So I called Jim's and spoke to Junior, who gave me correct directions. I gingerly made my way to the nondescript cinderblock building at 100 Brown Ave. The guys hoisted the car up on the lift and suggested I had blown a brake line. I would need to leave it overnight, so I called up Enterprise Rental and got picked up. On my way out, I advised Junior to call me with an estimate. The next morning, I called to check on my car. They hadn't gotten to it yet. They suggested it would be finished by "3 or 4." "Okay," I said. "Just call me with an estimate." I had to get the rental car back by 3:00, so I returned it and got a ride back to Jim's. The car was fixed - 180" of new brake lines - $310. Now, I appreciate the fact that they did fix my car within 24 hours. But I did ask twice to be informed of an estimate. And I only learned the cost when I showed up. That's pretty whack. Also, the waiting room ceiling had a giant crack in it, along with buckets to catch the dripping water. So the place felt sketchy. But... they did fix my car. And when you don't have the ability to brake, that's a big deal.

They put it up on the rack, and we all agreed that they would probably have to remove and reinstall my trailer hitch. They included this in their quote which was $350 less than another Portage repair shop, that wouldn't even step outside to look at my truck, they just pulled a quote off of their computer. Anyway, I scheduled an appointment, and dropped the truck off Monday late afternoon. Nicole called me the next day around noon, and said the truck was finished, and even better news was that they were able to install the new shackles without removing the hitch. This resulted in a price that was $150 less than the original estimate. They wouldn't have had to tell me that they didn't remove and reinstall the hitch, I would have had no way of knowing. But their complete honesty amazed me! Thank you Nicole, and please express my thanks to the technician that did the work! You have definitely. I don't think there are many places that would have charged less than what the had originally quoted.

They have a small but comfortable waiting area with a mini fridge and free Wi-Fi and a high top table so I got some work done while I waited. Just over an hour and they were very polite. They have free early or late key drop. They have a loaner car and even offered me a ride home. She told me they run specials very often so even if I don't get a flyer in the mail, I should just call about their specials next time I'm due for an oil change. And it's right behind the family express on the corner of Juniper and six so can't get much convenient than that. They checked my tires and pumped them up with air and sent the full report right to my phone. A+

Receipt said he charged me 35 for windshield wiper fluid but it still was none in there. I quickly left took it to my mechanic he said the only thing he was right about was my tires are losing tread but they are still decent tires lol other than that my car is good it only has 39K miles on it lol. Told my mechanic about it and he said he never of it. Might be a good place to go if they had more knowledgeable people on staff. I will never be back.
