As soon as I secured a prime weekend peak hours pass to Yosemite, there weren't many options left as far as accommodations. I hurriedly secured a weekend at this B&B through Expedia based on amenities and proximity to the park entrances (30 min. to either the south or the west entrance through El Portal). As a big yelper I was surprised I didn't check/read here first and booked trusting Expedia's reviews. I was so delighted to find out it had 5 solid stars! This inn is tucked off a small highway in Ahwahnee and has 6 very different units, each with little extras. I loved our Half Dome room - we had our own private entrance, parking spot, and a jetted bathtub. There were stairs which I knew would be a struggle after some hiking, but it was so worth it. Also had a small deck. First amazing surprise was a greeting by the very sweet Inn cat Buster. The breakfast deserves its own paragraph. Very beautifully presented, delicious, an ample amount and you get two time options which made planning our park visits easier. Speaking of which, I love that if you're planning to do an early hike you can ask for your breakfast to be packed in advance. We got a lunch bag where our host drew Half Dome with a John Muir quote (so cute! I kept it :)) filled with fruits and granola. We also got different chocolates after housekeeping tended our room each afternoon. Our final morning we got a puffy pancake with fruit, yogurt, and bacon. Sherilee was so kind and offered us extra bacon. After our meal, the other friendly cat Hank came and sat on my lap for a while. It was great! There is a real family / warm / cozy vibe here. The grounds are awesome. Quiet, natural landscape. A really nice pagoda where a party of 6 could come chill and has an overhead fan, lights, and outlets. Pool and jacuzzi with lights and AMAZING jets (best I've been in?) open until 10pm. Beside the lodge is a beautiful outdoor fireplace next to a grill. The lodge itself is free to use anytime and they have a ton of movies and games, large table, really comfortable couches and always the perfect room temperature. They also have deet, sunscreen, cookies, and a basket with some poles you can borrow. Overall we felt so welcomed and very well cared for. Got more than expected and was nice to come back to this place after hiking in the park. Will definitely be recommending this place and hope to return. read more

All the great things you read are true! Shari is an amazing host. The property offers so much. We stayed away from main building. There was so much privacy. The rooms are well appointed with everything you need. There's also a pool and hot tub which surprised me for a b & b. You get different breakfasts daily. Note for first time Yosemite people it is one hour and half to Valley. Neighboring Oakhurst has restaurants which was the route we went. Stayed at this B&B for a couple of days as we were going to a Jazz Concert. Both Sherilee and Naquoia were great. Sherilee the owner was so friendly and helpful. We had two home cooked breakfasts. One a veggie with eggs, muffin and fruit the other French toast with macadamia nuts and I believe a streusel topping, with sausage and fruit. Of course plenty of good coffee, juice and assortment of teas. She also had homemade cookies. Our room was very pleasant, king bed, TV, nice place to hand your clothes. Had a small kitchen, with table/chairs, refrigerator, microwave and a toaster oven. Bathroom a nice size, only drawback if you were a large person the shower would be too tight. Beautiful grounds with a pool and spa. One night we sat outside and had a nice glass of wine. Centrally located near Yosemite, Mariposa and Oakhurst. read more

I realize about 99.9% of the people who stay here go to Yosemite as their destination. Our Bunko group uses this Inn as our destination. Once here, I do NOT want to leave! If you need to get away for a couple of days... THIS IS THE PLACE! How often do you have time to read a book, make a puzzle, or play a game? There is nothing but time and beautiful nature to just relax. It was so quiet that I never heard a car. The weather was perfect; rained one day so it was cozy to make a puzzle and drink hot chocolate and was sunny the next day which was perfect weather to be outside reading a book on the huge swing! The hospitality here is exceptional! From our check in to check out, Sherilee was great. Upon check in she came over with a destination map and pointed out some hikes that were best for the time of year at Yosemite. We wanted to get an early start to the next day, which meant missing the hot breakfast, so she just gave us the continental breakfast the night before so we don't go without it (two muffins and a granola bar.) The next two days we did get to eat breakfast, and it was delicious; Sherilee and her mom make a great team in the kitchen. Cheese souffle the first day and baked raspberry Pancake the next. We spent a while talking to her over breakfast and it felt like she was there with us instead of being the host. Also, the best part -there's cats roaming the property available to be pet at any time of the day you catch them outside! This is the perfect place for cat lovers. The location wasn't ideal when going to Yosemite, but unless you're staying in the park or right at the entrance you're not going to find anything much closer for a reasonable price. I found that the place could be a little cleaner too. I went to hang up my towel on the bathroom door and it was gross in the depressed areas, filled with gunk. Good thing I had my lysol wipes, I cleaned the door, for myself and the next person. Everything else seemed decent. I'm also overly clean so typical standards of clean are not the same as my standards, but the door was a different story, definitely gross. The whole inn was really cozy as well. The lobby felt like somebody's living room, and the patio outside was nice as well. The pool is small but enough to get some laps in since there's not too many guests staying at the same time. I had the pool to myself most days, same with the hot tub. Overall a great place, don't hesitate to book! read more

