Five of us girls met up here on Friday night at 6:30. We had the most attentive and friendly server. Three of us had arrived earlier and ordered already and our server came by to greet us two and take our drink order right away if we were ready. We were not so she gave us some time and came back. Throughout the night, she checked on us. At the end of the night, she offered to split all our checks and remembered everyone's orders and how to to accurately split the drinks. Each lady paid for an appetizer. The appetizers were all very good though I would say there are limited gluten free options. The girls shared the Tempura Cauliflower. It looked really good and apparently was also delicious but unfortunately not gluten free. The Charcuterie Board with cheese, salami, pepperoni, and smoked salmon was yummy, as were the brussel sprouts and chicken kabobs. The server said the marinade was not gluten free but I decided to eat it anyways. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well. I really liked the brussel sprouts too. The Dirty Martinis and Paper Plane were great. My friend had the Cucumber cocktail but opted for soda water instead of Sprite and she said it was really good. It looked pretty. The restaurant offers a nice vibe for hanging out and has a great selection of cocktails, wines, and food. I didn't get a chance to try an entree but I'm sure they are good. My friend never been here as well and we both decided to come for my bday. Best decision ever. I had the short rib and it was tender and mash potatoes was delicious. I would recommend this place. What a great spot! Rachel and I came here after an event and we were both pleasantly surprised. Tucked away in a little plaza out in Lakeway, this restaurants has a great ambiance and amazing food! When we showed up, I was immediately impressed with the decor. It was low lighting, and very aesthetic. The waiter said it's meant to have a downtown feel without actually being downtown, which was exactly the vibe I felt. I ordered the burger, which was DELICIOUS, it was cooked perfectly and had a yummy onion aioli that gave it a very nice flavor. Rachel got the veggie flatbread and a side salad (with a generous portion for a side). Overall, the food was absolutely great and the atmosphere was perfect. They also had some great music playing. This was my first time visiting The Gramercy since we recently moved to Lakeway. It's been on our radar for quite some time, and with my brother in town, we decided to give it a try on a Tuesday night. It was quite busy when we arrived, which immediately set a good mood. The energy inside was great, the decor is beautiful, and the whole space gives off 1920s Great Gatsby vibes. The bar scene looked lively, and plenty of guests seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were offered seating on one of the couches near the entrance but chose a more private table instead. Our server was pleasant and kind, though he appeared new. A few small things were missed. Our appetizer plates sat on the table for about 15 to 20 minutes before being cleared, and fresh utensils were not brought out. The wait time for drinks, appetizers, and our main courses was quite long. It felt like we were there close to two hours, with about 30 to 45 minutes between each course. I arrived starving, and unfortunately the long waits made me cranky and impatient and started to affect my appetite. When our drinks finally arrived, I ordered the seasonal apple cider margarita. I was hoping it would be festive and delicious, but it turned out to be very tangy and bitter and not quite the cozy, fall-inspired drink I had expected. My husband and brother did enjoy their drinks, though. The pork belly appetizer, which came highly recommended, was a mixed experience. I would give it a 10 out of 10 for flavor but a 5 out of 10 for texture. The burnt end was extremely tough to cut through, even with effort, and my knife was not strong enough. While it did taste good, it was not the most tender pork belly I have had. I have had versions that truly melt in your mouth, and this one was much chewier. The fried shrimp appetizer was a solid 7 out of 10. It tasted good, but it did not stand out or wow me. The presentation set higher expectations for the flavor than what came through, and the sauce did not feel particularly unique. For my entree, I ordered the hamburger. It was good and well prepared, but nothing especially memorable, just a solid, classic burger. My brother ordered the fish sandwich and absolutely loved his. We had the chance to speak with the owner, who was very kind and friendly. He is clearly passionate about his restaurant and genuinely wants to continue making it better, which I truly appreciate. I am glad we finally made it in to try The Gramercy. Overall, I would be willing to come back. I think it would be a great spot for weekday drinks, appetizers, or brunch, especially during a busy work week. Great little venue. Had a girls night for a friend's birthday. Atmosphere was nice. Mindy our server was fun and knowledgeable. Playlist was great. We had the bacon bites, Brussels sprouts & coconut shrimp for appetizers. We were served the cauliflower app by mistake, but that was quickly rectified. I had the barruta salad. Husband's favorite is the Boulevardier and mine is the Corpse Reviver BUT be warned, it is strong AF. Food is on the rich and heavier side, and a tad pricey (e.g., coconut shrimp was $18 for 5 pieces). I mostly go with the chef's rotating special, but have truly enjoyed everything I've tried here. We've been