I called to get a quote or someone to come out to quote. I described the installation I wanted done and they did not understand me. I told them I wanted to switch out and unthreaded pipe with threaded pipe and have a tub spout installed. They wanted me to submit pictures via text. I guess they have never seen an unthreaded cooper pipe coming out of wall before because that is what they wanted a picture of. That made me have no confidence in them so I decided to call someone else. read more

Not good! I have been waiting for 2 weeks for them to come back to fix what is needed fixing after getting a quote from them. They have the parts needed but they still not here and nothing fixed! They have now canceled on me twice after being scheduled over a week out. I have re-arranged my entire schedule to accommodate them during the sale of my house and showings and raising 3 kids (an extremely busy schedule) but then they cancel repeatedly pushing work out repeatedly. I had a clogged kitchen sink. Made the appointment Thursday evening, they sent someone Friday morning. He came and fixed my clogged sink. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. While he was at my house had he take a look at my kitchen faucet, because I was on the verge of replacing it because the water was coming out so slow. Turns out it was not installed properly, so he fixed that as well. I am very happy with the work that was done. And I will for sure use them again if needed. read more

Over the Christmas holiday we found a water leak at my mom's house. We contacted A-fordable Plumbing & they contacted us right away. They were able to come right out. I will start by saying that the work looks good. Now having said that, the work that was done wasn't exactly what I wanted. Affordable came out for a quote, I was supposed to have the day off from work, however I got called in last minute and had a family member come over to be home for the quote. I wrote down what to ask and tell what I wanted to be done. It also helped that this family member had been helping me on this project and knew what I wanted. Shortly after the quote I called Affordable to tell them I wanted to set up a date. My first call was on Friday April 20th, as I was talking to the young lady that was doing the scheduling I realized a couple things with the quote, so I asked her about these and to make the changes. I then asked her if one of their plumbers wanted to come out again and clarify what I wanted, she said everything was good. I then told her I would call back Monday April 23rd to confirm the appointment to make sure someone could be home. I called back on April 23rd and set the appointment for May 7th and 8th. I once again asked if they wanted to have someone come out again to double check and be sure what I wanted. This time she said she would have the estimator call me. On Tuesday April 24th their estimator called, we talked for a few minutes and I once again said that someone should come out and confirm what that they knew what I wanted. He assured me everything was fine, so I started asking questions and told him there was a drop tub being put in. He said he had quoted me for a wall unit, at this point I again asked him to come back out and go over the project with me to make sure I was getting what I wanted. He said it everything would be fine. Fast forward a couple weeks and the plumbers are finishing up the work, the first problem I had was the fact that they asked my wife to sign off on the work without me looking at it first. She even called me to find out where I was and I told them I would be home in 30 minutes. Second, this is not what I wanted. The put PEX pipe in instead of copper like I had asked for in the 1st call, then to find out the quote didn't include the setting of the fixtures like I wanted. After the did the plumbing I wanted them to come back and tie in all the fixtures. After I got home I went through and was obviously upset, I called Affordable and talked to the estimator. He argued with me for 20 minutes, telling me it was my fault for not looking over the quote and then blaming my family member for not clearly expressing what I wanted. I have huge problem with this, first I did look over the quote and called to have the changes made, they were forgotten about or ignored. Second they are placing the blame on someone else, but this all would have been fixed had they come out like I had asked on 4 different occasions over 3 phone calls. I will not be doing business with them again, and I will be needing this type of service in the future, I have a 15 year old hot water tank and I would like to go tankless. I also have an upstairs bathroom that I would like to redo and go from 1 sink to a double sink. read more

After A-fordable Plumbing tried to sell us two new water heaters for $5,000, we called another company. Our AO Smith water heaters are less than seven years old and they were not even leaking! If you want the best and the job done right the first time call these folks. I have used them in two of my homes spanning a good number of years and have never had an issue. Couldn't find a way to edit first review. After they saw it they did refund my mom the first $125 they charged her. Also, they didn't refuse to come out over the weekend. The way my mom understood them was that she would be okay if the water in the basement didn't get over 3" deep. Of course the only way she knew to manage that was to not run any water. read more

I called them at 9:45 to verify they were still coming and they had not written us down to come and then tried blaming it on me. After, she said unclogging a drain in our house would cost $235 when we have had this issue in the past and it cost $170 with another company. Affordable...not so much. I don't recommend this company and will not be calling them again. I think they used the old bait and switch on my mother who called them regarding a plugged bathroom sewer line. On Friday, a nice man came out, plunged the toilet and said it would be okay. He charged $125. A half hour after he left it did indeed go down. He also recommended changing drain pipes in the basement, gave her a WRITTEN estimate and said he would be back Monday to do the work. Saturday her basement floor had water coming up out of the drain. She called A-ffordable and was told the plunging must have moved the clog downstream, but that no one could get out to snake it until Monday. She had to go the rest of the weekend without using water. Monday came and I was dutifully there, after an hour on the road and putting everything else on hold, to look out for my mom's interests. Another man shows up, snakes the drain for 30 minutes, it goes down, he charges $220 and tells us the first man gave an inaccurate estimate for the drain pipe work and it was now DOUBLE. Also, he didn't even mention doing any of the work of the first estimate. In my opinion, it's a rip-off operation. read more

I called Affordable Plumbing in November of 2015. I told them I was tired of having to have my sewer cleaned out every year or two, and that I wanted this problem fixed once and for all. They asked if I planned to stay in the house and I answered yes, that is why I wanted this problem fixed once and for all. The first cleaning / camera viewing cost $305.00, They needed to do a second cleaning / camera viewing which cost $685.00. They sent me a proposal, stating that the problem was a shift in the pipe at 14' that would cost $5,700.00. To which I agreed and had the work done - wanting this FIXED, ONCE AND FOR ALL. Only to have them tell me that I would have to have the remaining sewer line cleaned out every two years. I was told that the excavators were unable to sleeve out any further under the street because of a root mass. The root mass was cleaned out the following day. I called Affordable Plumbing to resolve this with them, and suggested that they sleeve further out now that the root mass was cleared away. After TWO MONTHS of trying to resolve this with them, I was told that they will cover the cost of my first two year cleaning - SERIOUSLY !! They fixed the part that was not broken, and charged close to $7,000.00 for that, and I AM BACK TO SQUARE ONE. read more
