Really mediocre- my co-workers and I ordered here once from lunch and I doubt we will again. The tacos weren't good and lacked any seasoning. I rounded up to three stars because the nachos were solid but it sucks that the tacos weren't. Wouldn't return again because there are better Mexican options in the area.

I had a craving for tacos so I came across this new restaurant on Seamless. I could have walked the 2 plus miles to this area where this place to pick up my order if it was on a nice day. Seamless delivery was very slow because the restaurant staff was doing the delivery. Order arrived 30-40 minutes later and I was already hungry and cranky. I don't know if the delivery method changed in the last two months, but it is highly suggested to pick up your order instead of getting it delivered. Thankfully my order was made hot and fresh because on top of waiting I did the whole wipe down process and handwashing that took an extra 15 minutes before consumption. I ordered the Combination #2 which consists of a taco, tostada and empanada. Upon ordering on Seamless, you can only choose one taco style flavor for the combination. Also, there is the other option of the tortilla type you want: flour or corn. If you want to add guacamole then it's an extra $2. I chose al pastor with corn tortilla with guacamole and pico de gallo sauce. The portion size is pretty good for $12 which is now standard. The taste is reminiscent of what I would get in the food trucks in Jackson Heights. Despite the slow delivery experience I am glad that this restaurant is a spot to go to for Mexican street food especially during these crazy times.

I love a good Mexican joint and am so glad this one opened up since it's other locations are much further from me. The prices are very reasonable and they also have combos. I ordered their tacos, empanadas, tostadas and the breaded chicken torta. Service was pretty quick too. My favorite was the torta. It was packed with meat, cheese, and all the goods. It also has jalapenos which was necessary for a sandwich with so much. I would've actually preferred more refried beans (for both the torta and tostada). The tostada was just alright. I think it could've had more meat but the shell was crispy and actually stayed crispy for the drive home (~15 mins). The tacos were average. The empanadas were very crispy on the outside but the meat could've used a bit more flavor and was a bit dry. I would definitely come back to fill my Mexican food cravings, especially since it's at a great price point for what you get.

This is the best Mexican food in the area!!! I ordered their chicken enchiladas with green salsa, a fish taco, steak taco, and chicken quesadillas. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned! Please give this place a try! Management: Treat every customer like a 5-Star Yelp review.

Green messy pile of wilted salad. Yuck

I ordered chicken burrito and avocado salad from this restaurant. The burrito was ok,nothing fancy or special, little under seasoned, the salad was overpriced and wilted! They put fresh avocados, onions and fresh radish on top of the salad to cover the ugly looking green mess, so at the first sight looked so good and appetizing until I dug into it. I had to throw it out. Never order salad from this restaurant again!

If you're looking for a taco spot that's nearby the bellrose area, homemade taqueria is it! Overall the tacos weren't bad for the price but what really made this trip worth it was the horchata which came in a giant plastic soup container. It was a TAD sweet for me personally but I loved it (esp since it was only $4 when I went). Ordering was quick and I was able to select everything online for pickup in store. The one downside to this particular location is parking. The store is right in front of a bus lane area and there isn't a lot. So be prepared if you're picking up in person! A good idea to tag team it with a friend or partner if you aren't within walking distance.

    Nachos, to-go

Small business joint, on business in the area for about a year (according to female staff), good food, good service, marginal food portion (basing on what I ordered). I was driving home from work and was looking for a quick bite when I happen to pass by this spot. Did not have a problem with street parking. Got in, seems like they are renovating the place (not a problem), small space which fits about 3-4 tables (which is okay with me). Noticed that they don't have a large food signage on the food that they offer (probably because they are renovating), I took a menu from the side of their counter, opted for a Nachos. Their Nachos either come in regular (no meat), or with meat (2 meats), no option of just one meat, so I chose steak and spicy pork. I ordered it to go. The female staff was friendly, informed me that it will be ready in a few minutes, since I am the only costumer my order came in no time. I went home, opened a bottle of beer to enjoy the food that I ordered. They put enough meat in their Nachos, ample amount of cheese sauce, small amount of pico de gallo on the side, has a medium sized jalapeño on the side, but marginal amount of crispy tortilla in it. The Nachos taste good but too meaty for me, or probably I am just used to having more tortilla than the meat on my Nachos. Everything was good except for the scarce amount of tortilla that I got on my order. It's good to see new businesses in my area and this is one of them. As a new business in the area and for a quick bite this place is not bad.

