The ladies running the store were super surprised I was getting so many donuts, I told them I'm a teacher! After I paid for my donuts they gave me a free bag of donut holes and said "this is for YOU!" So sweet and such a heartwarming gesture on a chilly Thursday morning. The shop was super clean despite being in a rough part of town. There's plenty of locals grabbing a bite at Jason's as they're known for making their donuts fresh every morning! Jason's also serves breakfast croissants, coffee, juice, milk, and other early morning items. There's a fridge inside for folks who prefer bottled drinks. The prices were a little high, I paid $75 bucks for 4 dozen, which kind of destroyed a piece of my soul but at least the donuts were good. You can smell the donuts from outside the establishment which is always a great sign of freshly baked goods. The store is well kept and is always advertising things happening within the community. Depending on the time you're showing up you may be met with a small line which I won't complain about because I love seeing small businesses getting traction. The brand built its reputation on quality, and this location is far from those standards. The pricing only adds to the frustration. Charging nearly $20 for a dozen donuts of this quality is hard to justify.
