Had ordered food from here while relaxing at the Bad Dog Brewery. The Brewery and pizza shop have an arrangement for food to be delivered to the bar. Ordered a cheese slice and wings. They were excellent. Fresh and very flavorful. Delivery guy was very friendly and service was nice and quick. Prices were very reasonable and the food went very well with the beer served at the pub. We stopped here for the first time to grab some food (pizza) and go to the brewery right up the road. We ordered a medium blast off pizza 14 inches for around 24$ it had 10 slices. It's For meat lovers - ham, pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, hamburger and bacon. It was loaded with meat for sure. But the overall size of the pizza was kind of tiny in my opinion. Nicholas' pizza was interesting; It's Greek pizza, so the crust tasted like the perfect salty pretzel at the country fair. It was crispy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside, plus, they piled on the motz. The negatives: The sausage tasted great, but it was a little salty. I should've known better, when you see a pizza place with the name "Nicholas", it's going to be Greek pizza. And Greek pizza generally is not good. Fortunately, I just stopped for a slice. Yeah, it's your standard Greek stuff -- greasy, no flavor sauce, and spongy crust. What more can I say ? A lot of people apparently like this type of pizza, because there are plenty of Greek places in the state of Connecticut, and many have been in business for a long time. Pizza was okay. The bottom of the pizza gets soggy quick and the quality of the pizza dough is not great. Also, don't get the garlic bread. I took one bite and I've never had garlic bread that bad. Especially because it's very simple to make decent garlic bread. Although, the main reason for my bad review was the hair in my pizza! After the pizza had gotten cold enough for the cheese to harden, I took a slice. After a couple bites, I saw and pulled out a black hair from underneath the hardened cheese. Dated decor inside- definitely one of those hole in the wall places that has been around forever. (not a bad thing!) A small pizza is *definitely* small and the garlic bread was pretty huge. We thought the pizza (a small pepperoni, onion & mushroom) was pretty basic. The crust reminded me of my mom's homemade crust- a plus- but it definitely lacked something as a whole. I'm 55. I've been all over the world. This is the BEST pie I've ever eaten. We walked in and there was a party in the next room; 4 moms and 15 10-ish year old girls having a blast. The owner had to move a Pinata someone gifted him off a two-top so we could sit down...it felt like we were joining a family for dinner...and we were. The owner sent a young lady to help us. He walked her through it; from 10 feet away...give them a menu, tell them we now have draft beer... I ordered a beer and my wife the veggie pizza. Although we ordered only one, the young lady brought my wife a beer too (so I had to drink that). We had an order of delicious crispy fries while waiting for our pizza...which took about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the owner came over to chat twice. He also had the young lady carry pizza's to go, to an elderly lady's car, and he made a fresh batch of Zepolli (Italian donuts) for us and the girls. Bottom line, If you're looking for fine dining or a fancy place; this might not float your boat. Their pizza is amazing!! Featuring a light crust that's also crunchy, chewy and delicious!! Cut into squares (I love it!) with the sauce and cheese cooked to perfection... You cannot go wrong. It may look like any other pizza place, but do not overlook this gem of a restaurant! We ordered 3 medium pizzas for takeout: the Nicholas' special, a white pie with spinach added, and a plain cheese. All were just incredible! Honestly some of the best pizza I have ever had. The crust was thin and nice and crispy, and on the ends was doughy (in a good way) and bready. I could've eaten just the crusts plain. The sauce was really fresh tasting, clearly housemade, and the pizzas were well seasoned with herbs. Also great prices, I believe it was around $10 for a medium. A note of advice, just know that they are very busy on the weekends--our order on a Friday night took about 45 minutes. However, it is WELL worth the wait! Delicious. read more

The best capacola I have had in a long time. I go there every year when were covering the imsa race at lime rock. Always have a 12 inch capacola sandwich. The owner and staff are great, friendly and very helpful. Would be a bad weekend if we didn't go eat there. Highly recommended. read more

This is by far the best place in town for pizza. Their grinders are amazing and made from fresh baked bread every day. The salads are amazing also. They also serve amazing burgers.
