Everyone here was so helpful. I love this location, it's one of their biggest ones and they have plenty of selections here. Sooooo many boots. What goes with boots? Hats! They have so many hats to choose from as well. Options are endless. They also are able to customize their hats to fit perfectly and their boots as well. This is by far the best service I've ever received at a Boot Barn. I brought in my Lane boots, which I had ordered online, to exchange for a different size that I wanted to try on in-store. Every other Boot Barn I visited told me to come to this location specifically because they have the best selection--and they were absolutely right. I was honestly surprised at how many boots they had in my size, especially Lane boots, which aren't that common within a 60- to 80-mile radius of me. When I asked for help, the associate assisting me went on her lunch break but let me know that her co-worker, Fatima, would take over. And let me just say--Fatima was hands down the sweetest, most patient person I've ever dealt with at any location. She went above and beyond to help me, even ordering another pair for me online in the color I wanted after I tried on a bunch of different boots in store. The selection here is amazing, they matched the online pricing, and the service was top-notch. I had the worst experience here last week on 4/8. My sister & I had gone in to find some boots for stagecoach . The entire time we were there Shelly was following us around & constantly asking if we needed help , after we had clarified that we did not need any help . We had told her that we were waiting for our mom to come because she was going to be buying boots as well , she proceeded to ask about 4 times if our mom was actually coming to the store & if she knew it was that store specifically. Mind you were 25 & 24 years old , it's not like we're children . Anyways we proceeded to ask them to hold our boots in the front because we were gonna go next door while we waited for our mom . Well to our surprise we came back about an hour later & they had put our boots back , most likely because they thought we weren't going to buy them / be able to afford them . When we checked out they handed us the boots in bags which seemed weird to us because we had seen a white guy get a pair of boots & they put them in boxes ?? Well fast forward to Sunday , my sister went back with her boyfriend and his best friend to buy more boots & some hats .. another god awful interaction . My sister proceeded to ask the manager how we could get boxes for our boots & she stated that they come free with all boot purchases or you can buy one for a $1 . My sister let her know that we had been in store a few days prior and they had refused to give us boxes . The manager Sarah or Skylar we aren't clear on the name , had such a nasty attitude when my sister asked if she could have boxes for the boots she had bought . Overall , the customer service here is garbage & they're prejudice as hell !! Super rude , full of attitude but lacking of actual knowledge!! We've spent well over $2k at this boot barn in the last week & they did not fail to make us feel AWFUL !! I was gifted a pair of Uggs for Christmas that were purchased from Boot Barn online. I needed to exchange them for a different size. The employee told me that they don't carry Uggs in store, so I was going to have to have them shipped to me. I was okay with that. He handed me his little tablet and had me fill out all of my information including my name, shipping address, and billing address. I handed it back to him and he told me to enter in my credit card number. I asked why? I thought this was an exchange. He said because it was ordered online I need to rebuy them. BUT they were a gift, so the person who bought them for me was going to get a refund and I was going to be out my own money? I asked them if they could return the original pair and place the return on a gift card so we can use the gift card to repurchase them online so I wasn't paying for them myself. The gentleman and the female manager both told me no. These people have no idea what they are doing. I have no choice but to email Boot Barn directly to get this taken care of. Avoid this store. Went over to the shop today because I needed to get some new boots. Other than a quick hello the ladies in the shop were too busy organizing to offer assistance. I finally had to ask for help and the girl had no clue how to help me and seemed to be annoyed. After some failed attempts of trying on a few pairs, I asked if they had work boots. She directed me over to a different part of the store without helping me. When I couldn't find the section I just left, Totally dissatisfied. Worst customer service experience I have had in a long time. Don't usually leave reviews but as a long time store owner I felt the need to let the establishment know they need to really work on their customer service and training the staff to actually help customers. read more

I've visited this new store several times now, and it's clean, spacious and well-organized. The selection of boots is pretty amazing and about what you might expect from a store called: "Boot Barn." They also have a large inventory of both men and women's clothes, including jeans, shirts, jackets, belts, hats and a decent variety of work clothes. Despite the western theme, they also have work, hiking and casual boots, although they don't carry premier brands of hiking boots, like you'll find at REI. But for the casual hiker, they will definitely have what you need. One nice thing about the store is the central seating area, replete with a comfortable sofa and coffee table. It's nice for relatives and loved ones who go shopping with you, who probably don't want to tag along in the aisles. This store is dog friendly, so feel free to bring your best friend along too. However this store isn't perfect and it falls short in some ways. While there are some incredibly helpful, outgoing and courteous associates, such as Stacey and Sarah, many of the other associates appear to be disengaged, less-focused and even a little rude. I caught one middle manager scolding an employee in front of a customer, and another young female associate rolled her eyes behind a staff member's back. A lot of the staff are very young, and they may not have great people skills or maturity yet. Some good customer service training might be in-order for some of the younger employees. Also while temperature is often a subjective thing, this store is uncomfortably warm, during this Summer. Either the air conditioning isn't working properly or management has decided to save a few dollars at the expense of their customers. Walking around a big store while it's warm is no fun. Their selection of products is pretty good, but it's obvious that the store heavily promotes and stocks some brands, such as Wrangler over other brands, such as Levis. This is probably a corporate decision, which is out of their control, but it's nice for customers to easily see and shop for their own preferred brands. I can definitely recommend this Boot Barn location, and with a few simple improvements, it could easily earn 5 stars... read more

Watch out for one of the managers, her name is Skylar. She was extremely rude and condescending to me and other customers I over heard her talking to. She does not create a welcoming environment at all. She clearly does not like her job and makes that obvious with her poor attitude. I was really hoping not to do this. But here goes bc I hate getting screwed knowing something can be done. They just want to keep the cash and be greedy assholes bc that's what they do. I visited the thousand oaks location and was very taken back by how beautiful the store is. I felt like I was in a Beverly hills mall. Attractive staff too. I would have normally asked for the manager, which I ended up talking to bc as usual no one else knows what to do. I just came in to get the cash from the gift card bc it was a gift and I have no interest in wearing western clothes. My neighbor was nice enough to gift this to me. My attempt to get the cash from the gift card was denied in the store. I tried contacting corporate via email, they also denied my request for cash. Its only $50-not trying to pull some fraudulent crap. Just want to get the cash. I know that at some point someone from bootbarn will reach out to me to offer me the cash if I agree to take down this crappy complaint. Sadly it has happened before. My past complaints have been with 24 hr fitness, Petco, and a few other places that have agreed to settle my complaint and give me what I want. I cant emphasize this enough. Its just $50. I know they just want me to burn up that gc in their store so that profit goes in their revenue. Not going to happen. Especially since the 3 employees of bootbarn refused to try and help me. I remember the manager telling me, "they don't do that". I don't believe the gift card is final sale. I fully believe that a manager has full privileges with the cash, and is able to do it. It might be frowned upon to "do it" bc its considered a refund, or loss of sale. Let me be clear on this. I am not angry, I'm disappointed. If someone from bootbarn reaches out to me about this, I'm really going to have to figure out what direction to go in bc I know businesses check this sight from time to time to see who's complaining about what. TBH I should not have to even post this. My thinking is: make the customer happy. That's it. If your so worried management will fire you for doing the right thing, you probably aren't supposed to be working there to begin with. They will file for bankruptcy like everyone else that isn't taking care of the customer. read more
