Found everything I needed for the holidays and really want to thank McKenzie, sales associate, working around the store. She helped me with pricing and took the time to get me a shopping cart as my arms were full. I have say I even troubled her for an opinion on a tree skirt which she politely gave me great tip on color schemes. The merchandise is great quality for crystal candle holders, Christmas decorations and art. I would highly recommend this store in Temecula. Also, prices are very reasonable compared to Macy's or other department stores! I found the same candle holders for 1/3 of the price that Pottery Barn was charging. The folks shopping there also seemed to care about social distancing and not crowding you in the isles. I thought line at the registers also loved extremely fast. The cashier I the first night because yes, I went back a second, she was so friendly and didn't make me feel rushed, taking the time to wrap everything very well. Love this store! Great stuff!! My only hope of improvement for the store is nicer staff. They're usually pretty sassy and are even fighting with each other in front of customers. A few visits ago, the lady who was ringing up my order just started venting about her coworkers and how mad she was. I thought it was pretty inappropriate. I absolutely adore Home Goods! They have such a variety of items (today I found dog treats), and such good prices ($3 per bag, where Perco doesn't charge less than $10), that I often go in not looking for anything parricular, but get out with a full cart. I have bought furniture, kitchen gadgets, serving dishes, decorative pieces (holiday and non holiday), pillows, curtains, bath mats, coffee, lamps etc etc etc Nothing has disappointed so far. Although this is a wonderful store with the coolest selection of furniture, kitchen things and decor, the customer service is horrendous. I keep telling myself I'll never shop there again...but then I need something and ... find myself once more standing in endless checkout lines or unable to find anyone to get a price on an unmarked item or ask a question. A few times I had to abandon my cart and come back later. The latest fiasco I got to the cashier with an item and no price tag. The clerk could not find it in the computer, called for over 10 min for a supervisor and then finally said "well, I'm sorry, you'll have to come back later." DON'T WAST YOUR TIME!!! The rudest personnel I have ever encountered! I have always had wonderful experiences at Home Goods, with their eclectic merchandise and excellent prices. Today's trip I found a perfect tissue box cover in a random spot on an isle. Marked with a red clearance tag of $3... Score!! Went to the checkout with my finds and when it was time to ring up the tissue cover... Well that's when things took a turn. The checker looked at me with suspicion and then walked to confer with another employee in the distance. After some time they came back to say "this is $9" and question me why it was marked down to the sticker price .... Ummmm what? Cause yeah it's a conspiracy ... They were insulting and rude! Keep your tissue box and maybe review your tactics and ethics!! And they are not at all equipped to handle high volume ... Causes them to be suspicious and exasperated! read more

Did I already say that this is the best Home Goods in the area?? Hubby and I went in today to browse the pottery selection. We can only go in with particular items in mind, otherwise we end up with a cart full of "OO! This is neat... I need one." We left the store with the neatest pottery for half the price of what Costco was charging for their oh-so-vanilla selection of pottery. Yes, cheaper than Costco. Home Goods is similar to Hobby Lobby, except with a much bigger furniture selection. We weren't looking for anything in particular, but found some cool stuff that we were interested in for our upcoming bathroom remodel. The employees don't really go out of their way to ask if we needed help, but most of them were nearby anyway for the few questions that we had. I think what caught me by surprise the most is how immaculate their men's bathroom was... service was good and we'll be back to take a second look! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This store is an embarrassment to our community and to the chain of Home Goods stores. Yesterday, I went to HG with my daughter, who needed to get out and have a little 'fun' after her young husband died suddenly this week. No one welcomed us at the door, the 2 young men in rugs would not help her pull the heavy rugs on display and rudely pushed us aside when we were 'in THEIR way.' Then, when we went to check out with 3 carts, Kathy (the rudest, worst example of customer service) did not welcome us and say hi, would not bag our $900 in purchases, did not offer to get a price on a rug we had chosen (we left it behind...my daughter-in-law had to move it back), refused to take the paper trash from the HG gift cards and throw it away, did not ask if we needed help to the car---and we did need help, and did not thank my daughter for her huge purchase. Then, the overweight clerk standing next to the exit looked at my daughter and told her the blanket ladder would need to be removed from the cart, it would not fit ...no offer to help at all. We will NEVER go there again. They need to close and school everyone in customer service! read more

