Upon walking in I can feel like I would be looking around awhile. So many things, items and goodies throughout the store. I've never been here since it opened (unsure when that was actually). So many snacks, and items to look at. Don't come here hungry, like I did. Wear good walking sneakers. I will definitely come back . I just wanted to see what they have it's a LOT. read more

My favorite Homegoods location on Staten Island, it's not very big like the one on Hylan but it's got some gems! Like most TJ Maxx and Homegoods stores, you have to be in the mood to search for the good stuff. The last time I went I found this adorable hello kitty mug that was damaged and it was the only one, I took it to the cashier and told her and she wouldn't discount it for me so I didn't end up getting it but I hope they get more in stock soon! read more

My family shops at Home Goods and spends thousands of dollars there. I needed a desk lamp. The one I picked was clearly damaged and dented and I asked for a mark down which is very common. The cashier agreed but it had to be approved by a very nasty arrogant woman named Christina. She said that's the way it was made. Clearly it was not. I will never go back to that store or for that matter all of Home Goods. They failed to understand the customer is always right, I mean always. This store and Christina deserve a 0 rating. This HOMEGOODS would be a 3 or even a 4 STAR review if it was based solely on their inventory because although the prices are "ok " Not Great it's still pretty good . "Inventory guy gets 5 stars . " The prices are still "okay" they do have have descent stuff and useful home goods . One Star because the STAFF and cash register personnel act is if they are doing you the customer a favor just for showing up to work . They are RUDE , UNHELPFUL and very quick with their sarcasm . Almost as if the co workers are competing with one another in regards to who can be more obnoxious to paying customers . Aisles are cramped the check out line is long and poorly organized , But they do sell useful home goods just like the name . I will be back they will either receive a One Star or Three Star . Oh another mess.... this place is like a salvage store. There's items on wagons in the middle of the cramped isles and the stuff that you are looking for is likely not where it should be. This place has a good location, small.... but totally not organized and the line to check out.... expect to wait. I still don't understand why I even bother to shop these venues in Staten Island. I love this fine establishment. The workers are so nice even after my friend broke a piece of glass. However, I was there last night. The older woman manager was SO rude to the workers. It was super loud too. I was in shock that someone could be so blatantly rude to her workers especially while customers were present. It makes me wonder how rude she is to them when no one is there. I've never experienced this situation in any store, ever. I found the same exact curtains in clearance packaging. 2x 84inch panels for $9.00 (original 19.99) and 1x84 panel for $14 (original 16.99). I brought it to the front and the associate brought the manager over, Linda. Linda carried on about "them" tagging it incorrectly and I should get the 2 pack for $14, after it already being rung up for $9. She went behind the register and took them both out of the bags, turned around, and said you can have the single for 9.99. I said I didn't want the single for $1 more than the double option. She continued on about "they" labeled it wrong. I said so "you're going to charge me $5 more on something for bringing this to your attention". She said "yes". I said "I'd never experienced that before in a store, you're supposed to honor the lowest price". She said "It doesn't always happen that way", proceeded to throw the package on the counter and said "here take it". Wait, what?! From a manager?! Never have I experienced this level of immaturity and unprofessionalism. Save your time and shop elsewhere! Upper management, please get Linda some courses on managerial duties and responsibilities. read more

Please tell me how this store doesn't have any carts.. I went to buy a lot of things for a new apartment and I had to leave because there were no carts. New home goods that just opened on Richmond Ave. The place is an absolute mess as well as the staff. I went in for a gift card in which I thought this would have been an in and out procedure and it wound up being a half hour. There were many people at the front working however, they were not moving in an efficient manner. The lady who rung me up didn't even know if she put the money on the gift card or not. I asked another employee if she can just double check that the right amount went on it and she looked at me like I had 10 heads. The store just looks like a bunch of things were thrown on the shelves and placed in no order at all. This store is a complete disaster and could use more training in their staff. Second time in here and second time waiting online for almost 20-30 mins two registers open store manager must be blind not to see the line wrapping around the isles ... otherwise store is clean and in order , but the registers and lines are insane . This is an alright store. It is definitely cleaner and more organized than the Hylan Boulevard location, but I suspect that this is only because it is new. There is less variety and less general product. I will probably keep going to the other location. Where is the darn clearance rack?? read more

Employees are always rude here. Every time I come here the person ringing me up is distracted talking to other employees about personal things and every time I come here the cashier drops my items as they are trying to ring them up. It's happened 3 times in a row. Yikes read more

Not the cleanest of all places but definitely a nice spot to come if you're looking for a little bit of home decor. The store is pretty large but there's so much stuff that you can become lost in it. I was so excited to hear that Home Goods was coming closer to where I live. I usually wait to go to the new store until all the hoopla has died down, unfortunately I didn't wait long enough. My first mistake was thinking I was going to be shopping like a bandit. I walked in the door and to paraphrase Bette Davis "What a dumb". There was more merchandise on the floor then on the shelfs and racks. The name of the store is Home Goods why are they selling children's toys? I am not accustomed to buying merchandise that has been on the floor, that people step on and go over with their wagons and leave wheel marks on the merchandise. I cannot say anything about the cashiers since I refused to buy merchandise off the floor. This is as bad,if not worse then Marshall's which is one on the same. I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

I love HomeGoods I never would've imagined having to leave a one star review for HomeGoods however this location needs serious help. It is always a mess and the staff are not helpful or friendly. They act as if you do not exist even while they're ringing you up. Not one word was said i felt as if i was being checked out by a robot. I'd gone to this location about two weeks ago not really looking for anything in particular when I came across a brand of baby sippy cups I was interested in. My daughter absolutely loves the cup. I decide I will be buying a few more. I went to one closer to my house and found 1 last one ripped out of the package. I decide to check amazon and the cup is $5 more. I'd noticed this new location opened and I was in the neighborhood, so while Halloween costume shopping I decide why not. My experience was going good, although I'd come across an associate that was clueless I figured maybe he was new. I kept on looking and found one last cup more suitable for my baby and not my toddler so I grabbed it. While waiting in line(a very long line)I had the most pleasant conversation with another customer...so far, so good...I reach the cashier and she's pleasant enough. She rings me up and I HAND HER MONEY IN HER HAND. NOW IT IS TIME TO HAND ME MY CHANGE. SHE PROCEEDS TO PLACE MY RECEIPT ON THE COUNTER AND THE CHANGE ON TOP OF IT AND SLIDES IT TOWARD ME ON THE COUNTER AND LOOKS DOWN AT IT AND THEN LOOKS BACK AT ME. IVE NEVER BEEN SO INSULTED IN MY LIFE. IVE NEVER FELT THAT DISRESPECTED. I cashiered for 5 years and I've never done that to another person. I have no plans on returning to any home goods not even if there was a sign giving everything away for free. I'd give it zero stars if that was possible. read more
