And man, do these absolute legends of automotive repair always leave me incredibly satisfied with their fast and high quality work. Within 3 days, not including thanksgiving, they had everything finished. The problem is gone, and so are several other smaller problems that turns out were attached to the whole "everything is leaking" problem. The rough idle is gone, the power dips are gone, throttle response is better, no more oil burning smell. I dont know exactly what they did, but the fantasy in my head is that these engine wizards waved a magic wand and poofed my car into factory performance state. I have a 2008 base model chevy impala with just shy of 200,000 miles on the odometer, theyve done plenty of work on it in the past, and im sure theyll do more in the future. Well i'd hope i wouldnt need that work, but should i need that work, theyre always the first phone call. The people here are professionals, in every regard. They make Jiffy Lube look like a bad joke. This place is busy, because they have a lot of customers, because the people in this area know they are the best place to have anything done on your car. But even as busy as they are, everything is always done quickly and without any flaws. Could not recommend hometown auto repair more, i know my ancient worn out car is in good hands every time its there.

August 7, 2026- the service department at this dealership is still garbage. The new name is Graff…read moreFord. The letterhead is new. The quality of workmanship is still the same hot garbage. My daughter took her vehicle there for a safety recall. It's a subcompact SUV with a turbocharged one liter motor. It had a wet belt driven oil pump that is internal on the engine. Why any manufacturer would choose this extremely poor design over the older, safer design of driving it off the bottom of the distributor I don't know. The only reason to visit a ford dealership service center in northwest Indiana is for a safety recall. For everything else, take it to your locally owned garage where a small business proprietor who actually wants repeat business will perform actual quality work. After having the car in the bay for about 5 minutes they came back and told her everything was good. Her car wasn't part of the recall. Fast forward a few months later. She is on the interstate 450 miles from home driving at night. A "low oil pressure" alarm flashes up on the center console display. By the time she pulled over on the immediate exit and turned the engine off somewhere safe the engine was cooked and the turbocharger was totally locked up. All this happened in less than two minutes. The next morning a friend of mine and I took a car dolly to pick up the car. My copilot did some Internet sleuthing while I drove. Based on the symptoms he determined that the safety recall concerns in the letter she received went unaddressed when she took the car to Bosak Ford/Graff Ford. We hauled the car to Tim Short Ford in Campbell County Tennessee. They quickly (and competently) confirmed that the faulty oil pump design was to blame and the engine was destroyed. Tim Short Ford replaced the engine as soon as one was shipped from Ford. The manufacturer covered the costs entirely. So thumbs up to Tim Short Ford in Tennessee. And Bosak Ford/Graff Ford has proven once again they can't be trusted to do their job. You can change the letterhead on the stationary. You can change the signage on the front of the building. But if you keep the same flunky workers with the same garbage standards then you haven't changed anything. A turd covered in gold leaf is still a piece of shit and so is Graff Ford.

It was slow in coming for some reason. I told her to go get it changed. On April 2nd I proceeded to change the oil myself as I thought she had not gotten it changed. I had drained the oil into a pan and removed the filter as well. My wife came into the garage and asked what I was doing? I told her I was changing her oil as it needed it. She responded by telling me it had been done the prior day. I responded that they had NOT changed the oil! The oil I had drained had a gasoline smell to it and was dirty and thin. It clearly was NOT changed. Here's the kicker. I write the mileage and the date on my oil filters so I know their history. Lo and behold, there was MY oil filter! I showed her the oil and the filter. It's incontrovertible proof they had NOT done the service. No reset of the mileage counter occurred either. It was closing time and I'll bet these kids just wanted out of there on a Friday night. The manager really dropped the ball as there was a trainee involved. I contacted Valvoline corporate. After wrangling with them and speaking to the manager of the shop they denied my claim. After having it kicked up the chain of command they issued a refund. The store manager also lied to me saying I would need a subpoena to look at the video of the car being serviced. (bullshit) I told them that I would hire counsel if that's what I needed to do. That's when I got the refund. So, how many people have they stolen from in this manner? It's not me I'm fighting for. The cost of the oil change was less than $125 dollars. I could miss that and be ok I assure you. They just blew it and would not make it right. I tussled with this issue with them for 5 days. How many older ladies have they cheated? If I had not thought the oil needed changing that car would have been driving around for how long on old oil? I have no idea as they didn't reset the mileage. It said she needed an oil change as she was pulling out of the store. Anyway, don't go to Valvoline. In any state or area. Also, the manager, kendal is a completely inept person and is over her head. She was rude and lied to me over the phone as to my needing a subpoena to watch the video tapes they take of every oil change. This was a lie and corporate told me it was a lie. Stay away. Stay FAR AWAY!
