The latest review here is dated April 23, 2024, almost a year ago. They have not gotten a client since then? I am not surprised. They must have lost potential clients because they could not get a job as simple as showing up on time done. They texted me two reminders of my 9 a.m. appointment today, March 31, 2025. Their employee showed up at 10 a.m., while I was about to back out of my garage. He got out of his car and had the nerve to blame it on me and told me that we could reschedule. He said he would not drive 45 minutes to an appointment if the client is not home. He claimed that I hung up on him when I called. First of all, he called me at 8:50 a.m. If the drive were 45 minutes, he should have called me at 8 a.m. Nevertheless, I texted the number they used for sending me my appointment reminder. I stated "The appointment is at 9. It's already 9:12." He responded "Good morning! i just called and you hung up on me." I texted back, "No one spoke. I said hello twice. I get a lot of telemarketing calls." At 9:23, he called me. He said again that I hung up on him. I told him what I said in the text. I told him too that I have to leave at 10. He said would be done taking measurements (of our patio area) before 10. I said okay. That was the last I heard from him. He just showed up at 10 a.m. with his electronic device, but without manners. read more

Mike and Froy and the crew are great! I am more than pleased with the professionalism and finished product. I got turf and Arizona river rock and they removed all the wood mulch and plants that were there before. They also fixed the side that was damaged by the tractor digging my pool before putting down the rock. In November 2021, HDT walked our neighborhood and knocked on the door. They were charming and knowledgeable--they even had a talented magician with them. We were intrigued by what they offered and love supporting local small businesses. They gave us a quote quickly and let us know they could start the project within a week, and our turf and retaining wall project would only take 1-3 days. They were really eager to make the deal (even visiting our home on the weekend after hours), and this made me a little nervous. Still, I figured they just wanted to complete the project before the holiday and possibly that they valued customer service and satisfaction--this turned out not to be the case. Things started reasonably well, they were on schedule and professional, but there were some red flags. The first was that the crew covered all of my drains with dirt until I reminded them that we had preexisting drainage, and the second was that Mike kept "forgetting" to provide us with the layout sketch for our HOA. When we did receive it, it was subpar and looked as if a middle school math student completed it. We were initially satisfied with the time to completion and look despite those minor challenges. However, my husband noticed that they had forgotten to backfill the retaining wall. This is an essential step to ensure the stability of the wall and a safety measure to stop the bricks from sliding, especially since our 2 and 4 year old would be playing in the backyard daily. My husband called to let them know. It took 3 weeks for us to get a response. They were blowing us off, not returning our calls or text messages. Froy and Mike committed to two days to fix the job and didn't show. When they finally showed up, they literally poured pounds of rocks behind one portion of the wall with no dirt to pack it in and left the remaining unfinished. I let them know the job was still incomplete before they left, and the landscapers responded with much attitude. Mike promised to come to our home right away with dirt to complete the job, and we've never heard from them again. Except that their workers rang our doorbell at 9 pm because they left their personal items in our back yard. Yes, a MESS! Long story short, my husband is completing our backfills. After we paid nearly 10k for the job. The bricks shifted due to the heavy rain and also cause LARGE puddles due to improper drainage behind the wall!! Its been 3 months, still no word. I'd advise you to take your money somewhere else where it will be valued. Once they get their money, their job is done. They don't care about the quality of the job or building a loyal customer base. Their philosophy is quick money in at all costs. We will be using another company to finish our remaining landscaping projects. Companies like this give small businesses a BAD name. There are a couple on 1-star reviews that mention problems with a retaining wall. My problem is with a retaining wall, as well. They did a good enough job with the artificial grass. That's their specialty. I'm not sure they did the concrete work right; my neighbor said runoff from the last rain flowed into their yard and there should have been drains. I need to get an expert out here to see if the concrete was done properly. But the horrible wall. It was supposed to be 12'x10'. Well, that is what they cut out and poured that size slab, but they didn't account for the thickness of the blocks, so our inside width was too short to fit the pergola and hot tub and have room to walk around it. So they dug the dirt out of the left side, but the blocks when stacked shift to the side with each level, leaving an ugly V-shaped gap between the cinder block wall and the pavestone blocks. I have no idea how to make this look good. Anyway, the one worker showed up over 2 weeks ago, worked part of the day on the left side, said either he or another worker would be back the following Monday. No one showed. I have heard nothing from the company since. At this point I do not want them to try to finish the job. They don't seem to have the experience/expertise to do this correctly. I need to find someone else to see if this can be salvaged, hopefully without demolishing the POS and doing it over. read more

I called in the morning to get a quote and Mike came out and measured, he gave me a quote right then and there. I told him let me think about it and I'll get back to him, he was very professional very nice and made me feel very comfortable he explained everything to me. After Mike left I thought about it, I checked yelp looked at all the great reviews and I decided to go with them. I called Mike and ask how soon can they start. He said tomorrow I'm like you're kidding he said no I can have everything done by tomorrow. I said OK let's do it. The next morning the workers came out and everyone of them were very professional. Mid day Mike stoped by to see how the job was going, I was able to ask him more questions and he answered everything I needed to know. Mike and all the workers are the best. They started the work and was done in the afternoon. They cleaned everything up and it looks like nobody was even here. I am changing my first review because of incidents that have happened since. Mike was great initially and spent time trying to understand what I wanted the backyard to be. There was a pad that had pavers that I hated that I wanted upgraded and I was told him I told that I would be given samples to choose from. He quoted the job at 1-2 days and time didn't matter to me. On the start day of the job they showed up with pavers that were the same as I has but bigger and not decorative. Mike acted clueless as if we had never had the conversation. I had to spend hours finding decorative pavers for them to get. I dismissed that because everyone was nice. the job took over a week to complete but no big deal for me but could tell it stressed Mike as they were supposed to be on another job as stated by Mike. They finished job and looked great except after pavers dried they had an awful white finish. I worked with mike and the other mike owner and they promised to fix over two months time. It is still not fixed. I spent $17000 on this. The biggest thing that pushed me to write this is that they left dangerous chemicals in my yard when I have a 3 and 4 year old. The last communication was that they would put chemlocals on the pavers to remove the white stains but I had no idea when they came beciase of no communication until I found my 3 year old playing with these tonight. Now don't get me wrong we supervise but our yard is extremedy kid safe so we let them be alone for a few minutes. I have been texting and calling with no response. Guess they got my money and are moving on. Be ware. i am hoping all this will be correctEd and will update here what happens. read more
