This place is a little hidden gem. The check in was great. Owner extremely friendly and takes time to show you to your accommodations. This place is very peaceful and quite away from town and the busy overbooked best western type of places in the area. This place is a must try in the area with an extremely reasonable price. Will be a return customer no doubt about it.

Neat little cabin to stay in that is more secluded and less touristy than staying next to Yosemite. Laura and her husband were very nice and greeted us upon check-in and showed us around our cabin. We also appreciated the muffins/fruit left in our cabin each day. We packed these and took them on our hike to the park! It was also nice having an outside grill since we wanted to eat at the cabin and relax after a long day of exploring. My only complaints are: 1. The bed is hard and the pillows are extremely uncomfortable. 2. The creamer packs left in the coffee basket were all old and it was chunky. Enjoyed our stay! We might would like staying closer to the park next time though. To get to Yosemite Valley from the cabin took us almost 2 hours.

Let's start with something positive, since I only have single star to give them, that too only for cleanliness. Yes, I am giving them single star since our room was well cleaned and get very fresh as well. We made reservation through Expedia and paid over $400 for 2 nights stay. When we made reservation, we were under the impression that we will be getting a cottage with some privacy and some outdoor place to sit and relax. I was highly disappointed upon check in since our "Air-BnB" was upstairs the office/ registration. Yes, I am calling it Airbnb since it was just a room with furnished kitchen and non working gas/stove. After the reservation was done via Expedia, I did receive an email with pic of cottage, but it wasn't something I was promised during reservation. There was no place for us to sit outside, there was no patio or door or even a window with a view. This was highly disappointing. I did spoke with the owner at the property and all I was suggested is to call Expedia. We check in with a 5 year old. During reservation, we notice they provide roll away bed for no charge, upon arrival we were forced to pay additional charge for roll away bed for 5 year old. Our plan was to visit Yosemite and relax by the property since it has got some great views. Upon checkin we were so disappointed that we decided to change our plan and just come back to sleep. Attached here are the pictures of the window we had in our room and another picture of the place at the backside of the property to sit. At last I would like to say, I tried to clarify things during my stay both with the owner and son and each time rather than fixing the situation, I was suggested to pay more and upgrade. Highly disappointed and definitely not coming back or refer anyone as well.

Found this place on Yelp first, then cross referenced with expedia. It was really pretty. The setting was super romantic, little tiny houses that were private and separated by trees. Imagine 6-8 little houses and you get your own, oh yeah they're called cottages ;). I spotted a deer on the property thought it was a fake rushed it and it ran away, it was real! There is a grocery store about 10 minutes away so you can buy stuff to cook. They have an outside bbq you can use too! My only annoyance was that the fan in our room squeaked, but I can deal. I'm hardcore like that. Whoever was answering the phone was very very nice, and helped us find the place when the gps sent a few miles off course. It's about 30mins-1hr from hiking in Yosemite.

Awesome cottages. We six friends stayed at this beautiful place, while we visited Yosemite Valley. We were really impressed by the cleanliness, service. The care taker Laura is very helpful and nice person. She also helped us finding good near by locations to visit. It's located about about 20 minutes outside the south side entrance to the park so it's convenient. Surrounded by natures beauty you will really enjoy your time there. We highly recommend this place to stay.

It's a very nice and comfortable cabin. They refill milk, hot chocolate powder, coffee, oatmeal, apples and muffins everyday:). Cindy and Larry are very nice eventhough my hubby and I were check in late because of the traffic, they still come to office to assist my hubby and I. We can see the beautiful sky with stars at our parking lots. I will definitely recommend this cabin to my families and friends.

I have been there on last week. I felt so great. I happened more unhappy things recently. I had more pressure. I went there with my friends. It was so peaceful surrounded environment. I felt so relaxed. I liked it!