here off and on since they opened and I think it's time for a review. We like this place but there's still a few things to polish to get 5 stars from me. Tonight we started with the coconut shrimp, which had the right amount of breading and was crispy and tender, not chewy. The sauce was a bit sweeter than I like but still good. The Burrata could use a pinch of salt and the sweet potato purée seemed out of place, but all in all I'd order again just ask them to leave it off. Hubby liked the side salad, though he left a lot of tomatoes behind. The star was the braised short rib. (Which we shared) It was "fall off the bone" tender and beautifully seasoned. Way too much mashed potato, but the right amount of carrots and olive gremolata. The only real disappointment was the Daiqueri. IMHO, a Daiqueri is a combo of white rum and Agricole rhum. Theirs is white only (and not a good white rum) so it lacked depth and interest. I had 2 - one using Havanna and one using Cruzan. Neither was worth ordering again. There are better inexpensive rims out there! (Flora de Cana for example). Just sayin'! On the upside, they wait staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. They also have a nice outdoor patio that is dog friendly, with heaters and fans! They are close to us, and continue to evolve in a positive direction. You should give them a try! read more

Food - 3 - lots of apps are fried/unhealthy. Also if you're a vegetarian this place has not even one entree you can eat unless you eat fish/pescatarian. Forget eating here if you're vegan. There are some salads, it's just sad that if you're hungry you will only chew on some lettuce. Tried the cauliflower - its deep fried and basically tastes like donut holes. Tried the Brussels sprouts - but it has bacon and it's Brussel shavings but also super fried/oily/charred. I'd come back here with friends for drinks. Excellant, major change! I love the new look with book shelves with interesting decor. I can't imagine how this hard step of changing a bar this much in a short amount of time. Actually I am spending more time here. The bar booms after 9 pm. That's where fun party people emerge. Great for singles and couples, very impressed how the party music been selected it's perfect! My favorite drink is the smoked old fashioned, they have so many options to choose from and you can't really go wrong if you like the ingredients, my girlfriend enjoys the lakeside! Some key Entrées we enjoy are Shrimp and Grits, Gramercy Burger, Works Salad & Crispy Salmon! Starting April 30, 2023 they will be open on Sundays for Brunch!! We were invited to the soft opening brunch and I must say what I had didn't disappoint at all!! You have to wait until you get your food in order to get your drink just due to the local laws. We ordered 2 mimosas one passion fruit and one original they were so well made! For food, I had the Gramlette (Gramercy Omelette) and it was really good and flavorful! It came with some nice southwest breakfast potatoes and a mixed greens salad with Balsamic vinaigrette. I also ordered the French Toast and it's not your traditional it was an actual French baguette with bananas, salted Carmel sauce and powdered sugar, and it didn't disappoint at all. This is one of my favorite hidden gems! We are regulars to this restaurant. The owners and servers are very friendly! The ambiance is casual, chill, date night vibes. The decor is unique and I love it. I wish they could open another location near Austin/Domain area. Food: I love their apps: Buffalo and BBQ Wings, Pork Belly Bites, and Waffle Grilled Cheese with Bacon and Chicken. The entrees are great as well. I usually go for the Gramercy Burger or the Works Salad. I tried the braised Rib one time but it was too salty for me that particular day. Drinks: Their cocktail menu is fantastic too. The Lakeside is my favorite cocktail! If you love tequila and coconut you should try it! (1 will have you good for the night...but you know 2 won't hurt). Brunch: We were invited to the soft opening for their new Brunch menu. The brunch and drink menu had great choices to choose from. If you like mimosas these are fantastic! You have to order and receive your food first before getting your beverage. Food- I chose the Steak Benedict (medium well) and a side of pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy and pretty good. The Steak Benedict was not as flavorful as I thought and didn't come out to the temperature I requested but our waitress, Katie, came to the rescue. I was able to change it the the G Burger. This place was amazing. The decor was more than what we were expecting, so sultry. We came here for my birthday back in November. It was surprisingly good. It tasted like good home cooked food. We can't wait to go back. For the appetizer we had the Waffled Grilled Cheese. It was really good, we loved the tomato dipping sauce. I think our add ons were bacon and chicken. For our drinks we had a Moscow Mule, a Daiquiri, and a Paloma. All were really tasty. The gravy/sauce on the Chicken-Fried Chicken was so tasteful. The chicken had the perfect crunch. Fantastic spot that definitely stands out. I can't say there is much like it in the shopping center, let alone all of Lakeway, but I can't complain. It brings back the New York vibes. Once you walk in, you instantly feel transported back to the coast. Even with the massive inside/outside seating, they still keep the ambiance throughout. We came here after work the first time and sat at the bar height table at the edge of the patio. It was perfect since you didn't