They responded to my message in a timely manner, answered all my questions and they weren't pushy about getting their services. I have a new build so when it was finally time to hire an inspector I decided to go with MC2. So glad I did. They were reasonable and the inspection took about 3 hours. It was a smooth process and Greg, my inspector, was awesome. He was VERY picky (which I love) and he pointed out things that I wouldn't have seen. Please do NOT purchase a home without getting your own inspection done (IMO). Greg was very professional, he came in with footies and he had the report done later that night filled the pictures, notes and suggestions. It was definitely useful when I did my walkthrough with the contractor. Building a new home is already stressful but MC2 made it a little easier. Thank you for all your help, it's appreciated.

I called to schedule the inspection the day before Thanksgiving and Mike answered right away and told me they had availability the Friday after Thanksgiving (quick turnaround!). Mike also encouraged me to attend the inspection since I could ask any question I wanted and really get to know the new home I was purchasing. Jeremy was such a wonderful inspector. I almost consider him more of a consultant than an inspector! He knew SO much about everything in the home and gave me recommendations about everything I was unsure of. I received a detailed report with pictures of the home the same day. I cannot recommend MC2 enough, thank you for such a wonderful experience!

My first issue, the estimate I signed said cracks in the basement floor would've filled. Instead the technician left me two tubes of silicone and told me "you probably want to fill anything you can see depth into". I paid $1045, the guy was here for 2.5 hours. I expected him to fulfill the estimate. My second issue came when I went to review the work before the technician departed. The siding he cut a hole in was bowed out from the side of the house. I had to point out the issue, encourage the fix. It took us about 15 minutes to get the pipe in the attic placed so it didn't hold my siding off the side of the house. I'd expect after you cut a hole in the side of the house, you at least go out and look once the install is complete. The issue could have been resolved if the technician had a ladder tall enough to push the siding back in, but he didn't. The technician also left a bunch of dirt, insulation, and a huge mess on the carpet of our closet. For $1045 for 2.5 hours, I'd expect you to have a vacuum with you. Dude also forgot the label and the info that certified he installed the system. I have a home inspection for the sale of our home in 3 days. The inspector is going to want to know it was installed by a professional. He had to come back to put the label on. The last and most egregious of the issues. The technician's van left a dozen or more oil stains in my driveway. If it was one small spot, sure, leak started recently, he didn't know. But a dozen? That's been leaking a while, park your car on the street when you're at a customers house. Super unprofessional and careless. Photo attached of the oil stains. The driveway is a year and a half old. This is now the only imperfection on it.

We hired Cleanworx a few months ago to complete several critical jobs in our newly purchased home:…read moreinstalling a vapor barrier, a sump pump, mold remediation, and a radon mitigation system. I have never felt more ripped off by a company -- ever. In hopes the same doesn't happen to others, I finally decided to write a review. We chose Cleanworx based on their website, the services they advertised, and the strong reviews. It seemed like a solid choice. They claimed to do all the work we needed. Turns out, that was not the case. Don't be fooled by the polished website -- it does not reflect the quality or reliability of their service. The biggest issue was the so-called "vapor barrier installation." I was charged $885 for what amounted to little more than thin black plastic tossed haphazardly in the crawlspace. It didn't fully cover the ground. It didn't go up the walls. It didn't reach the edges. It barely overlapped, and entire sections -- including the entrance area -- were left exposed (see photos). There were gaps everywhere, dirt and gravel still fully visible. It was as unprofessional and careless a job as you can imagine. After raising our concerns, my husband spoke with the owner, who agreed to refund half the cost. But that's still shocking -- why should I pay anything for a job that was incomplete and not even remotely up to standard? Even worse, within a week, we had standing water pooling on top of the plastic. So not only was the vapor barrier not installed correctly -- it completely failed at its core purpose. And considering we also paid for mold remediation, this undermines the entire process. What's the point of treating for mold if you leave the area exposed to continued moisture? To make matters worse, I was charged a separate fee for "debris removal." Instead of removing it, they used the debris to weigh down the plastic barrier. Seriously? Since then, I've had multiple other companies come out to assess the work. Every single one of them called it laughable, poorly done, and said I should have received a full refund -- at minimum. They all pointed out that without a properly sealed vapor barrier, the mold remediation is essentially pointless. Communication with Cleanworx was also frustrating. It took multiple emails and phone calls just to get the partial refund. When we first booked the appointment, we were told that the owner, Dustin, would be doing the work himself. He later admitted he didn't -- and blamed the poor job on one of his workers. But if that's the case, shouldn't your employees meet the same standard of work as you claim to hold? Why are customers expected to pay full price for a half-done, substandard job simply because the owner wasn't the one doing it? Bottom line: the photos on the website are not reflective of the actual service. The vapor barrier was a total failure. The mold remediation was compromised. The debris was not removed. Communication was difficult. And the refund was partial, when a full one was warranted. To be fair, the radon system and sump pump seem to be working fine. But in my view, that doesn't excuse the rest. Be cautious before hiring this company. I wouldn't trust them again. I have photos on my google review if you'd like to see the kind of work they do.

But Bloom Environmental offered a free estimate, and tho they could have convinced me we needed to take action and give them all my savings, they looked around and told me we had nothing to worry about, but to do wipe off the mold-looking spots and if it doesn't reappear, it ain't mold. Just before I was…read moreto start a basement waterproofing project with Company X, the Company X representative informed me that the vinyl tile and underlying mastic in an area of the basement of my house (built in 1945) likely contained asbestos, that the wood paneling in that area contained mold, that these would need to be remediated/removed before their waterproofing work could begin, and that I needed to hire another company to do the work. Thank goodness Company X recommended Bloom Environmental! Bloom Environmental Owner James Plessinger and Office Manager Allie were wonderful to work with. They returned my phone calls and emails quickly and efficiently, and explained in detail all the steps they would take, which greatly alleviated all my concerns. James collected and sent out tile and mastic samples for testing by an independent, accredited company (high marks for this!), which confirmed the asbestos problem. They scheduled the 5-day project as quickly as was possible with our schedules. I was amazed at how the actual remediation and removal project occurred. James paid very careful attention to the safety aspects, taking precautions by sectioning off that part of the basement, closing off HVAC ducts, and using blowers, HEPA filters, multiple plastic barriers and more, all of which enabled me to safely stay in the house during the work. The work itself was amazingly quiet! At the end of each day, James and his team hauled off lots of material for appropriate disposal and then James explained to me what they had accomplished during the day, any problems they encountered, and how the overall project was going. I really appreciated being informed about these aspects throughout the project. James and his team started at 9 am on a Monday, were on time every day, and finished at 3 pm on Friday, keeping to their original schedule and even finishing a little early. I am also amazed at the appearance of that area of the basement once the project was over. James and his workers did an outstanding job removing everything that needed to go, and making sure that the concrete floor and block walls were clean and dry. They did a terrific job of cleaning up after themselves, so there was no dust, no debris, etc. Outstanding! And the cost of the project was incredibly reasonable considering everything that had to be done. Bloom Environmental is outstanding! If I had another project requiring asbestos/mold removal, I would definitely hire them again. Bloom Environmental has my highest recommendation!
