We had to tow the limo back to the cabin because it wouldn't charge.

We are yearly visitors of this park. We have had 3 golf carts break down. It is our last day today and wanted to make it to the dance. Our limo golf cart broke down again so we piled into the 4 seater. We were harassed by 3 workers wearing everyday clothes. Chasing us and getting in our face. Once we released they worked here we were calm and tried to explain the situation. On the other hand they were not so calm and were getting in our faces and raising their voices. They threatened to call the cops. A few older male workers were very calm and understood our situation and let us off with a warning. Once the situation was settled I began to walk away towards the dance. I then hear them loudly state that our parents are horrible people and raised us wrong. I asked them if they would like to talk to our parents. They said no and continued to talk bad about us. I told them that they were not handling this maturely and that if they want to say something bad about our parents to say it to their faces. Then one of the ladies (has a tattoo on her arm) told me to walk away or she was taking our cart for real. They were all bigger lady's and one was named Sarah. When we were walking back to our cabin so that the cart wasn't overloaded. The girls followed us and gave us the finger and also stated we were alcoholics. ( only 1 person was drinking and is of age and was not driving) ( he was also not wasted and was being responsible with no open containers on the cart)

(I yap a lot so.. also disclaimer-i haven't been there since June 2023 but I'll be there in like 3 months and 2 weeks) Me, My dad, My stepmom, and my stepsister always share a cabin every year we go, it's a family tradition I've been going my whole 14 years of my life so far soon, to be 14 times because I had my birthday after Jellystone and I'm 14 WTV U GET IT ANYWAYS, every year on fathers Day weekend because my grandpa, my dad and all the guys and some of the girls love car show but everyone goes for just a good 5 day vacation. We go up every year with Jeff, Carol, Jeremey, Melissa, Maddie, Jas, Shawn, Regan, Theo, Ben, Angie, Lily, Nicole, David, Amy, and Nick, and me sometimes more come up, now as u can imagine we don't go up in just 1 car we all go separately and sometimes some of us get there a day late, we usually don't find many problems besides from the usual stuff... except for last year. anyways man here's the pros and cons frfr !Pros: (a list of stuff we usually do every year fathers Day weekend) -An area with a lazy river and a wave pool -An area with a pool for your toddlers (its like a foot tall pool), A heated pool (usually peed in BE WARNED), and a regular pool that's not heated. -A swan ride/ Boat ride on the lake out front - A lake for swimming with a jungle gym inside the water with a swing set too (pretty fun actually) -Ice cream by the pools -A gift shop -An Arcade -A dog park -A basketball court -U can paint on pottery and build a yogi, cindy, or Jr bear, or the ranger even, and u can tie dye down by the arts center. -Movie night every night around 8 or 9pm -Mini Golfing -Very Outdoorsy -Candy Bar Bingo -The Poker Run -The Car Show -A Water balloon station that sometimes works -A lot of Parks around the camp -Volleyball Nets -A really really tall slide -And there's a resort up higher in the grounds thats a hotel and has a pool and everything too but I cant tell u too much about the hotel bc I've only been there a few times bc we usually rent the cabins. -There's a Gas station that has a lot of food and just snackies on the grounds too but people mainly get most of their groceries from the stores outside of the grounds or from home. -They have a few places to eat inside the grounds too !Cons: In June 2023 me and my family went to Jellystone as tradition, they got new owners that year and lets js say.. things were a lil weird, now I personally LOVE Jellystone but these js irked me and I would have taken pictures of the 50 ants that were by my bed, mind u it was a Cindy cabin with my dad stepmom and stepsister and if you've ever been in a cindy cabin, then yk its really small and my dad's 6'8 but anyways I left a Dr. pepper out by the table that's in the middle of me and Maddie's bed and when we went out to go swimming and just go do regular activities we came back to come to bed and I shit u not bruh there was like 10000000000000000 ants by my bed bc the wood filling wasn't filled in all the way and my dad had to put bug spray on napkin and kill all the bugs and yea mb for leaving the Dr pepper out but still (I'm also like really weird with bugs and js the thought of them crawling even on me makes me js wanna scream and throw off every single piece of clothing I have on and burn it and scrub my body as hard as I can.) Also they don't allow dogs inside the cabins only the RV campers are allowed to have dogs. They also rarely ever have golf carts available fyi and the restaurant by the gift shop didn't have ketchup, very disappointing.. (js joshing.. not really it tore me but we had ketchup at the cabin) They basically have a lot of stuff to do and spend most their money on the activities and gift shop stuff but they don't spend enough money on the cabin renovations because some of the cabins aren't reached to their maximum potential but they have some bad water pressure, dirty floors most of the time, ect. It's more of a place that looks and is really fun but when the curtains get drawn and you settle down u finally see all the parks flaws. U also have to clean the cabin before u leave and vacuum and stuff well ik that they want u to I'm not sure if its obligated or not tbh The park really just needs more employees to keep it running like for cleaning the cabins and more lifeguards because they usually just have kids running around and not even watching all the little kids and toddlers getting trampled over on the trampoline thing where the old volleyball net used to be by the gift shop.

