We stopped in here after going to Vintage Days. We had our pup with us and they're dog friendly so we decided to try them out. Our waitress was a sweetheart and very accomodating. She was a busy gal as they seemed a bit short-handed, and so the service time wasn't the fastest. We didn't mind though as we could tell she was busy and not just hanging out not doing her job. We sat outside in the back since we had the dog and it was a nice area with TV's and a full bar. The food was great, we both had sandwiches. The fried pickles and jalapenos are awesome and so fresh! When we're in the area again we'll def be back! And just a note regarding some of the other reviews on here for the same day we went: when you walk inside it is a very small space, so when anyone walks in people will look up, it's natural, so don't make this place sound like only locals are accepted here, that's not the case. We're not from there, we live an hour away. You're being over-sensitive for sure. There are ppl of all races and genders both working and patrons and no one made us feel unwelcome or like an outsider. Definitely give this place a try!

Absolutely amazing! The onion rings are the best I've had. Ever. Ever. The service was prompt. The food was delicious. The place is quaint and comfortable. The prices are tolerable and the restrooms are clean. I will leave my house and drive to this place just to eat here again. I do not live too close, but it is worth every mile!

We were visiting and decided to have lunch here on a Thursday. Their daily special on the wall included a BOGO steak burger so we ordered that, beef soup, chicken with small house salad, and chicken lettuce wraps. The burger and chicken were dry, the soup was flavorful but lukewarm, and the wraps were okay. It's a small dining area and small bar. The waiter was friendly and the food took awhile to come.

This is a delightful farm-to-table restaurant that instantly stole our hearts. With handcrafted cocktails, live music, and the ability to accommodate specialized dietary needs, this place had all the makings of a perfect dining experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting--romantic yet relaxed--with a well-stocked wine bar, a friendly staff, and a scratch-made menu that spoke volumes about their commitment to quality. The music and overall vibe were spot on. Not too loud, not too quiet -- just right to kick back, relax, and actually enjoy a conversation with the people you're with. That's something a lot of places miss, but they nailed it here. The atmosphere has a cool, easygoing energy that makes you want to stay awhile. It's the kind of place you can hang out, unwind, and just enjoy the moment without feeling rushed or crowded. I checked their website ahead of time and they had it on their menu, served iced or hot. I get there and the lady tells me it's only served cold and then just assumed I wanted espresso, thankfully she asked if I wanted extra before making it so that I could correct her. Then she makes it with ice?? Which I have to tell her absolutely not, especially considering I already said that o wanted it hot? She then handed me the remade drink saying, "hope you have a better day" as I go to leave... when the poor experience was the only negative thing to happen to me today. The taste of the chai and the overall setup of the place saved this from being a one star review. (Visit: 7/11/26 at 4pm)

It first operated as a stagecoach outpost & blacksmith shop. And it famously built the Tavern in Comal County during prohibition. It wasn't until the 1950s that a dance hall pavilion was added to the property. And while the tavern wasn't made famous through country songs, it remained a popular watering hole for the locals. Today, the new owners have helped revitalize the dance hall and brought about a renewed appreciation for this musical outpost. Some of the greatest singer/songwriters come to play at Devil's so be sure to check out the list of upcoming shows. So put Todd Snider in your playlist, check your GPS, and take a drive out to Fischer for a cold beer and great music! On a more personal note, I would love to see more listening room / storytelling type shows and album signing opportunities where artists can take advantage of the great acoustics and intimate space. Their solution: FREE BEER ALL WEEKEND. Now, it's impossible to give anything less than 5 stars when it's free! We indulged in 4 Pints & ordered food/tipped back heavily enough to compensate for the freebies. It's simply a beautiful workaround to stay open & stay relevant- plus, staff are still getting paid. We did both the smashburger and chicken sliders - 3 of each & all different styles ($15/ set) - @ $5/ ea, that was kind of high but more variety. The single sammie is definitely a better value. There's also a small indoor area if you need some air conditioning, but it isn't very big. One warning: the beer lines can get really long on weekends.
