Stopped in for ice-cream after having lunch nearby. Such a cute little place! Staff is super friendly and lines move quickly. I ended up ordering the small bowl which consists of two scoops of ice-cream. The double actually has 3-4 scoops! I'm glad I asked before ordering because I assumed the double was 2 scoops. The single is $2.50 and double is $4. Very reasonable. They sell Umpqua ice-cream. They also offer coffee drinks, milkshakes, Italian sodas, teas and root beer floats. Street parking only. Unfortunately they were out of oat milk, which I prefer, so I got the soy. And ended up having to add a little raw sugar because it was slightly on the bitter side. The complaint I have is the matcha really wasn't dissolved very well, so toward the end, it was just clumps of powder. In fact, that was my first sip, so I had to take the lid off and stir it to make sure it was all incorporated. I feel like they need to add scalding hot water first to dissolve it thoroughly before adding the milk or the milk alternative.‍ read more

I also appreciated that they had a variety of sugar free syrup options ( I had white chocolate and it was delicious) Also for my lactose free people out there, they have almond milk and it froths very nice. This coffee shop. My oh my. I was on my way to a hike at Silver Falls and I drove past it. I made myself a promise that if I hiked the 8 miles I could come back and get a coffee here. And that's exactly what I did! I had the pumpkin puree and maple syrup latte with oat milk. It was so so so perfect!! The barista was friendly and sweet and when someone walked in behind me she greeted them by name. The plant shop next door is a fun little place to stroll through. The owner is so kind and helpful with all your plant questions. To be honest I'm not sure if they're separate entities or not. They seem to be connected. But either way, it's a must stop! This is a very poorly run business. Always slow, really unfriendly service. Last time I was there the girl got my drink wrong twice and finally told me she's probably to hung over to be working today. I want to be able to support local business but some make it impossible to do that. I guess dutch will be my regular spot now. They are always friendly no matter what. read more

We stopped here on our way back from Silver Falls State Park to get a drink/snack. It's a cute coffeeshop which is attached to a small nursery. I got a scoop of chocolate ice cream on their waffle cone and my husband got a espresso/chocolate milkshake. Both tasted very yummy! The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Definite recommend this place for a quick grab or for a relaxing experience on their outdoor tables. read more

Beautiful location and wonderful people. Short drive outside of Salem. If you are a biker or just want to take a break from your every day life, this is the place to go. Located right next to the river, it's a specialty coffee and ice cream store that has grown from what used to be an old gas station, and I mean old. There is a small building that was part of the gas station in the small parking lot that contained a coffee roaster. Very cool. See photos. We met Christy the owner who was a pleasure. As we sat inside the small main building, many locals came and went...all of them knowing each others name. It was a Mayberry experience. Beautiful little town set in the rolling hills very near a fantastic waterfall state park called Silverleaf falls. A must see. 10 waterfalls on one trail loop. The coffee shop is on the main road that heads to the falls. Can't miss it. The good: Totally nostalgic in setting and appearance Couldn't ask for nicer people Lattes were good, decent foam and shots were medium to strong. The longer you sit and watch the folks come and go, the longer you want to stay. Outdoor seating is great for nice days Lots to see and do nearby Reasons it's not a 5 star: No WiFi if you're one who won't go to any coffee shop without it. Only three tables inside...but that's about all they can fit. Very limited selection of pastries, muffins and such. Service was fast and friendly.. But the coffee..... I had a decaf latte and my wife had a non fat Latte. Adjectives like burnt and slightly sour come to mind for both. It was not awful but it was not good either. Neither of us finished our coffees which is very unusual. I think next time in Silverton we will try another place for coffee. read more

This is such a cute little place. The coffee is consistently good, the peeps working there are really friendly and a pleasure to chat with...yeah, even the teenagers! :) The pastries are always fresh, and they always have my dog's favorite poppyseed muffins. My favorite coffee in town, no question. We were even able to set up an account over the summer so the kids could pop in for an ice cream or a snack. That was a really nice service they provided...only little independent places can get away with that. We'd rather do our business with local peeps than with big corporate conglomerates when we can, and this one not only fits the bill and does it well but is walking distance from my house! Stopped here a few years ago for a coffee after a camping trip. I don't remember the coffee, but I can't forget the black cherry ice cream. It doesn't get any better than that! I keep trying to find something even half that good but no luck. I live in Georgia so unfortunately I can't just stop by. Although at some point it may be worth the plane ticket. read more