I hurriedly secured a weekend at this B&B through Expedia based on amenities and proximity to the park entrances (30 min. to either the south or the west entrance through El Portal). As a big yelper I was surprised I didn't check/read here first and booked trusting Expedia's reviews. I was so delighted to find out it had 5 solid stars! This inn is tucked off a small highway in Ahwahnee and has 6 very different units, each with little extras. I loved our Half Dome room - we had our own private entrance, parking spot, and a jetted bathtub. There were stairs which I knew would be a struggle after some hiking, but it was so worth it. Also had a small deck. First amazing surprise was a greeting by the very sweet Inn cat Buster. The breakfast deserves its own paragraph. Very beautifully presented, delicious, an ample amount and you get two time options which made planning our park visits easier. Speaking of which, I love that if you're planning to do an early hike you can ask for your breakfast to be packed in advance. We got a lunch bag where our host drew Half Dome with a John Muir quote (so cute! I kept it :)) filled with fruits and granola. We also got different chocolates after housekeeping tended our room each afternoon. Our final morning we got a puffy pancake with fruit, yogurt, and bacon. Sherilee was so kind and offered us extra bacon. After our meal, the other friendly cat Hank came and sat on my lap for a while. It was great! There is a real family / warm / cozy vibe here. The grounds are awesome. Quiet, natural landscape. A really nice pagoda where a party of 6 could come chill and has an overhead fan, lights, and outlets. Pool and jacuzzi with lights and AMAZING jets (best I've been in?) open until 10pm. Beside the lodge is a beautiful outdoor fireplace next to a grill. The lodge itself is free to use anytime and they have a ton of movies and games, large table, really comfortable couches and always the perfect room temperature. They also have deet, sunscreen, cookies, and a basket with some poles you can borrow. Overall we felt so welcomed and very well cared for. Got more than expected and was nice to come back to this place after hiking in the park. Will definitely be recommending this place and hope to return.

As this was a weeknight stop on our California road trip, I still needed internet access for my job. We stayed in the Country Rose room, and while the bedroom was small, the bathroom was spacious, and this was all we needed for one night. We ended up stopping for dinner before arriving, which pushed back our check-in later than I had initially thought. The host was great with quick responses to my updates! We were advised on where to find our entry info & had no problems. Though it was only around 9pm when we arrived, we didn't see anyone that night. Our room was in the back, through the house with a separate entrance from the deck. Just outside of our door was a patio table with a couple of chairs; this is where I did my work that night, under the stars, and also the next morning. Internet was fine there & I enjoyed working outdoors in mid-May. The bedroom itself was small & rather stuffy, but we opened the windows because they had screens, and we were comfortable all night. My only gripe about our room was a lack of pillows, as we only had one for each of us. But, since it was late, I made zero effort to see if any extras were available in the main house. Our in-suite bathroom was huge & included a mini-fridge. The shower was in a ginormous garden tub with an awkward climb-in entry, but served its purpose. We had been provided plenty of towels, as well as a hair dryer. The next morning, we were able to better appreciate our surroundings. The deck was elevated & spanned the entire back of the house, with several seating areas in addition to the one outside of our room. Down the steps was a pool (though closed), and a small landscaped yard. We could see the mountains from the deck, and wildlife including wild turkeys ran through the yard. We also enjoyed a huge freshly-made breakfast that morning. I wish I remembered her name, but the cook was very friendly & helpful with local tips. The inside dining table was large, and we were able to meet some of the other guests while we dined on the spread of varied breakfast items. The location was indeed perfect for visiting Yosemite, but this area seemed to also offer a lot more to do & see outside of the park. Lack of time aside, our one-night stay at A Bed of Roses in mid-May 2022 was great, and I'd definitely stay here again.

Additionally, the community-style breakfast table offers an opportunity to visit with people from around the world. This bed and breakfast is the perfect setting for writing and reading as it is peaceful, comfortable, full of charm and has lovely views. There was sights of deers, butterflies, and many other creatures to see. The balcony also had comfy rocking chairs which gives a homey feeling. For breakfast there was only a bagel or pastry nothing else. If you're driving there are many restaurants and food places in the towns an hour before B&B inn, but after passing Oakhurst town there will be far drives to be able to go to marts or other food places.

