Homestead was recommended by a friend and I will be doing the same moving forward. Alex came out on short notice gave a quote, beat the competitors price and installed a new compressor (Rudy and Ruben) for the AC unit. After wasting a day and half with other companies waiting on parts or no showing were should have called them from the beginning. They were professional, polite and easy to deal with. Highly recommend them!

We had an old HVAC system on its last legs. After consulting with three different contractors we chose Homestead because they offered a comprehensive upgrade of the entire system at a competitive price and with the best warranty. Alex and Jeff were a real pleasure to work with and provided a comprehensive overview of our system and the proposed upgrade. (The presentation included a personalized video and a 3D model to help us understand our system and how we could improve it.) Rudy and Rueben entirely replaced our HVAC system in my one story home in a single business day. The quality of their work is superior to the builder basic system that they replaced, and I feel that the value of my home has taken a big step upwards in a single day. (plus we have cool air!) Highly recommend speaking to this company if you find yourself in a similar position!

House was built in 1999, and definitely was stuggling in the summer like most do. Plus I have been in the HVAC industy 23 years so I understand R values and the importance of insulation for efficiency standards. Wally came out to look everything over and take measurements. He recommended that we top off the existing Rockwall insulation with 10" of new blown-in Rockwool Premium Plus, resulting in a new R value of R-40+ as there was nothing wrong with the existing so no need to remove it. Two man team came a couple weeks later, very professional and quickly blew in the new insulation, let me take a look in the attic to make sure it looked good, cleaned up and left. Even came back a week or so later to install an attic hatch for even better efficiency. Martha was who I dealt with the most via text and phone. She's very timely and will keep up with everything to make sure all goes smoothly. Just all around a great experience which seems to be lacking these days with many companies. Highly recommend using Insulation Commandos. Very fair pricing and amazing customer service!

Considering the access they have to your house, it was important that everyone was trust-worthy, courteous, and passed the German Shepherd sniff test...all passed with flying colors. The crew did a great job sealing everything and making it look as pretty as it was effective. Their pricing was also extremely fair, literally coming in at half the price of at least one other competitor. I do not predict needing their service for many years, but when I do have an insulation issue, these guys will be the first call I make.

Chances are if you live in an older home not built up to today's building codes, and even if you…read moredo, the insulation & ventilation in your attic may not be up to par with the current standards. My home was built in the late '70s, and the previous homeowners did nothing to rid the home of its original rockwhool insulation. The minuscule 6-8" of insulation that was once in my attic was ridden with rodent feces/urine, turning to dust, and wasn't as effective as it once was. This not only caused my home to have imbalanced heating/cooling, but also strained my HVAC system, making it work significantly harder than it otherwise would. Combine the lack of insulation with improper ventilation, and you set yourself up for a home that's not comfortable to live in, while in the process of taking precious dollars away from your pocket, all due to increased electric/gas bills. I called Energy Attic back in 2019 to see what they had to say about my attic, and they came out to do an energy audit. They filled me in on everything that was wrong, and what I could do to fix it. The estimate they provided was very insightful, breaking down the cost of every service, and allowing you as a homeowner to do what's best for your house and pocketbook. At the time I was unable to afford the job, so I decided to hold off on the project. Fast forward to early 2022, I gave them yet another call, and due to a mishap in getting the square footage of my home incorrect (was overestimated due to some vaulted ceilings), we decided to have them come back out to my house to give things a look. I spoke with their sales representative Mike for a decent amount of time, making sure I understood what was best. Mike's insight was incredibly valuable, and I ended up going with a whole host of things to improve my attic space: - Removing all old insulation - Sealing any air gaps - Spraying in fiberglass insulation to R49 (16") - Installing a radiant barrier - Upgrading existing fan with a solar fan Energy Attic ended up scheduling the job for the next week, and three of their employees ended up working for nine hours, knocking everything out of the park the same day. I've had a lot of contractors & such work on my home, and these gentlemen treated my home with dignity, cleaning up after themselves, and ensuring the job is done perfectly. Almost immediately I was able to notice the consistency in temperature throughout the home, and not just that, but also my HVAC system kicking on less. I'm stoked that the days of dealing with certain rooms being colder/hotter than others are gone, and my attic space can properly reflect any heat thrown at it away with the radiant barrier, and push any heat out that did get in with the solar fan, regardless of wind conditions outside. While a job like this is costly, making your home comfortable to live in year-round is very much worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Energy Attic for any of your attic or HVAC needs. I'm pleased with what they have done, and I can't lie, my attic space sure does look better than ever!

I know for a fact that I asked if the quote and payment we gave for attic insulation, included over the garage. I was told yes, and I know I asked at least three times, and was told yes. The two other people in the home, heard it as well. The over the garage was not insulated. Now I understand, that I should have checked before I left the other review. That's on me. I shouldn't have taken anyone else's word, and I should have gotten the ladder and looked. When I texted the man who came here, I was told yes "no, it only includes over living space". The insulation over the living space is nicely done. I am very pleased with that. Just very irritated that, what I was told was going to happen, and included, turns out it's not.