We love Jellystone. My son (now 12!) as asked for a week at Jellystone since he was 6 or so. We always go end of the summer when Wisconsin is back in school but Minnesota isn't so it isn't busy or packed. This year we actually were booked at 3 bears for the week and planned to hit up jellystone for a couple of days (buying a day pass) but 3 bears had a very limited week with lots of closures due to staffing issues. So we checked with jellystone and got a villa as they have more to do like craft center, parties and outdoor pools open all the time. With that being said- this week 8/28-9/3 they have had a few closures that we have never experienced before. No fault of their own but wanted to mention them. We have not been able to enjoy the outdoor water park. One day it was closed due to a belt issue then another due to some pipe being broke and the water turning brown. The new large slide we have only seen open once and the green one person slide hasn't been on once. There is a beach you can enjoy as well. If you're looking to doing the lazy River and waterpark you may be disappointed. But we understand as the workers are back to school presumably and it's very late summer. Mini golf is free, and outdoor movie and cartoons is a blast as well. Mini donuts and popcorn, dance parties, bedtime stories and more. Even as an adult you'll find something you enjoy! One day they did close everything at 6 for an all staff meeting so we had to plan food and activities accordingly. We have still had a great week. We stayed at villa 1a and it's plenty roomy for us 3 LOL. Maybe too big but I can't stay in tiny cabins. We checked in early as it was ready for us (we moved from 3 bears to JS so we had to book in person) and cleaned for about an hour as our son is immunocompromised and take extra precautions. The only thing I would mention is the cabin needs a good cleaning. We mopped it and Lysol, and wiped down for an hour and it is still dirty (especially the floor- our feet are black) but it's a cabin at a campground so we aren't expecting 5 star and it's end of summer so I'm sure it's been used nearly everyday and they don't have hours and hours to clean all the crevices. I'm sure off season it gets a good cleaning but wanted to mention that. With that being said I'm happy to be in a cabin, with air conditioning and a toilet and shower! Still getting 5 stars from me ;) jellystone is a blast and I love how they have kept it pretty much the same. Staff is friendly and lots of fun things to do. Will be back next year of course!

Long Review, but read it for good information…read more Nice, small inexpensive, clean and quiet RV park. Hosts: Super nice and inviting/accommodating. There was a heavy rain the day we were booked and out site held water. He was out there with a sump pump when we arrived. They placed us in a temporary site and the next day the host mowed and blew pine needles from our site so it was ready for us. Bath House: clean with good pressure. Laundry: 1 washer ($1.50) 1 dryer ($1.00) Commercial Grade machines. Never had to wait to get our laundry done. Firewood: $5/bundle. Nearby: Short drive to Tomah (Starbucks for the wife), Fort McCoy, Sparta, Wilton (for the Sparta-Elroy bicycle trails). There is a small bar across the street/walking distance. Haven't tried it yet, but I will add when we do. Host recommended Smitty's for lunch or dinner. It was an excellent suggestion, with inexpensive meals and great service. Internet: Haven't tried theirs. Our Starlink Roaming worked great here in both sites we were in. Here are the cons: Water had a metallic taste/smell to it. If you don't like that, I recommend bringing extra bottled water. Mosquitoes are vicious here. Lots of standing water in the cranberry bogs and marshes, so they are abundant. Small sites, though plenty of room for me to put out my corn hole boards and play. Turns are tight. I recommend. Update 26 July for Cons: My neighbor learned a less than desirable lesson. Not all campsites have individual breakers. He left the campsite early in the morning to venture around, and the camper on the other side of him pulled out while he was on the town. Both sites were on the same breaker. When they unplugged from the site, they cut the breaker as they should. However, my neighbors power was cut as well. And he was gone all day. No pets involved, but that is another reason to have a pet monitor in your camper.