I went in for throw pillows and I was hoping to find a decent selection, but when I walked in I was overjoyed to see how many different styles and colors I had to choose from! After a while of perusing I finally narrowed it down and made my selections! I love how many choices I had and the prices were great! I love Home Goods for their great prices and fun items, however this one has the worse customer service. I've been doing recent decorating at my home and I have ventured in to this one quite a few times over the past months, and I have had bad customer service just about every time. I found an item in the clearance section, which was clearly damaged but it did not have a sticker on it. I took it up to the register after waiting in the long line, only to be told that it was not on clearance. I pointed out the damages and the sales person told me it was supposed to look like that. Another time I asked about lamps and if they had more in back, and the woman snapped at me. It seemed as if I bothered her because she was stocking the floral section. She couldn't be bothered with lighting. Another time a group of associates were chatting away down an aisle. I was struggling to get down an entry way table from a higher shelf. The associates saw me but continued their conversations anyway. I will continue to shop here because of the product, but won't ever count on any assistance. read more

Not a bad store. This was my first time in here. There are many treasures to find. As others have mentioned, it's not difficult to spend money when filling your cart. I often wonder where many of the items originally came from and who would actually buy those particular items at the original cost. This is the type of store to find those odds and ends that could potentially complete your search for that empty space in your home. Customer service was friendly and I noticed as other customers had questions or needed help, there was an employee nearby willing to assist. Can't get enough of this place! I love how much you can get for so little! This location can get a little crazy and when you have a cart and you are trying to squeeze down the aisles with people next to you, it can get kind of annoying. Home Goods: Gorgeous finds at thrifty prices! Every time I get the opportunity to stop in a Home Goods store I do. Walking down the isles inspires great ideas for the home and what is different than most home stores I visit, is that I can actually afford to buy something without suffering from the "how am I going to explain that I spent $400 on a mirror to my boyfriend" drive home guilt. There's no more fun to be had than a decor-enthusiast than 2-3hrs spent shopping at HOMEGOODS! A BIG THANK YOU to Abe for all his help in assisting me in finding a bedding set for my springtime decorating. He was so great and helpful looking to see if the had the size of a bedding set I liked but wasn't on the shelves. He took the time to search out the size I wanted and he did it while he was busy, busy, busy up to his ears. He was as polite and didn't act a bit as if he was being put-out. THANK YOU ABE!! As to why I only gave 4stars today, the bathroom was a disaster. Understanding they can't control what nasty behavior some people will do to public bathrooms, I don't fault HOMEGOODS. With that said, I feel they need to have set intervals of tending to the restrooms. Again...a great experience at HOMEGOODS and especially the great service I was given by Abe!! My rating is not for the products I fall in love with every time I shop here, but is for the customer service I witnessed today. I entered the line to check out with 6-8 guests in front of me. 3 or so minutes passed before I noticed no one was moving. At that time, the woman who was waiting first in line called out to inform the 4 checkers standing by a single register talking that there was a long line of people waiting to be taken care of. One of the checkers yelled out very rudely that they were all busy and she would have to wait. The manner that it was said was completely an issue. If it truly took 4 people to ring up a single item, then the system needs to be worked on. Otherwise its just a customer service issue that needs to be addressed. Let me first say that I love Homegoods. I particularly like the items this location has. My issue is with my most recent visit. Somehow with about 5 people in line there's a group of employees at the register area discussing and complaining about the construction and traffic on Winchester. She is a wonderful lady and offered to refund me the cost of the extra pillow after I explained the situation to her. Even if she couldn't do it, she at least acted like she cared and restored my faith in Home Goods' customer service values.
