The designated pet area was convenient, but unfortunately, not all guests were respectful about cleaning up after their pets. I ended up picking up after other dogs while handling mine, which was frustrating. It's just common courtesy--and it keeps the space clean for everyone. Overall, a good experience with a few small challenges. I'd stay again, especially if traveling with a pet.

Our contract is paid off, and we only have to pay maintenance fees each month. The reason we joined Wyndham was because of the level of accommodations that were offered. We always appreciated the safety and cleanliness of Wyndham properties. Finally, I understand that "newly acquired" properties need time to be renovated, but it is probably wise not to have those properties available for owners to use...there were many points used to book this. The reason I chose this resort was because we were looking for a low-key, nature-focused retreat for my aging parents and us. I researched the area and found some fun things to do off-property but thought the amenities on-property would keep us busy. Little did I know, those amenities were not all available and were spread all over the "resort" making it difficult to navigate. I will start with my positives as they are few--the gentleman who was at the guardhouse to let us in, was very friendly. Susie, who we met with when we checked out after being on property less than 12 hours, was very helpful and understanding. Everything else was terrible. The photos available were definitely not accurate to the property. The "cottage" was disgusting. There is no one at the front desk after 5pm. We did not arrive until 9pm. After getting our envelope with keys and pitiful directions from the guardhouse, we drove around the property for a LONG time. There is limited signage and not much in the way of lighting. The property is primarily residential...and the residents are not fans of people driving the speed limit on roads they are unfamiliar with. My husband does not drive slow, and residents were driving like crazy on the roads as we were looking for our rental. Instead of writing another paragraph, I'm just going to list the issues we had with the "cottage": -broken front step -uneven floors -floor strips pulling up from the ground -all flooring was sticky -carpet was deeply stained and pulling away from the floor and walls -film/grime on the bathroom mirrors and counters -hairs on the towels and toilets -shower shelves leaning off the wall -hair dryer pulling off the wall -stairs to the loft shaking and pulling off the ground -extremely limited storage in bathrooms -mold on bathroom wall -overwhelming smell of mildew, mold, "musty" My husband tried calling Wyndham but they directed us to the property's front desk...where there was no one overnight. As soon as the front desk was open, my husband and I went in and spoke with Susie (who was great). We gave her our list of grievances and concerns. We called Wyndham again and after expressing our frustration over the property, the reinstated a little over half of our points. We left and drove to Marietta to stay in a hotel chain that we know and trust. We feel like the worst financial decision we have made as a married couple was to join Wyndham. We are looking for our options to get out. We have yet to have a Wyndham experience that has been positive from start to finish. Usually it's the annoying process of harassment for attending a meeting at check-in which sets our vacation off to a stressful and rocky start. This time, it was the rental property along with the lack of timely customer service. My parents, my husband and myself would definitely encourage readers to stay somewhere else. Wyndham, you have become a huge disappointment.

But it is my experience that next-level amenities make trips memorable. The rooms could use some updating or a little TLC. The included breakfast buffet was average at best--enough to start your day, and that's all. There are many dining and shopping choices nearby, including the cutest little downhome ice cream parlor. You simply must visit Bruster's Real Ice Cream during your stay--it will put a smile on your face! At check-out, the person at the desk was apparently having a bad day, and I tried to cheer her up to no avail. I felt bad for her. I hope her day got better.

the water park was a nice experience, we were there 5 days. we rented one rv site, two cabins…read more(one cabin for the same 5 days, one for only 1 night. the cabins were NASTY. the air filters (only checked because it was running but not flowing cold air) were BLACK!!!! these were cleaned and placed back (by us) and then the air was fine. the floors were nasty. and food from previous guests were found under bed and couch in living room. No reason in this as you check out at 9 but can't check in until 4pm. plenty of time to clean these cabins. especially for what they rent for. the activities packs. we purchased four of the packs when doing the which was one of the items on the packs. There was no paint to paint with all the bottles were empty. The lady that was doing the activity apologized repeatedly, but there is no reason for y'all not to keep paint stopped at the activity center especially for what y'all charge if you want to buy the ceramic separate which we did and we had no paint to paint it. Also, one of the items on the activity packet was that they would receive cotton candy. We went to each place up at the waterslides and back to the rec center. Nobody ever had cotton candy and they kept sending us and this again there is no reason for that to be the to be available when you make it part of your is a great place and it could be better much better. We were also at the RV site down by the old section where and the kitty area playground mini golf there was tore up the entire was and they worked on it and worked on it. I don't know company came, but those type of those types of things should be up and running quickly or replaced whatever so things could be so much better. We would love to come back and see things greatly improved.

