    I can't say enough about Ellie! She made my first reupholstery experience so easy and fun! I found Ellie here on Yelp; she was able to see me right away. The chair was my Dad's (40+ years!) who passed away in 2006. I recently moved my mom to a new home and she was going to throw out the chair because it was VERY well loved. The fabric was so frayed on the arms and the seat was sunken in under the FLAT cushion. However, the chair has deep significance for me and holds so many happy memories I could not let it go! After choosing a fabric, I went home and it didn't feel quite right. I asked Ellie if I could return and choose another. We also agreed to make the seat cushion a bit thicker. She was so patient and kind. I just picked up my chair this past weekend and I am absolutely thrilled! It matches my living and dining room so perfectly. I feel my dad's peaceful energy in my home. I have named it the Diversity chair. I imagine being in a high-rise building looking down and seeing people's heads; black, brown, yellow, white...a perfect piece to honor all and celebrate our uniqueness. Ellie, thank you so very much!

    I thought I had posted a review in 2022, after the AMAZING reupholstery that Ellie guided me through. She was SO patient in helping me select just the right color and texture for the fabric. And I was so indecisive -- until I found it! I had tried to find a new sofa, looking at some that were incredibly expensive. But none of them matched the design details I loved in the sofa I had purchased years ago but now was just worn out. I've attached photos of the finished product. Oscar, who did the work, was incredibly skilled AND patient, also. He actually added firmer foam to the cushions after the work, which was wonderful. Great enough that I also asked them to redo a horseshoe chair whose cushion had totally collapsed. I can't speak highly enough of Ellie and Oscar; I'm so appreciative of their skills and the care they take -- with furniture and with people.

    I needed to have two chairs reupholstered, so I searched Yelp for recommendations. I received three quotes and Ellie from the Sofa Stop was one of the quotes that I received within a few hours of my request. Upon texting back and forth to get more specific information, I decided to go with her. Once my husband dropped the chairs off, the price was just a little more (understandable after seeing the actual chairs) and what was fine. She told us that the chairs would be ready in about two weeks. Two days later, she contacted me with the news that the chairs were done. We picked up the chairs and they looked absolutely beautiful! Very responsive, great price, awesome work and super quick turnaround. I definitely recommend Ellie and the Sofa Stop!

    Ellie was the only person who would actually give me a quote when I said I wanted to reupholster a sofa and two large chairs before donating them... every other company I contacted in the area just told me to throw them in the trash since the material was cheap and disintegrating. Ellie, on the other hand, gave me a quote, and then had me come over to look at her supply of remnant material to try to find enough cloth to do the job to save more on material costs. The fact that Ellie also arranged pick-up and drop-off of furniture was a huge logistics help, and in this case she had the reupholstered couch and chairs delivered directly to Habitat for Humanity Re-Store once they were complete. And, the items turned out well, I think, even given the somewhat non-traditional shape (see before and after pics)! I will say scheduling can be a little unpredictable (she ended up having the items picked up a week earlier than we had originally planned, and she asked if we would be okay with delaying completion of the items so she could prioritize some other more time-sensitive jobs), but this was not a problem for us given that we didn't have any sort of urgent need and could survive a week without living room furniture. Thanks to Ellie, furniture with decent structure was given a new life rather than ending up in a landfill, and hopefully is making someone happy. Thank you for your personal attention to each of your clients' unique situations, Ellie!

    Came in here with the family-in search of a great couch…read more That's when the magic happened, and.....voila! Enter staff member and interior designer Nathan! Nathan was the CSA, or Customer Service All Star of this experience beyond question. He went (ab&b) above and beyond, and eplained his design services with a level of detail and clarity that Stevie Wonder & Hellen Keller would have been proud of! Did I mention that Nathan is avable to travel to your residence to lend his expertise? My sister went ahead and set up the appointment, and just like that the pending renedevous with Nathan at her residence was set. An A-1 experince to be sure.

    Terrible service and pushy sales people. Every time my husband and I come here, we are bombarded by…read morethe associates trying to make a sale. They are so pushy that we can't even shop in peace. Even when we do have a question, they aren't knowledgeable enough to answer them...?? If you have a return, the staff will give you attitude about it...even if it was their fault in the first place. We came here looking for the Barazza ESP Encore and specifically stated we wanted the ESP version. There were two ladies we asked and they both could NOT figure it out. It was like the blind leading the blind. They were slow AND incapable. I saw that there was NO "ESP" on the package and said "no this isn't it. It states it's the regular Barazza Encore" and they just wouldn't believe me, insisted on checking the barcode numbers which they were incredibly slow at. Not to mention, it was indeed the incorrect product like I stated. Then they went to check in the back and said "good news we have the ESP!" Well we were also buying an espresso machine and did not realize they had brought us the regular Barazza encore (the WRONG ONE AGAIN!!) until we got home. We had to make another trip back just to return it due to their mistake and the sales associate had such a nasty attitude - asking us all manners of questions in a condescending tone and insinuating we used it when we literally bought the machine an hour ago. There was one Asian guy who was polite and attentive but gave us the space we needed without the constant obvious pressure of trying to push a sale. Whatever the incentive to sell or discourage returns is, please stop. Because I don't even want to set foot into this store due to the 5 out of 5 visits being negative experiences.