The room we had was the Mariposa room and it was beautiful and large! We were amazed as everything looked clean and there were 2 bathrooms(one had the shower and the other had the toilet). Please make sure to read ALL of the rules that are in BOTH bathrooms that are hanging on the wall(one of them is right near the toilet and the other is in the other bathroom near the hair dryer). Pamela had also greeted us and told us about the continental breakfast and that you are to eat it in your own room. She would later enter your room when you are not there to pick up the dishes. She was also helpful with any questions in regards to what to visit in Yosemite. We loved our private balcony and the view of the stream flowing by. Pamela surprised us by hauling up some rocking sitting chairs on the last night of our stay onto the balcony. We enjoyed that very much and the peacefulness. We also enjoyed the fridge in the room but also wished there was a freezer as well as we had brought our own ice packs. Cons: As much as we did not mind Pamela coming into our room to get the breakfast dishes while we were gone, we did notice a few things that felt odd. First, she took our used shower towels that was hanging on the inside of the horseshoe rack and rehung it on top of the horseshoe rack holder. She even took out the squishy non-slip padding in the shower and rehung it. She made our beds(though we could of sworn that one of the rules was that there was NOT going to be any room cleaning, etc. She took some of our other towels that we had used and replaced it with others(which was fine). BUT, she THREW AWAY my small styrofoam cup that I had left nicely on the sink counter. I had brought it from home and had used it to rinse my mouth after brushing my teeth. Who does that?? Who throws away someone else's things? I was very upset and it kind of made our stay there less enjoyable knowing that someone had gone through your stuff. Overall, it is a nice place to stay with a nice room and view but think about items that belong to you and what things you wouldn't want anyone to touch or throw away. We also suggest you bring your own food as there isn't really a place to eat at except for a place slightly down the street that sells sandwiches(it was good) or at the expensive restaurant at the hotel down the street. If you don't bring your own food, you would need to drive ALL the way back down the windy road into town.

Our hosts were fantastic, the room (top floor) was HUGE & definitely cool- even on a 95 degree day (those other reviews are ridiculous- Liz had no issues keeping us comfortable- in both AC use & shade for breakfast). On the last day of our trip the YART busses didn't show up for our trip back & Ron rescued us from the park late at night (we were literally stranded in Yosemite). I will say If you are in your 20s, looking to party this isn't the place for you. If you are a recluse not wanting to socialize, this isn't the place for you. There is a lot of wildlife (deer, birds, turkeys and bats at night) on the surrounding grounds that are made to feel welcomed and provide such enjoyable entertainment it was a must to sit on the back deck each night. Our room was clean and kept nice and cool for us as we visited in the month of July when it was in the mid 80-90's. After a day of exploring Yosemite that was a comforting touch. Breakfast was outstanding with everything homemade and served so nicely by the bay window in the kitchen. Trays of bird seed on the deck beckoned woodpeckers to finches. Many hummingbirds were also seen daily. Needless to say we really enjoyed our time here and will come again and recommend staying here to all who visit the area.

All the rooms have well equipped bathrooms and private outside doors. The room was very comfortable and included a coffee maker with coffee, a hot pot with teas/hot chocolate, bottled waters, a small refrigerator, Wi-Fi, and satellite TV. Oh, and a pool to cool off in. Bonus if you are traveling with children. The grounds are well taken care of and I found it to be a great setting to sit with my morning cup of coffee and read a good book while awaiting our lovely 9am full American style breakfast, prepared by Joy. Served on fine china. If you're planning on visiting Yosemite, as several other guests were doing, it's only about a 40 minute drive to the entrance of the park. I imagine after spending the day seeing the sights at this beautiful yet tourist packed park, coming back to Yosemite Bed and Breakfast, would be a very welcoming place to chill. There is a barbecue to grill up dinner, or you can drive back to town (Mariposa), about 10 minutes, and have dinner at several restaurants. We like the pizza at The Pizza Factory. Maybe pick one up on you're way back from the park. Clay and Joy, themselves, have frequented many bed and breakfasts in their travels and have taken the best from their experiences and turned it to Yosemite Bed and Breakfast. As I said to Clay as we were reluctantly heading back to the SF Bay Area, I wouldn't change a thing.
