I just got a quote from them for siding on my 1100 sq foot home. They gave me the price minus the senior citizen discount, then tried to rope me in with another discount that was only available that day. OMG My granddaughter just purchased a house that's about the same sq footage as my house, appliances included, to have put on a piece of property. Do not bother using this company. They are like car salesmen that must get approval for any discounts they give you (and you have to make a choice damn near same day). Due to feeling I was being rushed and pressured into going with them for new windows, I decided to find someone else and went with them instead because they were more professional, straightforward on the price (no haggling) and didn't make me feel like an idiot. After I told the person I spoke to I went with someone else, I expected to be left alone. Lo and behold, almost 8 MONTHS after I had my windows replaced by the other company I used, Hometown Contractors called me up asking about my windows! They do NOT listen when I told them back in December I went with someone else 4and always seem like they want to pressure you into doing more jobs with them. Oh, and if a window breaks, you'd be on the hook for the FEE to get it replaced (I think it was about 400 bucks!). The company I went with: NO FEE and free repair/replacement of bad parts. Much better than Hometown Contractors! Please find a better company than this that does not specialize in 1 area and gives you limited options on what they can do. read more

As we were setting up appointments to get quotes for a sun room or screen room at our Pensacola home we inquired with Hometown. Almost immediately after filling out the online screening questionnaire we received a call (which went to voicemail since I wasn't monitoring my phone) from Scott to schedule a visit. I tried to call right back but no answer. I called the next morning to schedule. Scott took the time to hear about our project, get our address, and talk about a date/time.... Then he asked "Is your wife going to be there?" When I told him she would not be available due to her work schedule, he said "we won't do it without her." I told him it wouldn't work then, to which he replied "I don't make the rules." It sounds to me like Hometown has a high pressure sales force that wants folks to sign on the dotted line without getting multiple bids. Reminds me of timeshare! It's probably a blessing in disguise that they don't want our business. read more

BEWARE: OMG! This is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with! Avoid at ALL COSTS or it will cost you far too much. I didn't know how much shower replacements cost. The salesman was such an earnest and likeable young man and I signed on the spot. It was for a standard molded fiberglass shower that they kept insting was "custom made." I called b.s. and the workers admited that it was standard. The company charged me $10,000!!!! I had another put in for $1,500 that was of equal quality, once I found an honest company. Hometown Contractors refused to put the molded fiberglass shower into another bathroom that I had in my house that could benefit more than my original idea. They wanted to put a lean against my house AND not install the shower. The owners go to great lengths to hide who they are - very difficult to get the names. WORST contracters I've ever worked with in 40 years. We had to go to mitigation with my credit card company. read more

Here is the before during and after of our tub to shower conversion- they always say if you have a bad experience you tell 10 people and if you have a good one you tell 1. Well I'm here to tell you they did a BEAUTIFUL job. This is my dream shower. The ONLY issue was when they accidentally made a hole in the exterior wall while putting in the niche. They patched it well and it seems to be fine! I got them to put it in my final review just incase any issues arise. If you're looking at this company for any type of replacement or remodel work make sure you don't have a time frame. We were told by salesman our project would be done by the 1at week of August, they are just today finishing bathrooms. We were misled by completion date, then we were called excited that we have an install date, nope guess people don't talk as not all parts are in yet, why call then and look unprofessional. I had opportunity to speak with Patrick and get lied to 2 times and I believe me pushing and insisting that I get a discount for their lack of professionalism and was told by Patrick yes we will discuss when job complete. Well rubber meets the road and someone named Wes on phone said nope and Patrick said nope. 3 lies Patrick and your out. I will make sure to show off product and not give out their name. Enjoy my 25000 dollars as I speak to well over 60 people per day and will speak the truth to all of them. I was hoping to be able to add another 5 star review but that's sadly not the case. We sat on two different occasions with a rep and agreed on 18-months no interest plan, for the total of the windows that we picked out. The work was completed and met our expectations without questions. Upon completeion of the work, we were reminded of our bill, that posted a payment due. With numerous conversations with not only the contract company (HTC) and the lending Company (upgrade), we ran circles like clowns in the circus, without any resolution. The claim is that we ''agreed'' to the contract term noted on the contract. THE ONLY piece of document that discussed any ''agreement,'' just had a Plan number. When the rep sat with us on our patio, and we ''agreed'' on the plan, time frame, and interest agreement, he submitted it for review and approval. Myself nor my husband have recollection of signing for a term of 180 months at the APR provided on the bill. We were under the agreement that there was no interest until 18 months, as the rep had promised countless times in our presence. After several very unpleasant encounters with the lending company, they advised us that the 'signatures'' that I'd requested to see (that we signed), were only check boxes. Overall, just a very poor ordeal overall. I absolutely will not recommend either company to anyone I know. We went with them, because my husband and I are both Veterans, and wanted to support a Veteran-Owned company. read more

