Have been here before for rice bowls but this time, went for their advertised $3 tacos with guac on a Tuesday since we were in the area. No limit on the number. Soft tortilla (heated up) or crunchy shell, with one protein, pick the toppings and of course the guacamole. Made them more substantial by adding rice. I liked the freshness of the veggies. The employee prepping my order said the guac had jalapenos and was spicy so I held back on adding it to some of our tacos but it wasn't spicy at all. She didn't seem very patient too so I felt rushed and forgot to ask for salsa, pico de gallo. Tacos were ok. There is parking behind the building and a rear entrance. Stopped by Guac Shop Mexican Grill for the $40.00 Family Meal, the family meal is only available on Saturdays it's a good value and feeds between 4-6 people. The guy behind the register was not sure about what it included and suggested I do an order on line for pick up at this location. Inside seating and food prepping area was clean. Food tasted fresh , especially the pico do gallo. The only thing I disliked is that the guy handled food, wiped the counter down, counted money without changing gloves FYI: Guac Shop offers a 10% discount to Northwell Hospital workers. Stopped for dinner as wifey loves tacos, we've never been, and it was nearby. Overall, I was reminded of other burrito/taco chains that serve food in a similar style. Ordered three hard shell tacos - chicken, barbacao, and steak. Of the 3 the chicken tasted the best. The other 2 were a little too salty. Also ordered chips and guacamole and they were pretty good. Nothing special about the inside. It's mainly bar style seating with high chairs and high tables along the wall. The person who made our food was very friendly when we walked in. Asked if we had any questions as we looked over the menu. Overall not bad. I would be interested in trying the other protein options to see how they are. read more

The food is mediocre, ordered quesadillas, the cheese was not gooey n melty, overall it was just a bunch of cheese and no sauce inside n basic chicken, the sour cream the order came with was a little off - sour, nothing else comes with the order. Not sure why this place has good reviews. Maybe I came on an off day, but the lady behind the counter obviously didn't like working there and I was indecisive with what to add on my tacos.... I ordered one steak, with grilled onions and peppers, sour cream. It was delicious. Then the second with was with chicken, which was okay...Then shrimp with chili. They literally added maybe a total of shrimps. Not many beverage choices available and it wasn't iced cold, which is what you would usually want to pair with Mexican food. They didn't even offer me ice! This is a kinda hit and run place, don't expect any special customer service. Guac Shop has those uncomfortable, laboratory-style, elevated stools that I can't stand sitting on seem to be the norm these days, you can find them at Chipotle, Wild Fig, etc. Not too accessible for short people or seniors. I love Mexican food. When we heard about the opening of this branch which by the way near our place, we rushed to go when we get the chance. We maybe late to their location grand opening, but never late to give a try and a review on todays visit. Basically it works like the other Mexican food chain eg Chipotle, Hot Peppers. One thing that I have noticed right away from the rest is the drinks they offer, much less in choices and no alcoholic beverages , yet?!?!? I enjoyed my meal. One price for basic ingredients as the usual , guacamole and Queso are extra fee-, $3. Their selling point is that "the secret is in the sauce". I agreed. They have variety of choices and seems likely to give a beautiful dining experience to each diner. Everyone knows that the taste of a meal in a Mexican restaurant chain like this depends on what you pick to put in the order. I loved how they done my protein, juicy and tender grilled steak. We placed an order around 11:30 for a delivery at 12:15 - 12:45. They didn't even notify us that they couldn't prepare the food until 12:45 pm and we cancelled it at that point. They charged us the full amount, nonetheless. If it takes you 90 minutes to prepare a meal for 2 people, (not even including the delivery time) and you can't deliver it within a large window, you should not be charging the customer. I absolutely love the GUAC Shop! They have a location in Garden City & I was really excited when they bought it to New Hyde Park! Their food is fresh and they have a variety of things. We came here on a late afternoon that we did not feel like cooking at home. A small place with a few tables. The joint was neat and clean. They have a large parking at the back. When I first came in to the store, I noticed that they are very busy preparing food with a few costumers, and when I saw their foods packed for pick up I have the impression that they are popular on Pick-up orders. Me and my wife tried a burrito bowl for each, it was easy enough to order as service staff verbally guided me on my choices while I was in line. I opted for Barbacoa as my protein and my wife opted for steak. I chose brown rice, black beans and all the options available except for the garbanzos and mexi sweet potatoes, and as my sauce I went for chipotle mayo. Heads up, there is an extra charge for the optional Queso and guacamole, but luckily on that day, they were giving guacamole for free. I made the wrong choice of protein, I should have chosen steak instead of barbacoa, as the barbacoa was a little bit salty for my taste. They gave generous amounts of proteins and veggies on their burrito bowls. My stomach was full enough after I finished my bowl. All in all I was satisfied with their food, cleanliness and service. There are other competitions that offer free guacamole and that is $3.00 less on what you pay as compared to this place. read more

I stumbled upon this establishment through Instagram, and I must say the food I got today was very good . I ordered through the QUAC SHOP APP (very helpful) for pickup after work. I ordered 2 surf and turf performance bowls, and a carnitas burrito with queso on the side . Guac shop is VERY generous with their portion sizes and the bowls were full of flavor . The pick up system was fast and easy, and the resterant was very clean. Shout out to the ladies at the front who were so kind sweet and warm upon arrival. They always have great deals so I would advise you download their app asap. I will always continue to order from this restaurant as the food is fresh and tasty and the customer service is great . The only reason why I did not give the extra star is because my bowl was a little to sweet due to the yummy pineapples that come with the bowl. Next time I will just ask for less . read more

Always a huuuge fan of Guac Shop. I have been to the Garden City locations and was so happy to find out the one in this area has finally opened! It did not disappoint at all and lived up to the Guac Shop standard - and was everything I expected - filling, delicious, and fresh.
