Just recently opened in Colonial Gardens where Union 15 once occupied this space. Going inside although the interior was clean, you could tell where they gutted the place and you can also tell it's basically just a shell of the former Union 15. The inside doesn't seem to have its own identity apart from Union 15. I sat at the bar beings it was just myself and he was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Even asked what kind of beers I liked so he could give me suggestions on what they had on tap. I have been to other Hometown locations so I pretty much knew what to expect. For food I got a thin crust pepperoni and an order of cheese breadsticks. I'm a fan of hometowns thin crust pizza so that's my go to most of the time. It had the perfect crunch and amount of cheese and pepperoni. The cheese sticks were baked to perfection. I give staff 5 stars, reason for 3 stars is interior, as mentioned before it's just a shell of Union 15 for now. And it is in Colonial Gardens and depending on the time of the day parking and traffic may be an issue. I will be back sometime or another. The staff and food were awesome.

All of the servers are FANTASTIC and friendly. Cortland however is a terrible manager and deserves the termination he wants to threaten his employees with. Servers are the backbone of your business. They deserve an apology and each of them should get that $200 for how cruelly they've been treated.

My husband & I met some friends out for lunch at the Craft House Pizza located at 816 W Kenwood Drive at the Colonial Gardens venue that was renovated some years ago & turned into separate facilities for dining. We had never been to any of the Craft House Pizza franchise. Our friends ordered individual pizza's with a salad, we chose the medium cheese sticks appetizer ($11) which we all split, & we got a medium thin pizza with double pepperoni & pork sausage. The pizza & cheese sticks came out hot & fresh, while the salad looked good: cold and crunchy with croutons, tomatoes, egg, potato sticks & bacon bits. They asked for several of the items on the side. They ordered water to drink, my hubby ordered a small beer & I got a half/half tea. My tea was a little too sweet, but I finished it off nevertheless. We chose to eat outside on their patio (it was a gorgeous late summer afternoon). The young lady that was the server for our table was quick to take our orders, bring the food & refill the waters/tea & offer my husband a second beer, which he declined. The medium cheese sticks were more than enough for a table of 4 to share. Our pizza was also delicious, and the two of us had a slice or two of the nicely cooked thin pepperoni/sausage. Their individual pizza's also came out looking good & they also had some leftovers to take home for a snack. We were able to sit & get caught up of what's new, & never felt rushed by any of the staff. I would definitely recommend Craft House Pizza, & we will definitely pay them another visit. There was plenty of parking close to the restaurant, this location is on the corner of Kenwood Drive & New City Road. The next time we are likely to visit the location on Bardstown Road in Fern Creek, as it's closer to home for us.

Had a girls dinner at house. There were 7 of us, and we arrived at 5 pm and were seated immediately. However, by the time we finished eating , there was a wait for a table. Our waitress was pretty good. We had individual orders consisting of salads and pizza, and one of us had a sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered a chicken bianca medium pizza. Toppings included chicken, bacon, onions, spinach, and an Alfredo sauce. It was light and delicious, served hot with a thin crust. It was enough for 3 meals. There is outside seating, but we ate inside. Once the crowd picked up, it was very loud in the restaurant. We moved outside after dinner to continue our visit. There is on-site parking, which can be packed, but additional parking is available across the street at the bank or the iroquois park amphitheater parking lot. One issue was our food did not come out at the same time. I got my pizza, but no plates first, a couple of salads came out next, then a couple other pizzas, then another salad and finally after 6 of us had our orders the 7th person got her sandwich. Cool atmosphere and a friendly neighborhood feel.

Cheese sticks for the win. Can't go wrong with those every time. I like they give you garlic butter and marinara for dipping at no charge.

Good pizza, surprisingly tasty crust. Reheats well in a microwave or air fryer, for leftovers.

This place is hit or miss. Sometimes it's fantastic, and other times I regret walking in. Staffing seems to be a problem.

Very cute house limited parking very unassuming neighbourhood to a out-of-town. Client service was fantastic. Everyone was so pleasant. Food selection was great. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we got the meatballs, the Arancini balls, oysters, kids pasta and three pizzas. The meatballs came with its own pita homemade delicious. Honestly, it would come back just for that. Of course had to get the tiramisu for dessert even though we were so full and it was so good. Super comparable to pizza and food in Toronto honestly, I was so happy great way to end my two week trip

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

My book club met at Impellizzeri's this week, and upon discovering several of us have dietary limitations, the server and kitchen staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and ensure our ongoing health. A wonderful kitchen wizard ventured out into the dining room to talk to us personally, and confirmed that all the traditional pizza doughs, pastas, and red sauces are vegan. He offered to create a custom pasta dish with a variety of vegetables (spaghetti pomarola with garlic, spinach, and mushrooms), and ensured that the breadsticks that accompany the pasta dish (traditionally made with garlic butter and cheese) were vegan, prepared in a separate location in the kitchen to ensure no dairy contamination. For those with other food allergies and intolerances they ensured every detail was correct, even noticing that a pizza that was inadvertently prepared with an offending food item, and remaking it before it was even finished baking. Pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quantity and the truly excellent service, which is what truly made the experience special. My pasta dish was tasty. Is it the best pasta I've ever had? No - but it wasn't trying to be. What Impellizzeri's does well is serve good food at reasonable prices, in a location and with people who have an eye for detail and a passion for excellent customer service. Well done.

This is a terrific deal, plus it makes us get out of our rut at eating at our favorite place all the time. I will be honest, I have not been to Impellizerri's in years. We've been to Italy and Italian Switzerland many times and love their very thin, fold in your hand pies which have fresh tomato sauce and flavorful local cheese. I was hopeful- Impelliizeris had a thin crust option! Unfortunately, it was as disappointing as I remember. The crust is too doughy, the sauce is bland and the cheese was thick and tasteless. We didn't even eat our leftovers. I don't understand why so many like this, perhaps I should order something else if I return. Just a no from us!
