The taco salad is one of the best I've ever had and it's enough food for two meals, to share, or if you haven't eaten in a long time. Their soft tacos were great and quesadilla delicious. I've been here a few times but my second and third time was the best it may be because I dined in and didn't take it to go. I brought my daughter here also and she likes it a lot. I get her the A which is a soft chicken taco with rice and a soft and hard shell chicken taco. The soft and hard shell is really good honestly one of my fav items they put many toppings inside. I now get the C which is a hard shell chicken taco but I do ask them to switch it to soft and a loaded chicken quesadilla which has lettuce. Now this is my first time having it this way and I really like it. It's also very filling I never make it to the taco after eating this. All meals come with a free can of soda or water bottle. I do like sitting inside and when you do you get free chips. They also have a sauce bar that includes salsa, a green sauce, jalapeños & hot sauce. This is a great addition to any menu item and the jalapeños aren't very spicy they are perfect my daughter even gets to enjoy them. Inside is always clean it's spacious and they have many tables. As a tex mex, this place is really good. It tastes cleaner and better than your typical chipotle. All protein is cooked fresh, my favorite is the shrimp with the green sauce which I highly recommend. It's next to the usps and there's a big parking lot with plenty of parking (which is unusual for NYC). We also tried the beef burrito, which has all the deliciousness of a burrito!...rice, cheese, quac, meat....muah so yummy! There also was the double taco! It's a taco with a hard shelled taco wrapped in a flour tortilla. Even though I am not a hard taco person, the delicious fillings made up for it. We ate everything with the green and red sauce which is free! Super complimentary condiments for the amazing food, especially the green sauce. Everything tasted fresh and the guacamole was surprisingly good. They got this green sauce on the counter with unlimited refills which added a unique flavor and it's not spicy. I also like Jarritos sodas and never seen a Guava flavor before and that was pretty good. I also got a steak taco and the steak was so juicy and tender. I was expecting it to be chewy or tough, but it was not. The owner happened to be there and found out I was from out of state and was nice enough to have me sample the shrimp. I'm not really a seafood guy, but that tasted fresh too. I definitely want to come here again and try out their other menu items. The employees are a breath of fresh air compared to the last owners. Gone is the filthy plastic backdrop behind the register, the disturbing lack of care of maintenance/cleanliness, and most importantly, gone is the bad attitudes from the previous owner/workers. The new owner(s) put a lot of love into the decor and it's a breath of fresh air. The food is.... just lowbrow, basic Tex-Mex. The best part of the food are the tortillas. The beef meat just tastes sour and assaults the senses with unnecessary amounts of sodium. I'll try the shrimp tacos next. It's not cheap but not overly expensive.
