I was dreading going to HomeGoods two days before Christmas, but to my surprise, the Dr. Phillips location was surprisingly peaceful and not nearly as chaotic as many of the others. It makes sense now looking at the reviews that this is definitely one of the better HomeGoods stores in Orlando. I was looking for some baking supplies for my stepmom, as well as some cute gift wrapping options. HomeGoods was well stocked with all of these things and I'm happy I was able to finish my holiday shopping all in one place. I found some nice cookie sheets and muffin pans, and some cute gift tags and bows to add a little flair to my Christmas presents this year. What I appreciated most about this location was that 1) the aisles were not as narrow and 2) the shelves were actually shoppable and not completely overstuffed to the point that you can't even remove an item without fearing for your life because an avalanche of glassware may come crashing down on you (like the Winter Park location -- eek). No lie, it's like playing Jenga at some of these stores that are just completely overstocked. I will definitely be making the drive out to this one in the future! read more

This is our 'go-to' store besides the Marshalls over at the FloridaMall. We always have to make a trek to the store when we're in Dr. Phillips. Really great place for home decor items, and other cookware and bath items. Since it is a store that's been there for a while, it gets a lot more demand than the Home Sense store next-door so a lot of the items are disheveled and moved around by the traffic. That's something that HomeSense store doesn't have to worry about for just a few months as it's quite new and not yet discovered. read more

I am going away to Saint Augustine for a day trip with my fiancé in about a week. I stopped here really quickly to look for an insulated tote to hold either bottles of wine or cans of soda. I am so happy with my purchase. I found an Ollie and Olivia insulated wine tote for $14.99. I have fallen in love with the Ollie and Olivia brand I have a lunchbox that I take to work with me and it keeps the food cold and fresh. I also found a stainless steel pride wine Tumblr for six dollars as well as a canvas tote bag for six dollars for a friend. No one really helped me today except the lady at the counter and she was nice. If you haven't been here before this HomeGoods is right next to their new store HomeSense off of Sandlake Road in the same little strip as the ulta. 10/10 I recommend it read more

I don't know why I never remember start here when looking for kitchen gadgets and goods. I was on the hunt for a decent and reliable Dutch oven but didn't want to break the bank. I tried several Ross', Marshalls', and TJ Maxx's around town. Although some of stores had them, the selections were small and not what I wanted. I finally went to my Home Goods and what do you know, there were so many brands, colors, sizes, and price points to choose from. Within 10 minutes I was in and out. The store is an be overwhelming to many, as there is tons of merchandise and it's all over the place, but anytime I need something for home I am always able to find it there at a good price. The employees are always friendly. If you are visiting, just expect for it to be busy and there is usually a line to check out. By far the best Home Goods in the area in my opinion. read more

This HomeGoods delivers on what HomeGoods is Good for. This particular store has more rugs than some of the other HomeGoodses in the Orlando area. Like other HomeGoods, if you see something, buy it as it may not be there next time. They routinely have some good deals on some good brands of stuff. Le Creuset, Viking, and All-Clad jump out to me for kitchen stuff. They also usually have some interesting snacks, sauces, spices and soaps (the 4 S's of Life). Another benefit of venturing out to this HomeGoods is all the great restaurants in the area. It's on Restaurant Row so indulge with some of the money you save on home decor vs. some other specialty stores. read more

A larger location on the main tourist pathway. It's a little tucked away from the street, but there is good signage on the roadway to let you know where to turn. The parking lot is large, so you shouldn't have any issue parking. Inside it's clean and well organized. They have all the items you'd expect to see from this type of chain. There is a staff about but they are mostly working to organize or stock. It's easy enough to find anything you need from the well organized categories and sections throughout the store. There is signage hanging from the ceiling to help you find your way. As usual for this chain, they have one register line that leads to all the open registers. It moves pretty quickly and they have clear physical distancing signage on the floor. Overall: A+ Good location that's well organized and clean. It's no secret that I love HomeGoods. I've been to every location in Central Florida and it's not uncommon for me and hubs to visit for than one/day on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. This location in the Marketplace at Dr Phillips isn't in our regular rotation, simply because it's not the most convenient for us, but it seriously should be. Having been there twice in last 6 days, I can officially say this is my new favorite location. This appears to be largest HomeGoods in town, making it easier to navigate through without feeling crowded. I think I've bought all but 1 of our rugs at a HomeGoods so I'm always checking out the selections when I visit an of their locations. This Dr. Phillips location has twice the amount of rugs of any others. It is awesome! Same can be said for their furniture selection. The lines move quickly and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you're out and about on the hunt for any type of home stuff, this is the place to go. I've bought furniture here, rugs, pet supplies (bowls, cat trees, shampoo, etc) seasonal décor, bedding, towels, pots and pans, toys, food, planters, dishes... you get it. :) Prices are usually super reasonable, aside from some furniture that can be on the high side, but otherwise I always feel like I'm getting a good deal. read more