Exceptional B&B. Peaceful. Surrounded by nature with mountain views. Great price. Clean updated rooms with all the amenities and comfortable beds. You can have coffee & watch the sun come up in the gazebo. After a day of hiking you can swim in the pool or lounge in the hot tub with a glass of wine or both! Breakfast was amazing and cooked fresh daily by the owner & will even pack you a to go breakfast if you want to get started hiking early. Complimentary fresh baked cookies in the lodge. Sherilee hikes in Yosemite and will give you a guidebook with trail suggestions or any other info. Fishcamp is 30 min drive. Yosemite Valley is 90 min drive, go early to beat the crowds! Oakhurst is 10 min drive and has great restaurants and shops. If you have time, check out Forestiere Underground Gardens, only about an hour away and super interesting. One of the best B&B's I have ever stayed at, you won't be disappointed. read more

This is one of the best B&B stay that I ever experienced. We stayed here for four nights not expecting anything. I saw the cleanliness and the distance of the place from Yosemite so we decided to book this place. When we arrived, we were welcomed by Sherilee. She was so nice and welcoming, always trying to help us, giving us maps and suggestions on where to go. I cannot remember having met someone who is truly warm and hospitable. Her food was amazingly delicious. It kept us full all day long as we did our activities at the park. I love her freshly baked banana muffins. We used the bbq grill and the jacuzzi, it was refreshing after a whole day of hiking. All in all, it was a great experience. Thank you Sherille and Kathy for looking after your guests. We liked this place so much we came back !! First stayed in March and then after Yosemite reopened, we figured why not come back !? Sherilee is a warm , helpful, welcoming host. We truly felt right at home during both of our stays. Our room- Clouds Rest- is a perfect size, with a large bathroom and lovely deck overlooking the hills. Absolutely amazing place to stay! Hot tub was right outside our room, a homemade breakfast every morning and the owners gave us advice on navigating Yosemite. Our room had a fridge and microwave which was great to use. They also had three outdoor cats which were the cherry on top because they were so sweet. My friends and I had a fantastic experience here. It's a great jumping off point to touring Yosemite and the surrounding area. The accommodations and setting are top-notch and completely unlike you might get at another location. Spanking clean, each room offers a relaxing, comfortable and pleasant experience well above expectations. The main log cabin house/lodge is a one of a kind unique building where folks can relax and/or interact. Composed of huge log timber and stately stone floor, it offers modern features on a scale of monumental mountain architecture. There are also smaller buildings with rooms. AND, there is a lavish lower addition of several suites that are being built down the hill several hundred feet offering a 'world class' experience. The inn-keeper and family are friendly, personable and go out of their way in making you feel welcome. Don't get me started on how good the food was! Our wedding gift to our son and his new bride was a few nights at a B&B for their honeymoon. They got married in Fresno and only had a long weekend off from work so didn't want to spend too much time travelling. I researched many places in the area and really like what Nature's Inn had to offer: privacy, romance, beautiful location, and good reviews. They were thrilled! The innkeeper was so sweet about everything, allowing me to pay for the entire weekend over the phone so the kids didn't have to worry about cost, offering to provide extras like champagne, flowers, or chocolates, emailing directions for them to get in after hours, and giving them the choice of regular breakfast or a private in-room basket since they were getting in late. The newlyweds said it was perfect. They had a quiet upstairs suite with a soaking tub, a private deck, the freedom to come and go or just chill and relax. Stayed here near Memorial Day and it was so amazing! The location is great, didn't take too long to get into Yosemite Valley, and the breakfast was just incredible! Stayed two nights and had croissant french toast and this delicious egg souffle. Fresh fruit, homemade muffins, and coffee. The rooms were great and there was an outdoor jacuzzi too! I found this bed and breakfast on Expedia and is hands down my favorite place I've ever stayed. The b&b itself is absolutely adorable. The rooms are cute and the amenities are great. It is close to town and is an easy place to stay if traveling to Yosemite. The owners really make this place above and beyond! We were greeted by the friendliest person I've ever met. She showed us around the area and even gave us tips for hiking Yosemite. The breakfasts in the morning were home cooked and amazingly good. She even took into consideration dietary preferences. I recently stayed here for three days and loved our stay. We had a gorgeous view and stayed in the clouds rest room that faces Yosemite (sunrise is stunning). The breakfast was delicious and felt like a restaurant as they make many items from their garden. Along with that, there were plenty of options for guests to eat after a long hike or a little to-go snack. I would give a heads-up to the inn when scheduling if you are allergic to cats as there are cats at the inn. Personally, I love cats and they were extremely friendly. The only thing I wish I could have changed was the location as the drive seemed a little long especially after hiking all day. Overall it was amazing and would stay again! read more

