Let me start with this is not just a bistro and a coffee shop as the sign states out front. It's also a bar. This place is so much more than it appears at first glance. The inside is super cute--rustic yet elegant--and it works as a bar, coffee shop, and restaurant all in one. The breakfast is fantastic! Make sure you go upstairs. There's a beautiful space perfect for parties, with pool tables , darts, and shuffleboard. It would make an amazing event venue. When we visited, a group of high school kids were playing music and they were great--such a fun vibe. Huge shoutout to Karyssa, our bartender! She made one of the best Spanish coffees I've ever had--and I'm super picky. Great service all around! She's very personable. We really enjoyed our visit. read more

The lattes were AMAZING. We lived in Seattle area for nearly 20 years, and these measure up to what were used to there. Thai chicken salad and salmon eggs Benedict were really, really good. We were in Silverton for an event and needed a place for lunch. This place fit the bill. It's fairly roomy inside, dark with few TV screens. The service is friendly. The food is good! I tried the pastrami with side salad and my husband got the patty melt. Both were very good and i really loved the swirled rye. Crispy on the outside the patties were not over cooked. I've been here a handful of times and the experience is different each time. The first two times the service was horrible and my food was cold, it wasn't busy and had to wait 10 minutes to order and 20 minutes later my cold order was served. So far, excellent! The restaurant is right next to the coffee shop. It is the same business. We came inside, looked over the menu, and then chose our dishes. Our server is so cool! Her ponytails are adorable :-) she has the best energy, and we noticed the other customers have lots of healthy food on their plates. This is always a plus for me. I ordered the chicken wrap with chicken lettuce tomato Pepper Ranch. And then they grill it. Exciting :-) The verdict is in - it was amazing. The service was fast! Probably only 7 to 10 minutes. My wrap (with salad on the side) wasn't only huge. It was stuffed with vegetables, seasoned chicken, and bacon. This is a delightful restaurant that we will bookmark. Arrived at 10am on 9/15, were sat outside and waited about 10-15 for a waitress and then went inside to order. No biggie, they are busy. After finding out we didn't have a waitress assigned to us one told us she would be out to get our order. Then the hostess came out with water and asked for our drink order which we ordered two cappuccinos and asked for sugar. Waitress then came out and took order and coffees came relatively quickly. Fast forward to 10:45 and we still didn't have sugar so I went inside to ask for it and also check on our order. Inside I asked the hostess three separate times for sugar and finally a waiter was gracious enough to get me some and check on our order which he said was still about 15 minutes out. I had mentioned possibly leaving but that wait seemed manageable. While inside another customer said he waited an hour for his food but that it was good and worth it. I went back outside and put sugar in what was left of my coffee and mixed it with my finger because I didn't have any silverware. Then my waitress came out (for the first time since taking our order) asked if we were staying and then said, "I told you there were several orders ahead of yours" which may have happened but I can't remember exactly. Regardless, the attitude was not necessary. Food arrived at 11:03 and was good (though we were missing toast). Service was decidedly icy after the earlier interaction. At 11:22 with no waitress in sight the hostess was seating another group so I asked her for a box, our bill and our missing toast. At 11:27 with no waitress in sight to take my card for the bill I just left cash on the table and left. I 100% understand being busy but that shouldn't equate to a total lack of customer service. The stars were purely earned by the food and the waiter who finally got me sugar after requesting it four times. It's obvious that Silverton needs another option for a full breakfast restaurant. read more

