OMG...All I can say is OMG! We are passing through on vacay and needed something to eat. We kept seeing this local pizza place that kept calling our name. So we visited and WOW!!!!! Amazing. We got a large cheese stick the size of a large pizza. It came with two different sauces. The garlic sauce was to die for. Then there is the large pizza that we got. Everything was amazing. If you live in LaGrange you have an amazing local pizza place in your backyard. If you are visiting give this place a visit...YOU WILL TRULY LOVE EVERY BITE!!!! read more

We ordered a medium garden pizza to be delivered (came from crestwood) pizza was delivered fine but the ricotta cheese spinach and red onion were missing from the pizza. We called the Crestwood store spoke to the manager who told us we would need to speak to instacart about our pizza missing its toppings!!! That's crazy...how is our pizza missing its toppings a fault of instacart? Hometown isnt tge same since mike foster sold it..new owners are greedy. The pizza is okay. Not earth shattering. But it's not total garbage either. Sort of a good change from the chain pizza joints here in La Grange. If you go around lunch you can get a personal size pizza a salad and a drink for like $10. Seems to be a pretty good deal. I like the crust--it was kind of crunchy. The food, the building, and even the staff seemed all OK. My real beef is the patronage this place gets. When we went there was multiple people who got out of the cars smoking and finally put it out at the front door. Some guy was also nice enough to not pull his pants up all the way so we got a showing of ass crack. These people then come in and are seated all around us so we got the pleasant smell of cigarette smoke while trying to eat. Move the ash tray way from the front door. And if people don't bother to use it go out and yell at them because that crap is inconsiderate. What I learned--order online and just pick it up. read more

Not sure what happened tonight. I have been eating at this location for over 20 years and the quality of the food tonight was terrible. There were no managers working, only teenagers. My son ordered chicken alfredo and the pasta was seared, literally BURNT onto the bottom of the foil. It looked like a pile of burnt rubber seared onto the foil pan. He couldn't even stick a fork in it. They messed up my husbands order and gave him the wrong side. He called and they remade the alfredo. My husband had to drive all the way back up there and they didn't even offer any kind of a discount for the trouble. The food quality was unacceptable. My husband showed them the nasty pasta and they replaced it. I hate to see Hometown go downhill. There is a Dominoes and a Pizza Hit nearby but we always preferred Hometown. I haven't eaten inside this place in YEARS, but I've bought many a pizza via take out. My favorite is the cauliflower crust garden pizza. So awesome! Order is always correct and cooked well. Staff is prompt and friendly. They even offer curbside and outdoor seating now due to the pandemic. Very much appreciated! This isn't specific to this location, but the website needs to be updated. You're not able to order a gluten free or cauliflower crust online from what I can tell. If you order via a delivery service the crust options show BUT it's showing it as a $8 up charge which I know isn't right. I remedy this by calling in my order, but it would be nice to do online ordering so I don't feel like I'm tying up an employee by talking on the phone. read more

Hometown Pizza La Grange gets 5 stars, that I know. --It may be because the food is fantastic (half Joe's Special, half Buffalo Chicken on a thin crust pie, trust me on this one). --Or it could be the fact that it personifies small town U.S.A. with a crew that acts like (and sometimes is) family and solid community ties. --It might be that the ~$8 lunch buffet is amazingly cheap for quality grub. --It COULD be because you always end up with leftovers that feed you for days. --Alright...that last one may just be me and my eyes-that-tend-to-be-bigger-than-my-stomach. :) Either way, when someone suggests "Hey, meet me at Hometown" I feel like I'm about to go somewhere special. Hometown Pizza is our favorite pizza!!! The Hometown Pizza in LaGrange is such a nice place for our Bridge Group to get together each Thursday. The private Event Center is perfect with the available tables, delicious food, access to the restrooms, and wonderful customer service. Gave it another try. Ordered online, pics of my order posted, asked for no olives on the southwest chicken pizza, it came with PLENTY of olives. Ordered bacon cheddar fries, got a thimble full of cheddar, an tenth of a slice of bacon, pic posted. Ordered extra marinara for the cheesy bread sticks, pic posted, received zero marinara. I guess I can blame myself, I should have checked the carryout order before I left, but to be honest I don't think I should have to. Normally my experience here is just kind of "meh" In the past service has been slow but food is always good. Last night we went & my kids were kind of in crabby moods. As soon as we walked in we were sat. The hostess had seen my kiddos eyeing the bouncy balls so she brought some over to them. That definitely cheered them up. A server was right over. Grabbed drinks for us & got our breadsticks going. My daughter knocked over her plate & it shattered everywhere. She was very upset. Someone came over quickly to clean it up. Another server saw she was upset & gave her a quarter to get another bouncy ball after dinner. Everyone was fantastic. I kept thinking that this is honestly the best experience I've ever had here even with kids in a not so great mood. Then my pizza came which I had asked for a garden pizza with no mushrooms or onions. I saw a mushroom right on top but didn't have time to have them remake one for me. I went ahead & ate it while picking out the mushrooms I came across. Honestly there weren't much, it was almost like whoever was making it forgot not to put them in there & tried to get them out & missed some. It was on the ticket, I saw the receipt, so this was not the server's fault. Luckily I'm not allergic. Our service was spectacular! I only docked a star simply for the mushrooms. read more

July 8, 2021 - afternoon, ordered pizza from hometown, lagrange ,ky, over the phone. They did not ask for my name. Odd. Drive there to pick up, they don't know of the order ? Ask what it was. I recite the order , they ask for payment. It is now 6 pm , and I should be on the way home with my order. Heaps of people come and go , picking up their orders. Several workers look at me there , but say nothing to me. After 45 minutes of standing there, I am asked what my order was. They find it after looking in their computer, and I am given an almost warm pizza. I ask the time, girl informs me, I say I've been there 45 minutes....she says sorry. And, the pizza was terrible, too. I think they bumped into the sauce pan with the dough, and some sauce accidently got on the pizza. Needless to say, I'll go to dominos before I spend $15 dollars there again ! read more

Ok, I will just throw this out. We found mold in side the parmesan cheese on the table, it was disgusting. I have a picture of it if anybody wants to see it. GOD knows how many people got sick from that. Service is horrible, not enough staff, or staff that cares. From the time I sat down until we left was almost 90 minutes. The only thing good was the water. I am just offering up fair warning to anyone going to this location, it is gross. If you ignore my warning, please , at least check the cheese at the table.