The kids and I visited the park this past weekend for our yearly back to school adventure trip. (1…read moreadult, 3 11 year old girls, 2 10 year old boys). Check in was a strict 4:30 check in as they had a lot of turn overs that day. One of the older ladies in the front office wasn't very helpful or pleasant to deal with. We got there around noon and was able to head down to the water park and play until check in. There are plenty of bathrooms down there for changing into swimsuits. *After check in and unloading the vehicle, we were able to head back to the water park and swim until supper time. The pool at the rec center was down and completely green so we weren't able to swim at the pool closest to our cabin. Communication was a bit confusing with some of the guest reps. We tried to buy the guest experience packages and was told by employees at every building that it was at a different location on the property. After speaking with every location at least twice, we were able to speak with a manager and got our experiences purchased. *On day one, Friday evening, we witnessed a mother and her toddler swimming in the pool at the water park swimming with no diaper. The child told her mother she had to potty. Child walked up the steps and out of the pool and pooped right on the concrete. Mother picked her up and walked to the bathroom and left the turd on the concrete. An employee had to clean it up after we flagged them down. *Saturday, we enjoyed the water park and some of the activities on our VIP experience but again got the run around on the locations of simple things like where firewood could be purchased, where the cotton candy machine was located, and when we could do activities. They didn't have the red gem bags so we had to split a bucket between the kids instead. We were told to check back for the meet and greet and ultimately told it wasn't available for us. If this is important to you, make sure you schedule it soon after you check in or you'll miss out like we did. The glow in the dark hay ride Saturday night was by far my favorite experience there. The golf carts followed behind and made for a very cool parade throughout the park. The employees really hyped it up with sing along songs. *Sunday was check out at 11 but after packing up we were able to do our ceramic (it's just painting a piece of pottery). When we cashed in on our stuffed animal we were told to go to the store at the water park but they told us it had to be done at the rec center. Rec center told us to go to the water park store. The back and forth was exhausting. The cotton candy machine was never located and eventually we spoke to an employee for an exchange of cotton candy for a scoop of ice cream. And again Sunday, the same mom allowed her toddler to swim with no swim diaper but this time the kid successfully pooped in the pool causing a shut down of the ONLY pool on the property for a few hours. *Our cabin was listed as fully stocked kitchen and linens for rent however there were linens in our cabin along with shampoo, conditioner, body wash on the wall of the shower. I would suggest bring more dish soap as you only have 6 of everything and will have to wash a lot. They provide a tiny bottle of dish soap but we definitely needed more. *All in all, my kids and I enjoyed this trip a lot and would definitely come back. My only hope is that they can learn from their chaos and work on communication and training employees on when and where everything is located. Knowledge is power. I'd like to see more employees hanging out by the pool to enforce diaper laws (it's a Georgia law that babies wear them btw) *Also note the fire pits at our cabin was literally three feet from our cabin. It rained a lot so we couldn't get our fire going but looking back, it might've been a blessing in disguise due to close proximity to the cabin itself. *There is so much more I could share but this is already very lengthy. Parents, if you need any information feel free to DM me as I learned more via people camping than I did from calling the office or going into the buildings to speak with employees there. *Also note, our WiFi wouldn't work at first. Had to have maintenance come down to fix it. That maintenance man was golden. Loved him. Super friendly and sweet to my kids (but not in a creepy way) *The roads are terrible. The pot holes are similar to a dirt road or down town Atlanta. *Our bathroom door also didn't latch properly. Every time the kids had to use it, I'd have to go lift up on the door to get it to close for them. *The mattress on the bottom bunk bed had springs poking out and into my body. I only survived because I just happened to bring a yoga mat which I was able to use for cushion. *Our air conditioner was perfect and we never ran out of hot water.
