I'll forever love this place after my recent visit. Literally the day my wife went into labor I caught a flat tire, explained that to them and they immediately took me in and patched my tire even though they were busy. They didn't charge me a dime and let me get on my way. I've been to T and M multiple times with my personal vehicles and work trucks. Every time I'm in and out super quickly. Sent me on my way with severely overinflated tires (45 PSI) making my brand new tires more susceptible to uneven wear and damage. I mean, EVERY CAR has the factory recommended tire size and pressure printed on a metal plate on the driver door panel i.e. 29 PSI ! "You had ONE JOB! " Furthermore, nobody was wearing face masks during the PEAK of COVID, including both staff and patrons. I called ahead, and they told me it was a good time to come in. However, when I arrived they asked me to come back later (for various reasons, closing early today, too busy now etc.). Finally on the THIRD TRY, they installed the tires, sending me off with severely over-inflated tires as stated above. I mean, this THE THING they do for a living, and literally not doing it right. Great people, great prices, and way faster than going into a big chain tire store. They gave me a great deal on a set of tires for my F350, and got me in and out in no time on a Saturday. Well worth a 40 minute drive to not be taken advantage of by high pressure sales tactics elsewhere. read more

Took my pickup to T&M for tire balancing. Tires are not balanced at all. Tech didn't seat front rotor correctly and ran down lug nuts with an impact which caused brake rotor to drag and damaged rotor(brand New, installed at Nissan). was told my truck was like that when it came in. Took Truck to TWO different Nissan Dealerships and both said the tires had NO WEIGHTS and tires were not balanced correctly. Broke lug stud off by cross threading lug nut. This place always did quality work for me in the past but now I'm gonna be out between $500-$1000 due to their mistakes. Service manager just shrugged his shoulders and said there wasn't anything they were going to do. Techs at Nissan did get a good kick out of watching the Hunter Road Force balancer shake like crazy from a "Balanced " tire from this place. This may have just been a one off, but the Service Manager's oh well attitude just put the cherry on top. read more

Noticed loosing air pressure ( run flat tire) in one tire at 6:00 pm on a Thursday evening. T&M Tires was the only place open nearby and the owner told us to come on in. Tire was changed in 15 minutes and we were on our way. Great service! Went in with a nail in my tire. Turns out it was a short nail that stuck in the tread but did not penetrate through..... no air leaking out after removal. No charge, serviceman wouldn't even take cash for his time! Fast service, honest workers, clean facility...... overall very impressed. I will not hesitate to return. read more

I detected what I suspected was a shifted belt on a tire while driving on I-94. I was directed to T & M by TA gas station. The team at T&M headed by Russel were quick to do an assessment, swap out the compromised tire, with my spare saver and sent me on my way in less than 10 minutes. I don't live near Chesterton, but if I know, preemptively that I need tire work, I would go out of my way to use T&M Tire Service. Great competent honest service. read more

Was in and out in 20 minutes and there was no wait. Was loosing pressure in both tires on passenger side and there was just a small leak around the rim. Cheap as well. Didnt try and sell me tires when the ones i had were fine. read more
