We went during our stay in Silverton, and we all felt that the food was just ok (outside of the donuts - those were delicious!) and the coffee was perfectly adequate. The service was pretty quick - even whenever it got busy. The coffee didn't rewrite any history books and won't be added to a list of best shops in Oregon, but it's a great space to support a local shop and get a decent cup that's worth the price. Although the woman behind the counter said she didn't make many cortados (even though they're on the menu), she said she'd give it a shot (see what she did there? ). It was tasty but had too much foam on top (cortados are equal parts espresso and steamed milk without foam), although now that I think about it, maybe it wasn't foam at all but simply the steamed milk bubbles rising to the top. Typically a cortado is served in a clear glass large shot glass but since they didn't have any of those, it was served in a small espresso cup. In any event, the drink was good and the bite-sized frosted mini doughnut was a perfect mouthful. I'd give them 5 stars if they had had a cortado cup, especially since it's actually on the menu, but overall, a charming place to stop for a pastry and a coffee. With several comfy nooks, tables for your laptop, live-edged wooden bars at the front windows, and a nice selection of pastries, I'd definitely come back here... and maybe next time they'll have cortado cups
