Super cute home and gift shop! My first time today in the store and I spent way too long looking around at all the cute details. I got Xmas gifts for family members and some gifts for myself too of course. They wrapped the presents in a bag and with cute tissue paper which was very sweet of them. My friend kept telling me about this cute store by her house that has all these unique things for the home. I finally found myself down in the area on a day when they were open, so my friend & I decided to pop by. I was SO glad we did as Homeology did not disappoint! They have a fabulous assortment of home decor, clothing, jewelry and other miscellaneous items. This is the place to go if you're looking for a great gift or if you have a spot in your home that you're trying to fill with something that nobody else will have in their home. Horrible customer service and a complete disregard for the health and safety of the community. My grandmother and I were excited to browse through this shop, but were shocked to see all staff and customers blatantly ignoring the CDC guidelines. We kindly gestured from the window for them to put on masks and they all turned away and ignored us. We left immediately, in shock. read more

All I can say is wow. There's a reason that the vast majority of people rate them five stars. If you look at the one-star ratings it's mainly from people upset about something personal and not really anything related to the business. The family that runs this shop are tremendous people. I had never met them before but they made me feel very welcome into their store which has a huge selection of bright and cheery things for your home. There are Christian items available for those that want them including some clothing items. Small businesses that are family owned like this deserve to be supported by our residents. They were there for us during the pandemic and we need to be there for them during these trying economic times. You will find their prices are excellent and selection fairly large. Why give your money to multibillionaires and stores that don't care about you when you can help support a great family like this and get the things that you want and need at the same time. WARNING! Imagine my surprise entering Homeology today and being "greeted" by the shop owner and other customers not wearing masks. (I entered with mine). The owner proceeded to tell me that they do not wear masks in their store to protect others' health, and if I felt uncomfortable with that stance, to just leave. Wow, this establishment certainly does not care for others, nor for loyal customers who have supported their business since inception. I can always find their items very easily online for much less, and protect myself from illness and rudeness. I will spread the word throughout my community of this lack of consideration for others and I'm sure it will have a financial impact on their business. read more

My absolute favorite on-trend decor store to shop at for myself and my clients. The owner and staff are truly wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable people. They have beautiful accessories to compliment many different styles. There are such pretty pieces that you will not easily find elsewhere. On another note, I have to say that I am seriously exhausted by the "they didn't wear a mask" comments. Please ignore these one star reviews based on masking! It has nothing to do with the actual store or the amazing people who work there. Hey, guess what?! You aren't required to wear masks in stores anymore! If you still want to wear one, go ahead! If you feel that it's protecting you...It's your prerogative! But please stop mask shaming the people who work at this wonderful small shop! We need these kinds of small businesses to succeed! This is a well-stocked, well-set up, pretty store with the nicest people working there. It's one of those stores that when you first walk in, you don't know where to look first because there are so many eye-catching displays. But, within a few minutes you start seeing beautiful individual items. The best thing is you can't get it out of your mind. I found myself making a list of all the things I want to look at again, purchase soon, gifts for friends and relatives and recommend to people. The owners really have this figured out. This shop is a hidden gem. Not out in great view, a little hard to find... but it is a great treasure that you will want to share with everyone! The owner is a doll and the staff are so helpful and sweet as can be. In reading the past reviews it truly angered me to see what some people had to say. I say 'their' shop they can do as they please. Mask or no mask, again it's 'their' shop! If you don't like their views, shop somewhere else. I respect their beliefs as they respect mine. Revising my review to two stars. Still super cute stuff, and most of the employees are super nice. However, the owner really puts me off with her political and religious diatribes...When I'm shopping, the last thing I want to discuss is religion or politics. It bothers me that they don't wear masks - it shows they don't care much about their customers. I also find it strange that every time they get a bad Yelp review, they will get a bunch of 5 star reviews all in a row. I think their no-mask policy attracts as many people as it turns off. Maybe more, because this store never used to be very busy and now when I go there it's pretty crowded and I'm usually the only one in a mask. It's a shame, because I really do like their merchandise and most of the employees. The owner is too much for me. read more

Went into this shop to spend a gift card I received. Very cute shop, the staff were all very nice while I was shopping and checking out. However, all staff members were not wearing masks, and many other customers were not wearing masks. I'm not sure how they are getting away with this considering current Covid restrictions? Most importantly, when I was checking out the owner Karee assisted me to my car by carrying some large items I had purchased. On the way out, completely unprompted, she started talking about Covid and the general state of the world. This quickly turned into a rant about Trump, her disgust for Nancy Pelosi and her relief for "all the pedophiles in the world finally being exposed." Despite my efforts to end the conversation and leave (as they had just closed the store for the evening), she continued to go on above the above topics. I was truly trying to be polite and avoid conflict, which I did. Karee (or "Karen?!") definitely turned what is a very rare shopping experience for me from one that should have been relaxing and fun to a complete drag. Look, disagreements with others about politics and current events and certainly going to happen, and I have no problem with someone having a difference of opinion from my own. However, I would never push my own political opinions on others at my place of work (especially when the customer is not initiating any such conversation and showing obvious discomfort), and Karee should not either. It was completely inappropriate and truly cringeworthy. I have some money left to spend on my gift card at this store... I called them today to let them know I would not be back to spend any of the remainder of the card because this interaction with the owner made me so uncomfortable. read more

I asked why no one had masks and they said it was my choice, which sounds like a canned response to me, so I chose to leave. First of all, if you aren't yet following this shop on instagram you're missing out! The owners are not only entertaining but also post new (and adorable) items quite often! It's owned by a mom and daughter, and you can tell they LOVE what they do, and one another! Very refreshing to walk into this store. Secondly, their shop has great product! They sell very trendy and fun items from home decor to books, jewelry and recently their own lotion and soap line! Think Johanna Gaines-type style. Note - They do have a distinct style (especially with their clothes), so it may not be for everyone. However, I think with the diverse range of products, you can find something you will like (might not be your home decor style, but you may love their jewelry or hats, etc.. Or vise versa). It was very hard to find them the first time I visited, but since then I believe google maps or iphone maps - or whomever - updated the shops location when you search them. They are a fairly new boutique so I think finding them was actually part of the initial charm lol (looking on the bright side of it). That was also before they had their sign hung on the shop front, so that was probably early in the game now that I think of it! Regardless, they are on the corner of La Paz and Marguerite, opposite of Ralph's (not in the shopping center with 'big lots', but by the YogaWorks and Waxing place). Random tidbit - I hope they eventually have more selection with their clothing items! I love the style, but most of the clothes I have tried on recently are not the most flattering on my body style. The owners seem like nice people; however, they refuse to follow the state guidelines which are meant to protect the public and employees from risk of COVID-19. None of the owners or employees were wearing masks, which also emboldened several customers to not wear masks inside either. When I asked, they stated that "they are exempted" from state guidelines and were able to social distance (inside of a very small store mind you). The guidance clearly states that you must wear a mask inside of any indoor public space, and when engaged in work when interacting with the public. It's a shame because the store is super cute and the owners seem like nice people. They just don't really care about protecting the health and safety of their employees and customers. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I will not be coming back unless changes are made. read more