There's nothing I love more than wandering through a well stocked HomeGood's for hours on a solo trip. I came in on NYE and was surprised at how clean the store was considering the huge crowd already forming by the check out line. I grabbed a cart because duh and was on my way. Not only was the store immaculate but it was SO well stocked I quickly filled up my cart with "necessities". I was thrilled to come across a YSL coffee table book on sale and grabbed it immediately. 3 Stars for a ton of stuff that makes for eclectic home furnishings- painting you as a world traveler and collector. (However false that may be.) Ok, so yes. You will likely cringe at some of the framed quotes about friends, your lover, and the ocean. But move past those, wouldja?! There's so much to see here that it can be overwhelming and tempting to run back out into the real world. But stick It out, friend, because you'll find that it's hard to go through the store and NOT find one thing you could see yourself impulsively purchasing. The home decor is very "eclectic" and includes a ton of items that appear to be from all over the world. And they are, for the most part. I run into the problem of finding a few things I like but feeling pretty inauthentic in buying artisanal-looking items here and not from a local vendor in the country of origin. I got that similar feeling looking at a random throw away book with a fancy book cover (which didn't correspond) that serves the sole purpose of painting you as someone who reads very unique books and that's very "in the know." You'd better hope no one opens those decorative books and finds out your dirty little secret! Despite this slightly icky feeling, those African drums were calling to me. "If only I had an Africa-themed room," I thought... before promptly punching myself in the face. So, what can you purchase here? Everything from themed book ends, to giant printed canvases, to decorative throw pillows, to spices, to pickles, to sheets, to soaps, to furniture, to glass drink dispensers for a party, to enormous area rugs, to a hot dog pet costume. And everything in between. It's crazy how much you can find here. It may not all be to your taste, but it's pretty impressive regardless. Overall a decent store with some broken/nicked items here or there (always give it a good rattle and check every angle!), and some of questionable taste, but great visual stimulation and even an occasional hidden gem. read more

I never truly need anything when I go in, however, I can always find something. I can also spend way too much time and money in here as its overfilled with items, especially during the holidays. You need table linens? Cooking tools? Pillows? More pillows? A big mirror to see your pillows? Yup, they got it. Here's the trick to shopping such a store ... you don't go in looking for something specific. If you do, you won't find what you are looking for. If you go in with an open mind (and wallet), your item(s) will find you. They are always switching things in/out so you never know what a particular visit will result in. As for the location, its in a good area in Dr. Phillip's. There is plenty of parking .. its close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The store is always clean, but it can be disordered much of the time due to shoppers picking items up and either letting them fall to the floor to replacing them in areas they don't belong. On my last visit, I was happy to see that the pet area had moved to specific aisles in the back right corner of the store. It was soooo much easier to find things that my pets didn't need! (Seriously, I want to be my pets ... SPOILED.) They just have so much to look at! So, all and all, this is a pretty good location. My only caution would be to breathe and be patient in the check out line. For some reason, it always takes a long time to check out and there never seem to be enough people working that area. So, if you really need that stuff, be prepared to wait a minute ... or five. read more

If I was to get a giftcard it would be def from this store because I can stay in this store for a few hours and start racking up my cart! Most of my household items came from here as of late and so far the items I have bought have been good quality. This store is under TJMAXX and Marshalls so they carry similar home items but IMO CHEAPER! They carry of "Palm" dinnerware and kitchenware in which is a reknown restaurant in washington DC esp for political celebs. Selection is fantastic but the lines are just way too long even when it is not the holiday season. I ran into return something yesterday and waited almost 25 minutes to be able to do so. Wasn't worth it to get $25 back? Maybe if you do the math I waited for one minute per dollar. Lol. However, this is always going to be one of my favorite stores and the selection is always outstanding no matter which when you go to. SUPER! I get lost in this store. I was almost hesitant to post a review because I don't want anyone else to go here... but it's pretty damn awesome. They have EVERYTHING for your home. From soaps to towels to kitchen items to frames to lamps and everything in between. I bought a really nice armchair from here and a fantastic 6 foot mirror. This place is HUUGE. I walked in looking for one thing... an umbrella stand. Now, I didn't find it, but that might not be because they don't have it, it might be because I got so distracted in there, I ended up buying 2 cookie sheets, some towels, 2 paintings, and a mirror. Totally forgot about the umbrella stand. Oh well. The only drawback is that it was very messy. There isn't a lot of organization, and some isles were pure mayhem - items all over the floor. I find that the quality of much of the merchandise at Homegoods is less than I seek and usually less than interesting. The place was disorganized as they were rearranging the shelves. Personally I think they should do that after the store is closed. The clearance section everything was piled ontop of everything if u touched one thing everything else would fall.. Usually the kids selection is good not today they seemed to have more boy items then girls and usually it's reversed. I love Homegoods, but I love this particular Homegoods location more than any other. Part of it has to do with the proximity to work, but that's only a small piece. The store is almost always incredibly well stocked. Great deals can be found on glassware if you know which brands to look for. Soaps and candles are always changing, and I pick up a fair amount of those for work. My favorite part though is the service. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. One of the important part of my job is spotting the difference been hospitality and genuine hospitality, and this staff is genuinely hospitable. I like that the furniture is unique and well priced. Overall everything is affordable. The best part are the "unique" finds that make amazing gifts!!