This inn is more than awesome! The host Sherilee and her mother are the best hosts I have ever met. First of all, the inn itself was very clean and new. Our room was clean and tidy. Bedding, towels, kitchen ware etc were all new and pretty. Breakfast was yummy, and healthy. The hosts were very good chef and made sure we did not starve before our hike in Yosemite. I liked their breakfast so much and Sherilee printed out the recipe for me. She is so sweet! Sherilee was very informative regarding good trails to spot bears. And my fiance and I spotted 9 bears because of Sherilee's suggestions! The hosts also lent hiking gears and DVDs for entertainment. We had the most amazing weekend in Yosemite while staying at Nature's Inn B&B. We stayed in the El Capitan cottage and it was spacious and comfortable for my family of 5. I definitely recommend this bed and breakfast. It is the only place I have stayed that I returned a second time for pleasure. It has 5 stars on Tripadvisor and Expedia. It definitely earns its ratings. The two owners are very friendly and pleasant. They greeted me as soon as I arrived and showed me to my room. The inn has the look of log cabins. The rooms are comfortable and look great. You also have a kitchen and a refrigerator. The beds are the best I have ever slept on while travelling. They are very firm and I slept like a baby. The wireless internet is strong as I had no problem connecting. The only slight criticism I had was the showers were small in the Vernal Falls Room so it was difficult for me to turn since I am not a small person. When I stayed with my friends in the El Capitan suite, the shower was much bigger and comfortable. The inn is also close to the west and south entrances at about a 20 minute drive to either entrance. Of course, it still takes 90 minutes to get to the Visitor's Center since it is a long drive once you are in the park. The breakfast at the inn is amazing. It was definitely the best food I ate near Yosemite. In 2014, my favorite breakfast was the puffed pancake and bacon I had on my first day. It gave me the energy I needed to get through the ensuing monster hike. They served an egg soufflé with fruit on the second day of my stay. On the third day, they served a fruit French toast with sausages on my final day. Everything tasted incredible. They offered seconds but I was full with just one serving. On my return trip in 2016, the food was even better. They served the egg soufflé again on the first day. The accompanying muffins were ridiculously good. I found some room and took up their offers for seconds and thirds. On the second day, the macadamia nut French toast blew all of the other dishes away. I have never seen or eaten anything like it. The macadamia nut crust was perfect and immaculate. Naturally, I could not say yes fast enough when I was asked whether I wanted seconds. This is the best bed and breakfast! Seriously stay here during your next trip to Yosemite. My husband and I stayed in the half dome room and it was perfect. Big enough for both of us yet still maintaining a cozy feel. We even stayed an extra night because we loved it so much. Room was immaculate, super clean, and comfortable. The drive into Yosemite wasn't bad either. Also the breakfast was amazing and super filling! Sherilee is the best host, she gave us helpful tips for navigating the park, dinner recommendations, and even helped us with directions for the next leg of our trip! Came across this Bed & Breakfast while searching for a place to stay for a weekend getaway near Yosemite and I am glad it was this one! Sherilee was absolutely amazing from the start--she made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the "Vernal Falls" room and it was lovely. We were a few feet away from the hotub, pool, and backyard. We arrived at night so we had no idea what to expect the following morning and wow was it amazing. We opted for the 8:30am breakfast and that, paired with the view (you can sit outside if you desire), was incredible. We got pretty lucky with the weather being that it was February, but I imagine it is beautiful no matter the weather. The food (both days) was perfect, just the right amount and very thoughtful (veggie omelet one day and macadamia nut french toast the next). We headed into Yosemite that day with a few recommendations from Sherilee that would result in an unforgettable day in the park. She told us to try and catch the rare Firefall (the weather and time of year has to be just right to catch this) at sunset and we are so glad we took her word for it. We had never even heard of it and wouldn't have known to check it out if it wasn't for Sherilee. We found the spot just in time and got to witness something that only happens around the second week of February--how lucky were we! That evening we had a slight misunderstanding at a restaurant we had reservations for and needed a last minute reference for another place. We tried searching online but had no luck and so we had to call Sherilee as much as we didn't want to bother her. She answered very sweetly and was able to steer us to a local dive bar (The Hitchin' Post) that served really good food late (probably only something the locals know about). Anyway! Before I make this too longwinded, it is rare to come across this kind of wonderful service and I don't want it to go unnoticed! I would absolutely recommend Nature's Inn. The Yosemite South Entrance is just a half hour drive from the Inn and the peace and quiet it provides after a hectic day at the park makes for an awesome balance Oh! And be sure to check out the Dirty Donkey while you're there. Another great local dive/biker bar. read more

Five of my girlfriends and I went on a weekend getaway. This Inn was amazing. Not only is it gorgeous, but it has a bunch of little getaway's on the property. There is a swing overlooking the mountains to sit and have a glass of wine. Or the outdoor living room complete with a massive fireplace. Or maybe sitting poolside is more your style. And a number of the rooms have beautiful patios. But the most breathtaking area is in the main lodge. It is a true lodge with big comfortable chairs. I sat in there with a cup of hot tea. Most of the rooms have refrigerators, and some have microwaves. A couple have kitchens. We stayed in the two bedroom suite and a single room in the main lodge. It was a fabulous little getaway. I can't wait to return with my husband. While it was a fabulous weekend with the girls, this place screams romance. So we will be back. read more
