this establishment is extremely dirty. there is spilled soda, trash and crumbs everywhere. we had to stand at the counter forever just to receive a cup after we got our order because they didn't give us one. The windows have handprints on them. Tables are sticky just disgusting. Also slow and none of the workers speak English, which one makes it really hard to order food. Service was terrible. It took about 15 minutes to get an iced coffee and a smoothie. Upon arrival, the iced coffee was more than 60% milk, which I never requested to be added, and had almost no coffee taste, so I had to send it back only to get an even worse tasting plain iced coffee - just lousy! During my wait, I saw another customer come up about their order filled incorrectly. Girl at counter was not new, but didn't seem to care about service at all. Would never return. First time in around 10-15 years that I ordered a hamburger at McDonald's, usually I get their sausage egg mcmuffin, it's pretty much the only menu item that is consistently decent. Today I say a picture of their steakhouse burger and thought that looks decent, I was wrong. First off if I order a burgers at a steakhouse or even Red Robin they at least serve a fresh burger. Please fast food places don't cremate your meat and then don't stick it in the warming tray for 20 mins, they become soooo dry it's hard to eat. Everytime I go to this McDonald's the employees all except one are slow and confused. Half the time they don't get our order right. And I know it's McDonald's, but most the employees just look like they could care less. It's like they are only polite and smile if they absolutely have to. They don't take their job seriously, and all the sandwiches are super sloppy and always lopsided. However, the bathrooms are nice and clean as well as the lobby. And when I do run into a friendly employee it really makes my day. Worst experience at Silverton McDonalds I've had in a long time. I used the mobile order to try to save a couple dollars and the drive through was packed, so I parked in a mobile order spot. I ordered at 12:25pm and had an employee come out at 12:45pm to inform me that the infamous shake machine was not working. I opted for a refund, and then waited about 8 more minutes (12:53pm) for them to bring out my one sandwich. No one apologized for my almost 30 minute wait, and no one offered anything to compensate for my time. Not going to use mobile order again-- which is a shame since nearly all of their app 'deals' are limited to the Mobile Order option. read more

Went to get a cup of coffee but the drive thru was super busy so I parked and ran inside thinking it would be faster. 2nd in line to order, and I asked for a large coffee and paid. I have no idea what was going on but everyone appeared to be working but nothing was making it to the counter or drive through window. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I asked if I could please get my cup of coffee. They said they had to go in order. Another 5 minutes passed and no orders were going out. After almost 20 minutes, I gave the customer behind me my receipt for my one cup of coffee and told them they could have it and I left. Worst McDonald's ever. Whatever your order, they are almost guaranteed to get it wrong at the drive thru. Order a diet coke, you might end up with a Mountain Dew. Customer service at their drive thru on 2/17, lost them customers. The guy totally escalated a minor situation when he could have solve it easily. Save yourself the hassle. I would like to express my distaste for cheap fast food places like McDonald's and Taco Bell. But this store just took the cake and my business. We do not have many fast food places in our town but it's not worth the drive to go to Salem if your living here. Anyways heres to why they lost my business. The woman at the counter was rude and standoffish, the manager was uncaring. I had started to place the order for the 10$ box and use the recent 3$ off cupon of orders 10$ or more. The service counter woman stated that the cupon will not work and I point it out to her on the app 10$ OR more was the only stipulation. Instead of agreeing with the customer and reduce the bill 3$ I then proceeded to add another deal from the kiosk that they have. That deal is two quarter pounders for 5$ and again the woman at the counter flat out said we do not offer it here in the store. I said it's in your kiosk how is it not at your register under your secret menu. Goes ignored line building behind me so I said cancel that order I'll do it myself. Story short the counter ate my 3$ cupon and when I got done making my own order she ignored me for five minutes lazying around. read more

The young man that I ordered my little brothers meal with was very daydreamy. I had to repeat my order to him 3 times until he got it into the computer (it wasn't loud at all in the establishment). Then we waited about five minutes and the food came out. Then my little brother said, "Where's my McFlurry?". So I went up and kindly asked the young man if the McFlurry was on it's way. He proceeded to tell me that I hadn't mentioned a McFlurry. So I had to wait 20 minutes for it to be made even though the drive through was closed down. I don't buy food here often, but for the last three times, the french fries have been bitter. Since it was take out all three times, I had a different approach each time. The first time I couldn't be bothered taking the fries back. The second time I called and said the oil must be old and was assured that I would get an exchange using fresh oil. That made all the difference...no bitter taste. Tonight, I asked in advance if the fries were freshly made and was assured that they were. I tasted a couple before leaving the store and thought they tasted OK, but sure enough when I got home (about a 5 minute drive away), my husband and I could both taste the bitterness. So, in general I enjoy going to this McDonald's. Being in Silverton, I feel the small town vibe. Everyone is kind, if you drive thru often you get to know the employees a bit, etc. I have to say I am disappointed, though, in the service. Several times, I have ordered items with some sort of special request (often "no bun", as I eat gluten free) that have been made incorrectly. I am aware that this is a fast food restaurant, and as such it is a high speed, high stress environment. I am willing to give grace. However, I also feel it is worth mentioning to other customers that I have had several instances where I said "no bun" that my order arrived with a bun. Today, there is a sticker on my quarter pounder box that says "no bun", yet when I open the box there is a bun on my burger. This is disappointing. I know details get missed. Mistakes happen. But really? The one request I had was not honored. For me, in this situation, I cannot eat the burger I paid nearly $5 for. That's ridiculous. I know I have a special diet, and I take this risk. But I have to say I can't take this risk any longer at this McDonald's. Despite my warm fuzzies with the friendly staff, I can't get more than coffee or a drink here now. Sad. read more

McDonalds in silverton has a sign on the door saying dining open until 12 midnight. A group of us went to have a late dinner and it was 10:45pm. We waited for our food and the MANAGER asked us to leave so they could go home. We argued the fact that the door said midnight and she proceeded say the she could change the time right now and we could eat outside. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Rude nasty little girl. I would think twice about ever about going to this place. We proceeded to leave and another couple tried to go in and they too got upset and argued the time on the door. . . The waits can be long, and if you're a middle aged woman you may be sassed. It resembles a sweatshop, but produces better food than its competition (Dairy Queen). There is now a touchscreen interface to order your food which reduces lines, but does nothing to speed up your order. The staff is sometimes passive aggressive and there are a couple of hooligans working there, but as long as you don't make eye contact with them they shouldn't turn on you. The clientele can get creepy sometimes, especially at dusk, but if you're passing through the area, it's a fast and easy place to stop. read more
