They supposedly ran 75ft of cable to snake it - only to tell us it couldn't be unblocked with just a snake and we needed to do a $1500 jet power flush. I felt like they were giving us the run around, so I gave John a call - he came in personally on his day off and was able to power through the blockage with his cable. That's it! This company seems to treat some customers great while playing games with others. I was lied to saying that would start work on a Saturday and never showed no contact Sunday then a note on my door saying they were going to start Tuesday, which I called and told them to forget it. Three weeks this so called piece of crap jerked me around until I found a company that did the work same day and was 1100.00 cheaper and that is thousand not hundred. This person lied to me constantly and jerked me around. I'am a disabled elderly widow woman and did not need to b treated this away. I only hope karma and the good lord punishes u. I hired Hometown Plumbing because I realized I needed my shower/tub valve cut out and that's where I draw the line at my diy plumbing. Since I was going to have to hire a plumber I decided to have them install my new sink and dishwasher as well just so I knew it would be done correctly. I called them and set up a time to have them give me an estimate and possibly do the work same day but they needed to get some parts so they came back first thing the next day. Everything was done quickly and he cleaned up after. Final cost was the same as the quote but there wasn't much left as a surprise since we had the wall demo'd out. Since it was originally a diy project I did have a lot of the parts bought already. So my only note would be let him get the parts you need so they are under his warranty. But he was upfront that any parts he used that were purchased by me wouldn't be covered and I was ok with that as they were smaller parts. Not sure how his prices compare to others because I needed the job done quickly but from the estimate it seemed fair with the labor involved. The most unprofessional and rude plumbing company I've ever encountered. The only positive thing I can say is they got back with me quickly, however can not excuse the manner in which I was disrespectfully treated and rudely spoken to. The plumber attempted to make an appointment to come out without a price quote, but I requested to know pricing in advance. When he finally gave me his price, I mentioned I thought it seemed high. I've had my basement drain back up numerous times since buying this house 5 years ago and twice in the last year. I paid the plumbers, they snaked my drain and I even asked why this happened so often. They told me we must be using too much toilet paper or putting in other things that don't belong in the toilet and never mentioned the sewer line. I've owned 2 other homes and this never happened before. Since it kept happening, I wanted to try a different plumber and I saw the great reviews that Hometown Plumbing got so I called and John came out right away. He cleaned out my sewer line and even gave me tips on how to keep it from blocking up again. He was extremely courteous and the price was right. From the beginning there was good communication. John came out to fix a leaking faucet in the tub that had became an issue. No Matter what we did it just kept leaking.