Like some of the others, this is a bait and switch. The quote that they gave me was way too low…read more($129) and when the guy came in, Jerry, he quoted me $900. So, the background, I have an older furnace that had some black soot coming out of the vents and he said it was mold and mildew. He assessed the furnaces in the attic, and told me what he had to do. Sounded reasonable, so I agreed. This was on a Thursday. After he left, the problems were 1) the blower stopped working after he finished so I had no AC during that heat spell in May 2) there was a small gas odor after he finished 3) he didn't do the dryer vent cleaning because he had to be somewhere in the afternoon, at 2:30pm! He was telling me all the things wrong with my HVAC system as though he didn't want to do the work, but was completely interested in talking about the house that he was building and how great the HVAC was. But what's disappointing to me, especially, was his unprofessionalism. He didn't complete the job at 2:30pm because he had to "go to downtown to talk to the painters for his house that is being built." Like you are on company time, how many other jobs has he not finished or completed for his company to tend to personal matters? I paid in cash, so he likely didn't even report this job. I called another HVAC team and they fixed my furnace blower to just get the AC working but also gave me a great deal to just replace that old furnace upstairs. They were also the ones that explained all the bad work that was done prior, and the lack of work that Jerry did! When they ripped out the junction box, all the mold and stuff Jerry took a picture of was still there! The major thing was the gas leak, and fortunately my new HVAC guy found it. That could have been very dangerous. After the work of the other HVAC company was done and I had time to think about all that Jerry for NOA didn't do, he called me and said that he could come on the Saturday for the dryer vent cleaning. When I asked him what time, he said he'd check and get back to me. Then he never called me back. Then he calls me randomly on Sunday, the next day, and I cancelled on him at this point because I don't trust his work, or this company. Beware of NOA, and how they take advantage of you not knowing about HVAC. As a nurse, I naturally just wanted the best for my family in terms of air quality. But to damage the system I had in place, despite the age, and potentially cause more danger with a gas odor and leak, I don't think I can trust this company. Plus the fact that Jerry, was more concerned with his own personal project than helping me was a real turn off. He said it'd only take 10-15min, but didn't do it? Because of traffic to his paint match appointment? Bad value, bad customer service, bad work. Response time was good, but the only reason why I had to leave a star is because you can't leave a '0' star review.

To Rescue Air's credit, they had been warning us each time they came out for HVAC Filter rotations. Thankfully, Rescue Air's ace plumbing expert Mr. Phillip Blystone was dispatched to my home to assess the situation. Within minutes he identified the issue and immediately started to work out a plan and arrangement my family could manage to cover the expense of the Water Heater replacement: the source of the leaking problem. Rescue Air has a very long history of working with my family since we've been in this home (2016), so that level of service is a given these days. But that's not the complete reason for the 5-Star rating. The next day, now with a working heater, my wife and I discovered that a leak was still present in the Garage. Upon calling Rescue Air to let them know what was going on, Mr. Blystone responded swiftly to our location to triage the leak. Using both his advanced equipment and intuition, he found that in spite of the solid repair and replace he and his team performed of the water heater, a leak was sadly missed during the initial assessment. Most other business would likely have tacked on a "not-our-problem" sort of response to this. However, Mr. Blystone and by extension Rescue Air are not your normal type of company. With careful consideration of the economic circumstance of the recent repair & purchase, balancing years of customer loyalty and being a genuinely saint, Mr. Blystone proceeded to isolate and resolve the leak (a small puncture hole in the T-pipe hot-water line leading from the heater) pro-gratis. Completely unexpected, but definitely much appreciated! It goes without saying it would be extremely foolish for my family to consider doing business with anyone else in the Dallas Metro given Rescue Air's track record with our family. The value lost would be far too great. While I hope to not need their services as often as recently, I definitely look forward to working with them and Mr. Blystone should the need arise again.

They claimed safety issues, pushed contracts in front of me, and scheduled installation for the next day. I tried to cancel but was told I was locked in. I ended up spending around $30,000. After the installation, every maintenance visit came with aggressive attempts to sell me more services I did not need. Then the new system failed in 106 degree heat. The compressor failed at only 16 months old. Communication was poor, and I was left without AC for about seven days. I had to repeatedly chase them for updates. They did not have the part, did not follow up, and someone finally arrived at 10:30 PM after days of waiting. They gave me a two year complimentary membership as compensation. I assumed the membership would end after the two free years. My card on file had expired, yet in May and June 2026 the company suddenly began charging me again. This suggests someone manually updated my card information without my permission. I never authorized a renewal, never received a renewal notice, and never received invoices for any charges. They refunded the charges I caught, but then claimed I owed $95.80 for four months of fees that were never billed and never agreed to. I asked for written confirmation of a zero balance and never received a direct response. They only responded to the BBB and stated the account was at zero. Based on my experience with both service and billing, I strongly recommend being cautious before using this company.
