I have a love-hate relationship with this target location. They always seem to have things in stock…read morethat I'm needing and wanting however, their drive up is the worst. I will literally sit here for 20 minutes plus and yes, I could get out of my car and go in and do my own shopping in that amount of time but sometimes when I have five kids in the car and a baby sleeping, it's a lot more convenient to obviously do the drive up and they have it for a reason so I try and utilize it when I can, but it's just frustrating and a lot of the staff will be like standing around talking to each other and it just doesn't seem like they have trained their staff efficiently at this location because the location on Rejada is always quick. The staff is so nice. They seem super organized. They're in and out so I don't know what's going on at this location, but I'm always waiting a really long time for things and sometimes it's in the middle of the day. It's super late at night. It's not like I'm coming during their busiest hours.

My son, husband and I enjoy Pokemon cards. We collect and rip packs as a family. But because of the increase of scalpers and resellers, it has been extremely difficult to purchase these cards at retail. Target sometimes has these drops and unfortunately, scalpers will get ahead and buy out everything. This morning I arrived at this target location early morning in hopes of getting some Pokemon cards for my son, and one other woman was also waiting. The cashier tells the person he is assisting about the line earlier was for Pokemon cards. He continues to say "I hate it all so much honestly" and continues to complain about it to his customer. As the woman and I stood there waiting for said pokemon card availability in which he hates so much. The customer asks the employee what the fuss is about Pokemon cards to which I chimed in and said "Well my son loves ripping packs and we do it as a family." It's really disheartening that a family's hobby brings so much hate to an employee that they feel they have to complain about it openly in front of others. I understand the hobby can bring a lot of customers to your job but to talk about how much you hate it, openly in front of genuine people who actually enjoy the hobby who are not scalpers -- is beyond disappointing. God forbid families have hobbies and have to compete with scalpers to be able to enjoy the hobby.

However, the real reason for my review is the store's policy of ordering online compared to in person shopping is absolutely absurd. I came into the store looking for baby formula as it says they have it available, and I can even pick it up in store if I wanted. However, when I get to the section it seems like other baby formula has spilled over and someone might have accidentally mistook the items as available inventory. Since it's behind a case, I have to call over an associate, which is an ordeal unto itself. I eventually get two different employees show up to come assist, but of course they don't have the item and it's falsely stating "available." I'm then advised by both employees that I should go upfront and order with the online shopping Walmart representative so they can grab the item from the back for me in the warehouse. So instead of one of the employees going back for me, they are essentially stating I need to order online and "Hope" the item is back there otherwise Walmart will refund me. After politely asking one of the employees, he did check in the back, but after several minutes stated they didn't have any. Luckily he did mark it OUT OF STOCK, but talk about a weird policy- ORDER ONLINE, but don't expect to pick up items in person. This is just another reason why I try to avoid Walmart stores.

It's understandable to me now why so many Macys are closing stores, and get so many poor reviews on YELP. I had a simple case of a gift card purchase at a Vons in Simi Valley for $200. It turned out that the card was tampered with and the money stolen shortly after purchase. With the assistance of Vons management (also very poor service) they got me in touch with Macys GC (gift card dept) to file a claim. After six pathetic weeks of incompetent emails back and forth regarding my case, the Macys GC dept alleged that the receipt that I provided along with pictures of the tampered with card were not a match. I advised them that one simple call to the Vons store management would have confirmed that it was. Apparently no such call was made as they stuck to their original incorrect conclusion that the receipt didn't match the gift card in question. So we are moving on from Macys and will be doing are shopping at Kohl's and other department stores in our area.

Their were no crowds because the Mall doesn't have an Anchor Store. The mall during the year plays music from the 1950's! Who are they trying to attract, 80 year olds? I was hopeful the New Management that took over this year would make a difference. They have not. I hope these reviews inspired the City to take action to better revitalize this wonderful space. Some positive things are the Wonderful SIMI VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL that was held here! I Highly recommend it!! I also admire and appreciate The Veterans Museum here that is Fantastic! I encourage people to go on weekends to check it out!
