My wife called Verus beforehand to check on how much CPAP supplies would cost. She asked the Verus…read moresales person to call our insurer to check on the deductible, copay, etc... The Verus person called back and said that Verus is "in-network" and that we would only have to pay around $40 for the equipment. Well, fast forward a few weeks and we get a bill from Verus for over $220. We checked with our insurer and it turns out that while we have met our "in-network" deductible, we still have a large "out of network" deductible. AND... Verus is out of network with our insurer. So my wife calls Verus, gets a 1st line representative who can't help, but who, after much badgering, allows my wife to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor, who it turns out works for AdaptHealth (which owns Verus), is very nice and finds in their records that their sales rep documented a $110 estimated cost for equipment after the earlier phone call with my wife. a few minutes on hold, the supervisor comes back and tells my wife that they will charge us $100 for the equipment. We take that small win and decide to use Sleepquest next time, as they are in-network with our insurer and it would have only cost us $20 for the same equipment.

When ordering a new/replacement CPAP machine, the service and communication at Verus is an absolute nightmare! My doctor placed an order in early January, in mid- March I called for a status of the order and they said they needed the Drs order. My doctor faxed them the order for the second or third time but by mid-April I didn't receive my machine, no one knew anything about my order and there was still no communication to me about my order. My doctor reordered my machine again April 15th. Fresh start. This time I was determined to stay on top of the order. I called numerous times to check the status and was only successful once. In mid-May I was told by a gentleman that worked in the department where the machines are "set up" that I should receive my machine by end of the month May) and I would be contacted. So I waited then began calling again the second week of June however I have not been successful getting an answer in regard to the status of my order. Each call I am either transferred 3 to 5 times with no success or told they will email the department and someone will get back to me or both, which has NEVER happened. I have not received any communication regarding my CPAP machine and verified my contact info with them numerous times My doctor and I are very frustrated with the lack of service and communication therefore no longer wish to support this provider. I strongly recommend staying far away from them.
