a manager in the history of all mid-level employees. She is a prime example of a company slapping a title on anyone who put in enough hours to qualify for it. It has absolutely nothing to do with experience, people-skills, or any other quality good managers posses, because she has none of that. We recently purchased over $700 worth of furniture and decor and decided soon after that two of the pieces didn't work in our home. Because they were big furniture pieces, we waited for a weekend when my brother could carry them into his truck and into the store. In the middle of the return process, Stephanie Rodriguez (the employee, who was equally as nasty and disrespectful as her manager) denied the refund in the form of original payment. She condescendingly pointed out that it had been more than 30 days and could only offer store credit. At that point, we called a manager over, but an assistant manager came first. She said it would be up to the manager to ultimately decide whether or not we could receive a refund instead of store credit. When the manager (Maribel) finally came over, she was SO unaccommodating and rude. She refused to grant us the return as a courtesy. She said there was absolutely nothing she could do, which was clearly a lie because there would have been no point in bringing her over to discern whether or not the refund could be processed. The assistant manager would have just said no to begin with. When we told the store manager what the assistant manager said, the assistant manager said we were putting words in her mouth. During all of this, the manager even left the conversation. I honestly couldn't believe the entire experience. When my mother confronted her about it, Maribel said that the employee was handling it. As a manager, it's YOUR job to handle the situation, especially when you see a customer and an employee struggling to come to a fair solution. AND to top it all off, Stephanie Rodriguez rudely asked my mother for her pen back and smirked when she saw management come to her defense. That was the final straw. We asked for corporate's number and the manager's name. Not to our surprise, they gave us the wrong number and refused to give us Maribel's last name, even though it's written on her name tag. Look, I understand that we were slightly over the 30-day mark, but the disrespect, the lack of courtesy, and the lack of common sense in granting a return for someone who spent nearly a grand and was only returning a mere fraction of the entire purchase is obscene. We will never return to this store. Management and its employees are reprehensible and need courses in basic customer service. read more
