Great tasting donuts. I haven't haven't stopped here in over two years. Prices have gone up since the last time I was here, but it's expected with most businesses. I was helped immediately. The only problem I had was another customer was also being helped at the same time. People in Menifee say this is the best donut shop to go to. They were right. So many options and really good donuts. The best part for me, the custard donuts are literally filled perfect. You're not eating half way through and finally get custard. This one after one bite is filled with it. That was a plus for me. Super nice ladies in there. We will be back! read more

If you can't tell from my reviews, I like donuts. Wanted to try something new this time, donut start was the lucky winner. Nothing special inside, but I did think the selection was not like others- smaller. I ordered glazed old fashioned, chocolate sprinkles, Cronut and a cinnamon crunch. They got it right except for the chocolate sprinkles. I was given maybe a white chocolate with sprinkles? Nonetheless it was cakey/doughy. I wasn't a fan of that one. The rest were good. Rating two stars simply because of service. The donuts were amazing, I chose to come here to support local instead of going to Krispy Kreme. The women that work the counter are so rude. I was greeted when I walked in with "what do you want?" I was ordering a dozen donuts for our baseball team, and I saw that they had decorated baseball donuts. So I asked if those are included with the dozen donuts and she rolled her eyes and snapped on me telling me those were extra. I won't go back because of the nasty attitude. read more

Never been here before but finally decided to try it out because Duke Eric F. recommended it. I've been good at staying away from donuts for the last year, so I feel I am justified in my 3 day donut kick, lol. Donut Star is a lil mom 'n pop shop located by the older Stater Bros. on the corner of Newport Rd. and Murrieta Rd. in Menifee. Lots of parking right in front of the store. When I walked in, the donuts were front and center. Very small inside but clean. They still had a good amount of donuts by the time I arrived in the early afternoon. Donuts here are a good size. They also offer frozen smoothies. I tried the caramel latte and I was shocked that it was really good! The lady whipped it up in like 2 minutes and asked if I wanted whipped cream on it. Yes, please! It was really smooth and creamy. Sweetness level was right on the money. I would get it again for sure. I also got a plain chocolate glazed donut which was a nice fat size. It was fluffy on the inside and had a nice soft bite. I didn't pay attention to the prices, but I paid $4.95 so I'd call that a win! The lady was nice and attentive, and she was patient with me while I chose which donut I wanted. Glad I walked in when no one else was in there. I recommend this donut shop for sure! read more

I love this donut shop! My husband brings my son weekly and the owners are always so nice to my son and make sure to have his sprinkle chocolate donuts he loves. They always call him their buddy and are so nice and welcoming to him it really makes his day as my little one is autistic and he looks forward to coming here and getting his donuts.