get too much sun but still get plenty of fresh air. We ordered the wings, cauliflower, pork bites and burger. Every dish was fantastic and had plenty of food to leave feeling satisfied. They also put a lot of effort into their cocktails and mocktails (some a bit too crazy for me though). Overall, this place is great and a wonderful addition to the Lakeway dinner scene. They also have a pretty good happy hour if you are in the area. The charcuterie board we got came with 4 tiny pieces of toast (one slice of toast cut into 4 pieces. No crackers either!) When we asked for more toast they charged us $2.50 for a piece of toast cut into 4 pieces. There wasn't much on the charcuterie board either. For $23 we expected a more significant charcuterie board. The fish and chips special was delicious, but $18. Pork belly is 4 small pieces for $11. Just can't justify eating here. Maybe just come for cocktails. Wonderful addition to Lakeway. The first thing you get is the stunning decor, which is a modern Art Deco. Really outstanding. Geamercy follows the 1920s style with classic B&W films on the large TVs and the music. Although the music was a bit tyring after some time. Their service is outstanding. The menu is short but has very good options. Of course there was a broad selection of cocktails, beer, and wine. We had the chicken , NY Strip steak, and burger. Not bad but not outstanding. You probably won't come here for the food, but if you are looking for a unique bar with great ambiance, this is one of the top five spots in Austin. read more

What a great addition to Lakeway! The Gramercy is a very cozy little restaurant in The Oaks shopping center (in the spot formerly occupied by McArthur's, across from Vivelle Crepes and the new La Quinta Hotel). The ambience is perfect for a date night or a nice night out with friends. There's a full bar and also some covered outdoor seating with heat lamps. The restaurant is not very big so if you go on a Friday or Saturday night at prime time there might be a slight wait for a table. We were a group of six. The guys all ordered the steak frites. The steak was very high quality and cooked perfectly. My husband is very picky about steaks and he gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up. The fries were nice and crispy, tasted like they were made in house from actual potatoes. The guys were all very happy with their meals. Someone ordered the green salad which was enormous. Another person ordered the crispy cauliflower appetizer which was also huge. The cauliflower was batter-dipped and deep fried, so if you're looking for a low calorie veggie option, this is not it. I got the the brick chicken (two large thighs). It was delicious. I ate one and took the other one home. If you are a fan of dark meat, this is the dish for you. I would definitely order it again. The service was perfect. We were impressed with how smoothly everything went, given that the restaurant had only been open for a few weeks at the time we were there. The drinks came out first, then the appetizer and salad and then all the entrees. The meal was well paced and the servers were there with drink refills and checked on us frequently. My entree was wah wah...ordered the NY strip steak, medium rare and it came with house steak sauce, brocollini and risotto. They tried to smother the steak in the steak sauce to cover up the fact that they didnt know how to a cook steak to save their lives. That NY strip had zero sear, and the fat cap was not even rendered. If i'm being honest it looked like it was cooked in the microwave or oven and didnt even hit a hot pan. Also, if you're going to mask a bad steak with sauce...at least let it be a good sauce. It was just salty and had no depth of flavor. The only saving grace was the risotto, which was really nice actually and the brocollini was cooked well. If i only rated on this dish, easily 1-2 stars. The 2 stars here are for both service and the Brussel sprouts which were actually quite tasty. The good of this place is that the servers were friendly, the food was out promptly, and the appetizer was quite tasty. But unfortunately it stops there. The food was all cooked well (tender meat, fall apart short rib, etc.), but it was remarkably underseasoned across the board. It was so bland that it seemed like that they'd just forgotten to salt it. Maybe it was just a one off but ALL of our dishes were like this. We had their strawberry dessert which was fine, but too boozy imo. The cake also gets soggy very fast. This place is wonderful and has the winning combination of beautiful atmosphere with quality drinks and delicious food. I was impressed from beginning to end. As soon as we walked in, we felt the good vibes from the upscale decor to the friendly hostess. I tried 3 different cocktails and loved every single one of them - Raspberry Beret, Mountain Flower and Lakeside, each one crafted to perfection. Now let's talk about the real standout here which is the food. This is not your typical bar food. Everything we tried was delicious. Pork belly sliders were so tender and flavorful, NY strip perfectly prepared and the Shrimp and Grits were awesome. Also recommend trying the Cauliflower appetizer and the dessert was a nice light ending to the fabulous meal. Came here on a Sunday Brunch expecting this place to be packed with all the good things I've heard. Wrong. Saw our server 3 times. My wife and I only had 1 drink each. Not because we didn't want more but because we NEVER saw our server again until the food came. Waters stayed empty through the entire visit.
