We have been using home team for last 4 years I am grateful we have a good group of techs who are very polite and a front office team who is on top of the game. When an accounting error was made they notified us immediately and gave us options to get it corrected. The leadership should be made aware of our local home team pest defense office and use them as an example to the other franchises who have had unfavorable services provided to them. I talked to Randy Spatz about continuing the service on a house we recently bought and everything was very well explained to me such that we decided to go with the Pest Control + Mosquitos service and probably add Termites later on. The house have the wiring system in which the technician does not need to enter the home to service it. However, then the technician came and OH BOY, I have never seen a more unprofessional person in my life! First, as stated, the house is wired with they Taexx system so he does not need to enter the door and could complete the pest control from outside, but he indeed knocked and we invited him in. While in my wife mention that she had seen 3-4 German roaches and he freaked out saying that he wouldn't do anything unless we pay $300 to first get rid of the german roaches. We tried to explain that we just moved into the house 5 days ago and those 3-4 roaches could very well have come with us and does not mean the house had a plague or anything so we would like to wait and see if we actually have a german roaches plague before doing anything and in the meantime we would like to have our normal pest control application which we pay a monthly fee for. He said no, he said he wouldn't do anything until we pay $300 for the german roaches, even if that meant that we have to keep paying the monthly fee *without* getting anything in return. The guy was very rude and unprofessional and we quickly decided to just go with another company, it's a shame I didn't get his name so I can add it here. I've never seen anyone in my life loosing business like this in such an unprofessional way, this guy should not be allowed near people and it's best he stays outside with the Pests he says he control! read more

I have been with the company almost 4 years. They have gradually gotten worse. They miss appointments regularly without notice. Home Team will change your scheduled service to another day with no prior notice and call you the day before to let you know they are coming. The Taexx system does not work well as I have them to spray inside with every service due to the ineffectiveness of the product. I finally canceled the service today after two missed appointments with no call. The response was we were going to call you. This is after the missed appointment.They are more expensive than almost every other company but the price isn't the issue. The lack of consideration of my time and the unprofessionalism took the cake today. They do not appreciate the business nor provide a service that makes you want to keep the service. read more

Please save your money. My father had been using them for pest control for the house and for the fire ants in his yard. He recently died and when we called to cancel the services and ask about the ants, their representative was "not polite". She demanded his last payment as the ants attacked and never tried to resolve the issues. They took an elderly man for his money and did not do the service he paid them for. Another company just taking advantage of a sick person. One star is a not good, more like piss poor. read more

I am extremely impressed with HomeTeam and after their initial visit, I can honestly say I will sleep better now. I just moved to the area and started to notice a few roaches in our bedroom/bathroom. I promptly called HT and they were professional, friendly and helpful from the very beginning. I could tell they were emphatic when I told them about my concerns--which always makes a difference. The technician, Darnell Calhoun, came over and did a thorough check and educated me on a few things I could do around the house to ensure we see less (or if we're lucky none!?) of the roaches and other bugs. Their agents make a great first impression and exude professionalism from the beginning. I remembered Nicholas Wahrmann from when I first met him when we closed on our house. 6 months later when we needed the service, I wanted to use them because of the impression he made. He wasn't pushing any sales at all, just wanting to build a rapport. Getting a technician to the house was easy and quick. Our technician, Darnell Calhoun, was extremely professional, on time, knowledgeable, and even pointed out a few things our builders didn't finish in an AC closet that left open space leading into the attic. Excellent, The well trained tech who has been helping me regularly with pest issues is a young man named Richie. He is the regularly assigned tech & showed up again this week when I had a new issue. He provided me with a lot of really valuable information. And, as a lawyer, I had to verify the accuracy of what he told me. Sure enough, he was 100% spot on. As far as I'm concerned, this company is well represented by the professionalism & specialized knowledge this young man delivers as part of the company's service. I've had the same bug problem for the last 9 months. I don't live in the middle of nature, I live in a town home in a nice neighborhood. I don't leave food or water out during the day, my house is generally clean and I scrub it once a week on Sundays. So I don't understand why I still have black ants somehow sneaking in through the cracks where floorboards meet the wall. Nine months of treatment once a month or every other month. The customer service is great, very friendly people and (for the most part) keep their appointments. I've had two instances where they didn't show up to an appointment, once they made a mistake with booking and sent a gentleman out the next day, and the other some guy had an emergency so they had to come out a day earlier which inconvenienced me. I wanted to switch companies nine months ago but the guys you meet are super friendly, but I'm at my wits end on this black ant problem.
