Gear-Up, Silverton is exactly what it looks like - a local coffee shop that's not trying to be excellent or pretentious but provides some treats and a decent cup of coffee. The barista was nice and accommodating as well! We went during our stay in Silverton, and we all felt that the food was just ok (outside of the donuts - those were delicious!) and the coffee was perfectly adequate. The service was pretty quick - even whenever it got busy. The coffee didn't rewrite any history books and won't be added to a list of best shops in Oregon, but it's a great space to support a local shop and get a decent cup that's worth the price. Strong suggestion to order any latte half sweet - it'll be a good level for more serious coffee drinkers! read more

I've driven by this place many times but haven't stopped to check them out. Until today, that is. Waiting for a nearby store to open, I walked across the parking lot and ordered a cortado and a mini-doughnut with mint frosting and mini chocolate chips. Although the woman behind the counter said she didn't make many cortados (even though they're on the menu), she said she'd give it a shot (see what she did there? ). It was tasty but had too much foam on top (cortados are equal parts espresso and steamed milk without foam), although now that I think about it, maybe it wasn't foam at all but simply the steamed milk bubbles rising to the top. Typically a cortado is served in a clear glass large shot glass but since they didn't have any of those, it was served in a small espresso cup. In any event, the drink was good and the bite-sized frosted mini doughnut was a perfect mouthful. I'd give them 5 stars if they had had a cortado cup, especially since it's actually on the menu, but overall, a charming place to stop for a pastry and a coffee. With several comfy nooks, tables for your laptop, live-edged wooden bars at the front windows, and a nice selection of pastries, I'd definitely come back here... and maybe next time they'll have cortado cups read more

Perfect place to stop either before or after your hike. Unbelievably delicious pastries. Excellent coffee!

My sister and I ordered a caramel coffee and a white mocha with oat milk substitute and a slice of banana bread. While the banana bread tasted delicious it was crazy expensive. The coffee tasted awful and I'm pretty sure they used water instead of oat milk. I think the people/regulars know the coffee is bad but come for the atmosphere. read more

Awkward baristas, didn't greet upon walking in too. Didn't make monthly special beverage correctly. The only difference between a lavender latte and the "lovender latte" is the lavender flowers on top. So if I order the LOVEnder, I'm expecting the flowers, otherwise I'd just order the normal lavender. Besides that, the latte wasn't good at all. I even splurged for a large and I didn't have more than a few sips. Really odd flavor. Ended up wasting the drink. Sad because I was really looking forward to trying this "monthly special" before February ended, and made a special trip to the establishment to get it before the months end. read more

Cool little coffee house. Got a hot coco, small decaf pumpkin spiced latte and like 5 or 6 mini donuts for 12 bucks. Not too bad and the vibe inside was super cool. Theres a few areas to sit in comfy chairs and some play stuff for little kids but all that was already taken. That was kindof a bummer but I guess first come first serve. Overall great experience. Once the weather warms up ill be back to see if they open the big roll up doors/windows to make it a kindof open patio type area. read more

The service here was so slow and inattentive that the older couple in line ahead of us tried to use the iPad to order before they barista finally, after more than 5 minutes, greeted them. The food was good, but the bagel and burrito we ordered to close to 30 minutes. I enjoyed my coffee a lot, but dang, it took an hour to get in and out. read more

Staff was patient & friendly even though I was a bit slow to decide my order. The ambiance was relaxing & it was pleasant waiting for my order. Met for coffee on the way to hike at Silver Falls. We were pleasantly surprised to find a cozy local coffee shop in a small community that takes precautions and has lots of covered outdoor seating. The outdoor seating area has great pellet stove heaters built locally by the Traeger family. The coffee is good and the proprietors friendly. They also make fantastic donuts! Who knew? read more

Very thankful for all the female members of staff who take guests well-being seriously and had their masks on. But there was the one dude with the beard and no mask just acting like he's the only person that matters. Good excellent. Ordered two each of the mini donuts, and all were excellent. The scratch made maple on the maple bacon was phenomenal. Berry smoothie was also excellent. Ordered a bagel sandwich, and it took a little Longer than expected. When I went inside to check on it, the staff informed me that the cucumbers were not up to his expectations of freshness, so he ran out to get fresh ones. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on toast. It was really really fantastic. Someone else in my group had the same sandwich on a cheddar and jalapeño bagel, which was also really good. the coffee is just fine, the shop is good but the big shout out here is that they sell the bread from the Silver Falls Baking Company, kind of right next door but they don't do retail - so here is the spot to get some really GREAT bread. The big hole in the otherwise perfectly lovely food scene in Silverton has been the lack of anything even close to acceptable bread. Well, solved that - this stuff is the real deal and I have bought baguette in the 16th district in Paris from the second best bakery in Paris. I challenge you to not just rip off the end and stuff it into your mouth in the car - not to fuss I have seen kids in Paris do the very same thing walking down the street. read more

Hands down, best London Fog I've ever had. I got a little honey in it and had it with the HT Earl Grey Supreme...wow. :) I CHUGGED it (and I typically sip my drinks), and now I'm looking at buying the same tea brand online. Also, I took forever to decide what I wanted, and the barista was very patient and kind.