I ordered from here last night an hour before closing and as most people know you don't usually get the best food when people are ready to go home well my my my we found a JEWEL EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS this place should have a 5.0 rating.

Our first time ordering takeout from Homemade Taqueria wasn't as smooth as we'd hoped for. The food took a little longer than expected and two Al Pastor tacos were missing from the order when we got home. The beef empanadas were hot and crisp, but the meat was dry and lacked seasoning. However, the taco (we did receive) and torta were delicious. We will give it another try, but remember to check our bags before we head home.

    Birria Taco
    Brittney R.

Yes! Finally a great taco restaurant in my neighborhood. I have been in the mood to try birria tacos for a while now. But everywhere it is sold is so far or does not have an easy place to park. Now, it's within a quick ride, or Uber Eats order! Husband and I got a bunch of food to try. The birria tacos were great and seasoned well, the quesadilla was awesome, and tortas *chefs kiss* amazing. Meats were seasoned well and plentiful. No lack of meat in tacos, quesadillas, tortas, or small plates meal. Food was very filling and met expectations. Can't wait to try again while working from home and want a quick lunch that I don't have to cook. The prices are extremely fair and they have combination platters as well.

    Wilted discolored lettuce
    angel c.

The customer service of this establishment is terrible . Ordered off Uber eats and there was no option to choose extra lettuce so I added it in the comment section. For some extra lettuce. In the past if there was a fee associated with extra toppings the restaurant would call and ask if it was ok to charge and I would gladly say yes! So not only did I not receive a call I received a nasty note written on my receipt and the audacity to serve nasty ice burg lettuce that was not fresh (the normal amt given with the nachos) not Extra. And I paid $1 for a side of pico which what came was laughable. So needless to say with the many options of other Mexican restaurants around we will not be patronizing homemade taqueria bell rose again.

We went on an Thursday and about a third of the tables were taken. The staff are very friendly but a bit scattered. It's not enough to be completely bothered by it, just to make note. They seemed to be unfocused. We even ordered Jarritos and had to remind them during our meal. Appetizers: We ordered guacamole since they make it to order and it was soooo good. Probably the best part of the meal. The chips and salsa that they give for the table were pretty good too. LOVE the smokiness of the salsa. My date ordered three separate tacos: fish, al pastor and I think chorizo. He said they were okay, nothing that really stood out to him but he did finish it. They're filling though so three was a good amount for him and he can eat up to 5 sometimes if the tacos are really good. I ordered Mole. Mole is a very difficult dish to get down. I've had really really good mole that's been stewed for hours, close to half a day. I even have the thick paste concentrate that friends have given me from Mexico as gifts cause I love Mole so much. Usually, the sauce is close to a gravy consistency, it's smokey from the chiles, not a strong heat, a hint of sweet from the chocolate, savory etc. The chicken should also be to a point where it's fork tender, you do not need much to take the meat off the bone. Tepache's mole was alright. The sauce was a little thinned out, leaned salty and made it hard for the other flavors to come through. The dish was also supposed to come with tortillas and I didn't realize till I put it in a to-go box that I wasn't given them. Twenty-five dollars for mole is a steal because it is a difficult and time consuming thing to make, but only if it's REALLY GOOD. And this one was just okay. Overall though I still want to come back and try out other menu items. I wouldn't suggest the Mole, but I am curious about other things.

Our waiter, God forgive me because I cannot remember his name, was a delightful, kind man who spoke very highly of his place of work when I complimented the food. I came here with a friend: he ordered 3 different tacos and absolutely cleared all of them, while I ordered the carne asada con camarones which came with pico de gallo, rice, and beans. I added a whole grilled/roasted jalapeño and I'm incredibly happy that I did. While pico de gallo might go unnoticed or sound run-of-the-mill, this batch was far from it - the vegetables were bright, fragrant, and fresh, wonderfully complimenting the rest of the food. Two heaping portions of whole well-seasoned, well-cooked carne asada topped with 3 delicious shrimps was the main attraction, with yellow rice placed on the same plate, hot and ready to be eaten. Refried beans were served in a separate ramekin and were also very flavorful. Additionally served with the entree is a cheese tortilla. While this volume of food may seem overwhelming to some, the dish was undoubtedly cohesive and I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed every bite of it. At $21.80 + $1 for the jalapeño, this was an absolute deal. Can't wait to visit again!
