We reached out to RC General through their yelp page and got a response within five minutes Jessica was quick to call and schedule us for an appointment within 48 hours She listened to our needs and discussed possible scenarios before offering us a free consultation with a site visit and estimate Unfortunately, we have an older home with something called T11 siding and some rotten window and door trim around the home She explained that this was called dry rot, and that it can spread if not treated Ryan came out to our home, was not only on time but arrived early and waited in his truck until our 12 o'clock appointment Ryan walked the entire property with us and found multiple other areas that had issues as well as areas that needed attention to prevent future damage Ryan explained to us that what we can see on the surface is not necessarily the full extent of the issues He was very clear about possible dry, rot in the framing and siding below the trim He offered us a few options as well as a clear and concise estimate It was impossible for him to realize what could be going on behind the window trim He gave us a very fair price and suggested some quality products which we could apply ourselves such as caulking, primer, and paint to prevent any additional damage As he suspected there was areas that required additional work was unforeseen at the time Unlike many other contractors, who would jack up their prices, he did the additional repairs at a very fair rate and helped us save some money in the process Of course, there are always things that come up during maintenance, remodels, and construction work, which will be surprises and you can't always know what the total cost will be until you expose it and get into the problem to find a solution We appreciate his expertise, Advice and communication throughout the entire process We will certainly use RC General again in the future.