It's the details! The land itself was gorgeous, the lady on the phone listened to the fact that I had six teenagers and put us at the spot right by the fishing hole where we had our own private beach for the river. The river the first day was up to our knees with a current that was manageable. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very cooperative with tubing ($11 a tube) which is what we wanted to do, but they also rented kayaks and canoes. The girl in the store was the family owner's teenage daughter and she was very sweet. At one point the four 14 year old boys took off on an Adventure down river, so I was in cell phone contact after hours with the owner of the campground trying to find out where they might pull aground when we spotted them coming in on an ATV from a local, friendly neighbor. They have a well-maintained volleyball court, gaga pit, badminton court with all the necessary equipment. They had covered picnic table area and a little camp store with cold pop and ice. They had cabins for rent at $149 a night which I looked into when there was a tornado watch. We were the only tent campers, (maybe other people had actually read the weather report), but it was a very quiet campground with only a crying baby early one morning from the many RV sites. None of us took a shower, but I did use the bathroom and peek into the showers and they were spotlessly clean like everything else. We also took a walk through their butterfly garden, so beautiful and peaceful. And for some reason not very many mosquitoes, not sure if they treat for them or we just got lucky but pretty much no bugs except for some flies when the teenagers didn't wash the dishes properly... it was about $150 for three nights of tent camping which included two sites and five packs of wood. A bargain! You won't regret it! Oh and my last bit involves cell phone reception: if you have T-Mobile you will get no service, if you have Verizon you will go from no service to 1 to 2 bars randomly, and if you have AT&T you will have full service the whole time.

It is pretty shallow so it was perfect for my 2 year old and 5year old to play. Our last day we decided to float the river and it was beautiful and an easy float. The owner was friendly as well. My only suggestions are to bring lighter fluid because the wood is a little damp and some type of fly repellant. Mosquitoes were not bad at all which was great! Overall we absolutely loved Lost Falls!

The staff at the main office at the Castle Mound Campground are friendly and helpful regardless of where you may be camping or recreating. I frequently camp with my paddling groups at Castle Mound prior to paddling the Black River. The sites are well laid out, and if you reserve sites 12, 13, or 35, you are closest to both the outhouses and the wood house. Racks of wood are available for $3. Just load up the handy rack located next to the shelter, and deposit your $3 in the collection box. Each site has a fire ring with a cantilever grill grate. Be sure to bring some aluminum foil if you want to cook right on the grate! The showers located near the main office are fairly clean and easy to use compared to those at many other state parks. They have a good potable and non-potable water station you can hit on your way out for the day's activities. The group campsite at the north end of the State Forest is very spacious. They only allow a relatively small amount of people to camp there, considering the space could host a county fair. It used to be a horse camp. Now it hosts group sites with large pads for RVs and campers. The rangers we dealt with at this location were very friendly, and the one high school kid who was assisting was a great help in finding where to access some of the local trout streams (a challenge in this watershed because almost every stream is in a box canyon). The only drawback to camping at the group camp, the East Fork Campground, or the indoor group camp (which I want to try this winter) is that they are pretty far from the paddling locations we use. It's a hefty drive from the Interstate to the north end of the State Forest. If you're in the area and the timing is right, stop in at the Ho-Chunk Pow Wow which takes place on the northwest edge of the State Forest. It's quite an experience, and the announcer is hilarious: "We're doing the same thing tomorrow. The same... damn... thing."
