Disappointing Experience: Not the Quality We Expected I am…read morewriting this review because my family has been coming to Jellystone for years, and this is the first time I have ever felt the need to lodge a formal complaint. Unfortunately, our recent stay was so disappointing that I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this location to others. We didn't have many issues at our cabin. We did find various pieces of garbage around the yard, and there was visible black mold in our shower. We are used to this at Jellystone and overlook it as we are camping and "roughing it". The pool area was in a concerning state. The wave pool was completely non-functional. When we inquired, we were told the pump was broken and they were waiting on parts. The lazy river, which is connected to the wave pool, was extremely slow and dirty, leading us to wonder if the circulation issues were due to the broken pump--and, more importantly, whether the water was actually safe to be in. To make matters worse, the adjacent splash pad was so filthy that my children initially thought it was closed for the season. The most frustrating part of our trip, however, was the golf cart rental. We paid $85 a day, but the cart was essentially unusable for most of our stay. Despite plugging it in carefully overnight, the battery light was flashing on our drive to the pool the next morning. We plugged it in at the pool, but the light was flashing again shortly after we started riding around the park later, forcing us to cut our ride short. The issue persisted throughout our stay. Even after charging it again and attempting to use it, the battery light would come on immediately. We ended up having to push the cart up a hill to get it back to our cabin. When we turned the cart in, we asked for a partial refund due to our inability to use the service we paid for. The front desk staff suggested we were likely having electrical issues at our cabin, yet they refused to provide any refund. They claimed we should have called an after-hours line, which we were unaware of. When I mentioned our history as long-time guests, a rude man with gauges in his ears dismissively said, "You've stayed here many times and didn't know to call the courtesy line? Buh-bye." We have always enjoyed our past visits, but the lack of basic maintenance and the patronizing, unhelpful customer service we received this time are unacceptable. Do better, Jellystone.

My family has come here multiple times, and it's always a blast. However, there were many things…read morethat weren't so great. First, when we went to the bath house, the showers were disgusting. The shower heads either didn't work or worked very poorly. Next, at the same time, the wave pool didn't work, the hot tub was off limits, and the splash park area wasn't allowed. My entire stay, the wave pool still didn't work. It wasn't slow. We were told that they were missing a part that made the waves. In general, the place was messier than I expected. I still had a great time, but I hope these issues improve.

The hosts were more than helpful both when booking and when we arrived and asked for information about the area. The cabin was comfortable, had the amenities for our stay (the often mentioned cookies, coffee, items to cook with, a grill) and views galore! For visiting Kickapoo Valley Reserve or Wildcat Mountain, as we were, this is in the perfect spot.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Llama's, Horses and Cowboy Joe. Cowboy Joe is one of the owners and you can tell how much time, love and care goes into maintaining the property. The cabin's are warm, cozy, clean and stocked with everything you could need. They even present you with homemade chocolate chip cookies upon arrival that were incredible! I do recommend bringing all of your food necessary for your stay because the cabin's are extremely secluded. Any businesses are about 20-30 min away and even then, what IS there is extremely limited. My husband and I were prepared for this, so it didn't detract from our stay whatsoever-I say that as an fyi for future guests. The porch with rocking chairs was our heaven so we could read and listen to the sounds of nature. We highly recommend staying here! You won't regret it!

The Lodge is a beautiful log cabin, it's very clean, seems to be well maintained. It has comfortable beds, all bedding, and a fully stocked kitchen. The internet works well, and it's so quiet and dark at night that we all slept great! There is plenty of room for our whole family. The only suggestion I'd make is to add mirrors to the bedrooms to help getting ready easier since the only mirror is in the bathroom. A friendly property manager stopped by during our most recent stay to let us know about the firewood for the fire pit. We really appreciated this, though we didn't have time to use it. We'd definitely recommend this place for a comfortable, hassle-free stay!

We sat on the porch with out dog and played cards, walked around the property. The have a small lake that is aerated and clean with a small sandy beach perfect for small kids. It was very relaxing. The kitchen has all of the pans and utensils you will need. We used the bbq grill and made steaks one night. We went into the Dells one day and found a dog friendly restaurant called The Grateful Shed. One of a kind place for sharing lunch and a cocktail inside or out with your dog. Highly recommend. This family owned small resort is awesome. Thank you!