I will start off by saying most of my frustration with this company was with the sales rep, the way they charge for a product and the miscommunications between the sale rep and installers. If it wasn't for the installers and the project coordinator, this whole process would have been an awful experience. I had two double doors and about 125 feet worth of soffit installed on my barndo. They charged me almost 34K for everything. You will not get a breakdown on what you are paying for. Paperwork basically said soffit and non-impact doors and total price. That should have been my first red flag. When I ask the sale rep later for a breakdown of what I am paying for, he sent a excel spreadsheet. For the money they were charging me, I couldn't even get a professional letterhead invoice from him. This is where I noticed the price gauging. For example, I was charged almost $980 for Schlage "Addison" handle set. Those same handle set would have cost me no more than $600 anywhere online. When I ask him about this, he didn't have much to say other than this is what they charged. This company promotes Provia doors. They claim it to be an excellence door but both my doors came with problems, ranging from being the wrong color and installment problems. Its much more to this to speak on, but it would just make me more upset over the whole ordeal. If I had to do this all over again, I wouldn't recommend HTC. If you decided to, just be warned and make sure you have the sale rep document everything he tells you. read more

ALERT ALERT! These people do not stand by their work! I had tub and shower installed 8 years ago by this company! Life time warranty on product and if I sell my home 2 years to new buyer!. 3 people have come to my home to take photos of issue. 1 of the gentleman stated he never seen a tub and shower so clean after 8 years! I have been calling since May about tub cracking and fibers showing on tub floor. 27 calls later including today call. They are always in a meeting or warehouse. Leave message. So I do and NEVER a return call! I. Am not going to mention any names that I spoke with or have seen in my home since they are HTC puppets and need their job. They just doing what there told. I purchased a patio roof from Hometown Contractors that started leaking soon after instillation. Several repair attempts later I asked about my 1 year warranty & was assured my warranty would start & extend for 1 year from the repair that did not leak for 1 year. I contacted a Hometown owner, Jamie K. & was told Hometown would do the needed repairs at no cost to me. That proved to be a lie. They did not stop the leaks & I was told I would be required to pay for any future repairs. Hometown stopped answering my calls, texts & emails. Seniors Verses Crime tried to help me and Hometown turned it over to their attorney. I have thousands of dollars in a that continues to leak drops & down pours from every seam! Water leaks thru the now, nonworking fan/light fixtures & drips off the pull chains. My patio is a useless, dangerous disaster & Hometown does not care! I ask Hometown to pay to have it taken down and a new one installed. They refused so we go to court! Hometown can do nice & they can do bad work this is REALLY BAD WORK & HOMETOWN WALKS AWAY LEAVING THE CUSTOMER TO LIVE WITH IT! Hometown did not stand by their word or their work with me. HTC did some work my Dad's house in Milton, FL. From the first contact by the salesman to installing was perfect. Communication was top notch. They keep you informed of every step. Best part of the whole experience was the installation crew that did the install. There names were Dylan and Dalton. Usually these days you dont find young men as polite and professional as they were. They set the example of how young men should act. They were so easy to work with and they work together very well. Very jovial but professional. I would hire these two for any project. HTC is lucky to have these guys working for them. I cant say enough about them. These people do not care about their customers. They out in a hurricane window that could not even withstand a water hose before it leaked and it wasn't even an opening window. It was a totally sit window that was crushed in the bathroom. Now they are trying to slide by and Act like it is an issue with the siding or something else. It wasn't making before they put the window in so it's obvious who is at fault. Don't use these people. They don't stand behind their work and when when they say they don't use contractors they do. They were the best! My husband is a Seabee so he knows construction and remolding our bathroom was more harder than it looked so he suggested I get someone to do this . Well after about four turn downs from plumbers who wouldn't touch it I came across the Hometown Contractors . I live in Alabama on the Eastern Shore so last year when I contacted them they didn't service my area, but then a year later and still no one to take on the job, low and behold Hometown grew to servicing my area. There is not enough space to tell you how good they were at what they did, you really have to call them and have a consult, but what they did was amazing and they did it in the cleanest most courteous, friendliest efficient way EVER! I strongly suggest you give them a call if your considering a bathroom remodel. My bathroom was ripped out and rebuilt in a DAY!!! I don't know anyone that can do that, not even my husband with all his experience. And the best part of all is the guarantee is lifetime! You can't beat that. read more
