Losers. Sent me an order I didn't order. I have the receipt. Punk on the phone gave me an attitude, hung up. Called back he started backpedaling. So let's summarize. Large Sicilian with meatballs and mushroom. It barely has cheese on it, it was basically a sauce pizza. Ordered boneless Buffalo and got plain...and look at them. Those aren't wings. They smell foul, like the chicken is bad. Our zucchini soggy as hell. They do not know how to cook! The wings I really want to address a bit more. You really need to lol at that photo. Like I mentioned in the caption on my check in. All of you already know the answer and basically what I'm going to say. Let's start by saying clean place. Social distancing compliant. They also have plexi glass up to keep themselves and us safe. While I can't say the pizza was bad, I also can't say it was good. Just meh. Again, not bad at all. I won't come again but again, they didn't do anything wrong. We all have our different tastes, likes & dislikes. But there's also a quality scale which has to weigh in here. Some places are just better than others. This may be great for those who don't know or don't have time to go to New Haven pizza places here in the area. So sometimes you also have to throw in the convenient factor. And I'm sure this place fills a void for others when the pizza craving or dinnertime calls. Other than that I'm not here to slam the place. Staff was very pleasant at the pick up counter May 7th 2029 covid-19 pandemic time. Pizza was ready when they said it would be. Nice and piping hot just out of the oven. Plenty of ingredients on top. They don't skimp on the toppings. Sauce did taste decent. Parking was also easy. We are locals and go here at least 2-3 times a month probably. Our five star favorites are "Bob's Favorite, Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Bacon Ranch, and always the Hometown Special". The two girls at the counter are the sweetest and make great service. Definitely a fun must have pizza spot! read more

I come here every time I visit family. Coming from southern Ca. I can't wait to have some of the best oven baked pizza in CT. I've had pizza in SF...LA...NY...and HP always comes through. Stopped here last minute and decided to eat in..instead of getting a cold pizza once we got home. Its not really a place that's meant for people to sit in. Mostly takeout. With that being said...ordered the italiano I believe..had fresh basically, sausage, pepperoni and roasted red peppers on it. It was really good. My wife ordered the chef salad and it was pretty stacked with meat. Very fresh! The cheese sticks were regular "pizza place" cheese sticks. I would definitely order again and I think I would eat the pizza there. Pizza is ten times better when you eat it at the spot!! read more

I've been to several Hometown pizzas in several different towns. Seems to be a semi common name. I'll tell you what. This place has me wanting more. My first trip was tonight. I ordered a chicken parm grinder, a chicken cutlet with lettuce, tomato, green pepper, cheese and mayo, and garlic bread w/ cheese. Both grinders made really well. Bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Meat was very good. Overall solid grinders. Garlic bread was cheesy and plenty of garlic. Prices are very reasonable. $21 for 2 12" grinders and garlic bread. Not all that bad. Service is outstanding. Very friendly. Smiles! omg Smiles! We ordered a white broccoli pizza with ricotta cheese to be delivered via a third party app. When the pizza was delivered it was NOT a white pizza and was missing the ricotta cheese. I believe this is associated with the hometown pizza of bristol, due to the menu looking similar and awesome slices and selections. Pizza is delicious especially when reheated extra crispy! The staff is nice, the slices are solid- good sauce and cheese and thin. They should however experiment with huge slices similar to those found in Hoboken, Nj. read more

It's your standard, small town, local pizza place. I got a large pie with onions, green peppers and pepperoni. Respectable amount of toppings, the crust is right on. A great slice has sauce, cheese and toppings that work together and the pizza here is a team player! Worth the price. And... for leftover eaters, it's a great cold slice that doesn't get soggy. We live nearby and either get takeout or eat-in fairly often. My husband is obsessed with the Buffalo Chicken pizza. It's a white sauce with spicy chicken and a creamy blue cheese sauce. I usually get either a plain or the veggie. The veggie supreme is loaded with veggies- including eggplant which is my favorite. The pizza is nice and crispy and they have a good crust.