We decided to meet in Silverton as it was a halfway stop between me and my friend's house. We wanted to get a bite somewhere downtown and I Googled this spot. It's really nice here. A bit loud on the overall noise level when there were a few people in there but the food was great. I had the Thai peanut salad it was huge and so tasty. It had chicken in it as well it really made it come alive. Service was quick and the server was very friendly. She kept checking on us to ensure we had all we needed. My friend had the $12 spaghetti special and described it as like you would make at home. She had enough to take home for later. Located in the heart of Silverton. I would say it's more a Pub type of restaurant. Keep in mind that service can be really slow during busy times but the staff are super friendly and the place has a nice ambiance. Came in for lunch on a weekday and ordered the Patty Melt with a side chowder. The Beef in the Patty Melt was super dry and way overcooked! The chowder however was absolutely delicious! I could eat a bowl of it. Was chunky, hot and really flavourful. Washed it all down with an iced mocha. They didn't charge me for my Patty Melt and offered to make it right. That's service! We had breakfast (served all day) at lunch hour here and the eggs, hash browns were excellent. The hash browns were crisped on the outside. Bacon was good quality, delicious and cooked well as I asked. The sour dough bread they toasted is very tasty. The mocha coffee was served too hot though. Service was friendly and efficient. We had dinner at the Main Street Bistro on Friday night. Our meal and service was outstanding. My wife is gluten free and had the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich as a salad. She loved it. I had the Chicken Cordon Blue Sandwich with fries. The Chicken was crispy and their bun of choice held up to the sandwich well. I WILL order it again! My wife and I ate breakfast there on a Friday morning and it was moderately busy. The food was very good. I had the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. Our waitress did a good job and was friendly. Looks like it Might be a great place to try for other meals as well. The menu looks really interesting. Parking is available only on the street unless you park several blocks away and walk in which in nice weather would be enjoyable. We love the small town atmosphere of Silverton! read more

It seems harder and harder to find a good breakfast restaurant that serves a good cup of robust coffee. (And, having a good cup of coffee with your breakfast, for me at least, is like having some good fries served with a good burger.) Main St Bistro serves a good cup of coffee! . Along with that, my cheese and sausage omelette was very tasty! The prices were reasonable and our server was excellent, too! As far as ambience, we were impressed with the numerous large flat-screen TV's, most of which were showing some breathtaking aerial shots of what appeared to be the English and/or European countryside. We decided to come to this Bistro for dinner after a long day driving around waterfalls. First things first, we had no clue that this spot would come off as more of a sports bar. From the exterior, it looked like a cute coffee shop restaurant mix. We (party of 2) walked in and there were 2 tables seated on a Saturday night. Lots of TV's everywhere (which is fine) and after waiting for the bartender to seat us we ended up picking our seats next to one of the TV's. The night started off normal and it progressively got louder in the bar area, although nobody else joined the four people at the bar. They just seemed to get more and more drunk. We waited a while for the bartender to take our orders and she was the only one working on a Saturday night so we were completely fine with the wait - until the food took about 45 minutes to come out. We ordered chips and queso which unfortunately tasted like water, and we both got burgers which were definitely burnt. We didn't want to complain about anything because the bartender was working really hard, but we did have the chips and queso ($9) taken off because of how badly it tasted. It was really disappointing to have a not so great experience here because the bartender was truly doing her best to make drinks, run the food, take all the orders, seat people, and run people's cards. I just felt that it would have been a better experience if the food hadn't taken so long (there were 2 other tables seated and the loud people at the bar). Sadly, we decided we also didn't want to come back to this place because of all the factors. I think that for a friday or Saturday night football/game night, this is a great spot! read more

It took an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food, on a relatively quiet Saturday. Our server was virtually absent (it's a small restaurant and he was nowhere to be seen for long periods of time). At the end of the meal we were told that their food delivery had been late and didn't even arrive until we had been waiting for an hour (we arrived at noon, their delivery apparently arrived at one). Mind you, they did not tell us that they did not have the food on the premises. They let us sit and wait with a small child for an hour and fifteen minutes. In the end it took almost two hours to get out of the restaurant. Just waiting to get our bill, and get it paid, took twenty minutes. There were two other tables with couples in the entire restaurant. Definitely not busy. When we politely asked, we were denied any kind of compensation for such a bad experience. They said I'm sorry and charged full price regardless. DO NOT EAT HERE if you value your time. Our complaint was not taken seriously and they deliberately withheld information about the availability of the food we ordered. read more
