I came here with the intention of buying a piece of art for my bedroom wall, but ended up coming out with many more home goods! I warn you, if you are coming here for only one thing, stay away from everything else! You will be tempted to buy more! I stood in the pet section for about 15 minutes. There was so much cute stuff! This is a nice home decor store and they have some decent kids toys as well here. Prices are good and they usually have better quality items than stores like TJMAXX (although they are owned by TJMAXX) and Ross. I normally don't write reviews for chain stores because I go to a bunch of Home Goods stores all over LA and I have a business in Florida so I shop a LOT at home goods there also - but the service I received today from a person named GLOW was so disturbing and upsetting I can't stop thinking about it 10 hours later. I was in line with a number of purchase like always - when my turn came the system said cashier #3 was available. I walked to 3 and no one was there so I'm looking around and suddenly Glow chirps at me "no one is at that register". Obviously. She then begrudgingly states she will assist me. I so wish she had told me to get back in line and someone else could have helped me instead. I told her I had 2 items to return plus purchases. She glared at me. I handed her the item and she made a snide comment about only doing the one return for credit and the 2nd having to separate. I had the receipts mixed up and she slammed the wrong receipt down and said it was wrong. I apologized to HER I was so taken aback and mumbled a lame excuse (she made me feel so lousy about this) while handing her the correct receipt. Each purchase she rang up after this was like torture. She sighed and scowled and made me feel so damn uncomfortable I wanted to either hit her or leave the store immediately. But there I stood while she made snide remarks about everything possible. It was so shocking that this stranger who was supposed to be asking me "did you find everything today" with a huge smile and chit-chatting as literally all the HG cashiers do at every HG from here to Florida do - but was instead pissed at ME for absolutely no reason at all. I kept wanting to ask what her problem was but kept my mouth shut because I knew if I spoke it would escalate quickly. I came in to buy party items for an 80th birthday celebration - not get into a fight with a mean, bitter & angry cashier. So I tolerated her rude obnoxious behavior. She handed me my receipt and glared again as she finished up. Another employee at the register next to us obviously noticed what was happening because she made a huge effort to thank me for coming in and wish me a great day etc etc very loudly as I walked to the exit. This is long but I hope Home Goods reads this and please fire this woman. She is not having one bad day because another reviewer wrote a similar review 7 months ago on yelp. Glow has no business dealing with the public nor should she be in any customer service position. She is horrendous and literally ruined my entire day. You can't treat customers this way. If I go back to this store and ever see her I will leave immediately. read more

I bought some sheets I already washed them and put them on the bed they are organic cotton and they are very soft sheets. And the price was great too only $40. So impressed with the customer service at 2 locations I've visited for the first time in the last 2 weeks - one one Crenshaw and one on Hawthorne Blvd - both in Torrance. Whatever I've needed and whenever I've asked for help, they've been so professional and "ready." Yesterday, a young employee Nick even went in the back to see if my desired item might be there. I can't say enough of how great customer thier costumer service they provide here keeping in mind it is the holidays and finding staff to actually wanting to help you is a pain everywhere else.This is my second time at this store and now has become one of my favorite it's clean stock and has great options on accessories and more. Home goods is one of my new favorite stores. I was introduced to it from my interior designer. Did you know that home goods is run by the same company as tjmaxx? The store basically buys stuff that hasn't sold in other stores and collects and sells them at a bargain price (similar to the business model of tjmaxx or marshalls). However this is for dishes, furniture, pet supplies, mirrors, kitchen items, random home deco... and they collect things that do NOT look thrifty or cheap! Many things are high quality and beautiful! Some of my favorite items from home goods is the pet supplies. The same stuff you get from pet Co across the street is a third of the price. Also the furniture they sell is always changing and very modern as well as stylish. They also have a good return policy: little to no questions asked as long as you have your receipt. There isn't much customer service since it's like a retail swap meet where you won't find the same item if you come back a week later. Just walked out of HomeGoods... Wanted to buy a hamper that would be perfect in our nursery. It was the last one, but was damaged. The manager (or whichever employee had the authorization) took $0.99 off of the list price. What?!? Thanks but no thanks. I should not have bought the other product that I did leave with... HomeGoods will not be receiving anymore business from me. The store was unorganized, the employees did not look happy to be there and the prices are mediocre. I enjoy shopping for the unusual and I usually find unique items at Home Goods. The selection of items varies per location and I have much better luck at the store In Westchester at Manchester and Sepluveda. You will find great accent and nic-nac pieces to fit almost any decor. You can dress your house up just like you can dress yourself up with a few good pieces and then top it off with great unexpected accessories. The stores tend to be messy and you do often see damaged pieces still being displayed for sale. I can't give Home Goods a five star rating but I wil continue to shop there. read more

I needed help with a big area rug (8 by 10 to be exact) so I asked the first associate I came across, an associate named Linda. Thinking she would need to call for back up, I asked Linda if there was someone that could help with a huge rug. Instead She had me lead her to which rug and she started taking this huge rug down by herself! LINDA you are awesome! She did it all herself: removing the rug,rolling and taping. Meanwhile a male associate stood by to watch/ wait to carry the rug to the register. Whoaaa, why haven't I seen this supposed chain before?? It's like an upgraded Tuesday Morning, which I love as well! Home stores are my absolute favorite - I can spend a good amount of time combing through every aisle here. It's large, spacious, and very neatly organized, which is essential in stores like these. My boyfriend had to hold my hand and lead me around the entire time, because whenever he let go, I would just end up standing there and staring at everything until he came back for me to get to me move on from all the stuff....lol. What makes this store awesome and better than the rest of HomeGoods is the lovely staff! I wanted a patio set that got sold, and I was so bummed over it. I mentioned it to one of the supervisors Natalia. Well the next thing you know I get a call from her and Natalia along with the manager Brad 2 (there are 2 Brads :) ) went above and beyond to get me the set that I wanted. THANKS so much to Natalia, Brad and Ed for all of their help. This was not my only encounter with them, and their manners and helpfulness makes their store my all time favorite and keeps me going back! I was accused of stealing while shopping still from the rude manager who refused to give me her actual title. She also, was very condescending at not once tried to apologize for her actions. When my husband and I moved into our first new place together, my aunt told me about this little treasure. Everything is affordable. One would think that at such an affordable price, the items would be cheap looking or undesirable, but au contraire! You can buy mirrors for $30, plate sets for $25-$30. They've even got a great collection of dog items, which I'm a sucker for! I bought my dog's treat jar here. The staff is concentrated at the cash registers, which is fine by me because I like to wonder around the store without being disturbed. This HomeGoods is not one of the best organized locations...they have pretty much everything you could think of finding at Ross, Marshalls, or even TJ Maxx...major difference is the organization and that's why I go to HomeGoods...on that side of it...it's kind of a fail for them...but other than that...you can find all the same goodies here as you would another location...only difference is how long it will take you to find it because of the chaos! read more

Rude customer service and poor quality merchandise . Most of the the inventory here has wear and tear or won't last for too long . One of the cashier was outright rude with no smile , thank you, nothing . The returns here can be so frustrating . One of my favorite HomeGoods locations! Great variety of merchandise, spacious floor plan, and clean shelves. I always end up finding something for my new home here. The staff is friendly and helpful. On my most recent visit, found a nightstand that I LOVE (in addition to some smaller pieces). I went to the front to ask for help, and an associate asked Nick to wheel it up to the front area. By the time I got to the front of the line and completed the transaction, another associate called for someone to help load it into my car. And Nick appeared again.
